You will NOT find a better, fair, honest, and accommodating agent than Joan Myers and Acton Real Estate. I dealt with Joan and Roger but primarily Joan. I liked both of them. One of the best things about Joan is her incredible wealth of knowledge on .what to look for as far as bonuses and deal-breakers in your soon-to-be new home. You can call her anytime at the office or her cell and she will get back to you within minutes. Once it took her longer because she was on vacation in Alaska. Any idea of how many cell towers are in Alaska? Not too many. Nevertheless, Joanie did call us and emailed us and made an appointment with the seller's agent for us to see the house....THAT DAY. Not impressed yet? We started out looking for rentals because we didn't want to pay for all the taxes and upgrades of owning a home. She showed us house rentals from Marlborough to Shirley, Ma. After looking at several rentals (10+) we became very disillusioned with what was available in that large area. We have 2 wonderful loving cats. There are very few places that "allow" your pets ( ages 10 and 8 years) . I guess these places expected us to euthanize both of them for the privilege of living in their rental. So we began thinking of buying. We had no idea of how to even begin to find out if we could qualify for a home loan. We looked at each other and said, " let's call Joan!". Our heroine Joan helped us learn about buying, showed us a few tricks (all legal) and after looking at 17 houses in which Joanie jumped at a moment's notice - seriously, to help us get in and look at the place, we finally found our dream home and property for LESS than the rent we we paying in our current rental. Yep, she's that good. Her motto is : treating every client like they're my only client. She certainly lives up to it. Upon final closing and walk through of our new home, we felt like we were leaving a family member behind when we said our goodbyes to Joan. We still keep in touch whenever there's a question of "how to or who to go to" for help. She knows a lot of helpful people AND she's still as helpful and friendly as ever. She didn't forget who we were once she got her commission. Honestly, this is the only place you need to go to when thinking of buying or renting! It appears that this office employs at least some individuals who have a history of conducting their business by wreaking havoc -- retaliation, mud-slinging, whatever you may desire to call it -- on other people's professional and private lives. There is a character in your employ by the name of a Kate Brassel who has a very disturbing history of trampling over the lives of innocent others including students, professors, et al. -- -- apparently stemming from New York to Petaluma, CA, Holyoke, Andover, Cape Cod, Concord, Massachusetts on up through Maine traipsing around in a high-falutin' trampling fashion over customers and the general public -- and we refuse to conduct business with an organization that is a risk to our financial, moral, and mental well-being. From unwelcome and flamboyantly, arrogant sly, grotesquely manipulative flirtations to instigating law suit hungry confrontations, your employee has lost you potential business. Disgusting to say the least because at least some lives suffered irrecoverable damages, injuries, and wounds due to Brassel's professional and moral decrepitude, some to the tune of millions in damages and surmounting; yet, the integral damage to individual lives and families is incalculable and also surmounting, Brassel. Kathleen Brassel, please know that you are on notice that if you harass, intimidate, flaunt around, retaliate against, or entice innocent families including ours -- including screaming out of your vehicle targeting common pedestrians as has occurred amidst Professors and unwitting students of immediate past -- for whatever twisted motives you have against others in workplaces, institutions, and the general public you'll be reported to the police accompanied with an application for a restraining order. Try asking your Professors and professional colleagues about such heightened concern for personal and family safety given your past history. They're not likely to wince at shedding light on the truth of your all too obvious sly games.
