I went to Mr. Lube in Barrhaven for the first time yesterday (July 12, 2026), and it will also be…read moremy last. I'd heard about the half-price oil change and thought it would be a great deal. Instead, the visit quickly turned into a constant stream of upselling. I came in for an oil change, but they started checking items I hadn't requested, and I wasn't informed beforehand that these inspections were part of their service. They tried to sell me automatic transmission fluid even though my vehicle has a manual transmission that does not use automatic transmission fluid (per the manual). They also told me my coolant was wrong, despite it having just been checked. In addition, they checked my tire pressure, turn signals, and brakes - things my car already monitors and alerts me to if there's an issue. All of this happened while I sat in my car on a very hot day. What should have been a quick 10-20minute oil change took over 40 minutes. Had I known this would be the experience, I never would have chosen Mr. Lube. I'll be going back to Oil Changers for future service.
