I'm sure their work is great judging by the reviews. Unfortunately, they weren't able to do any work when I had contacted them because the guy handling the calls is unprofessional. We agreed on a price/date. On the date/time the work was supposed to be done, the guy doesn't show up and states he's doing another job right now. That's fine, I get it. Shit happens. Should have given me an update at the very least, no? Especially since I told them I had another company that was willing to do it but I chose Barricella once they were able to meet the price. The least they could do was show some courtesy here and give me a heads up so I could plan accordingly. I live in NJ and drove to NY and canceled some plans expecting work to be done but they weren't even going to show up. Because it's in NYC and I needed the super of an apartment behind my home to allow for easy access for the removal of the tree, the super (who wasn't a live-in super) had to travel to the building only for me to tell them, face-to-face, Barricella wasn't going to show up. Nice. No apology, no nothing. Just a "We can't show up." Totally disregarding other people's time. I ended up just calling the other company and within a few days, they completed the job. No hassle, no back-and-forth nonsense. My brother has a home in Long Island and we've already set up an appointment to remove a handful of trees. Do better, seriously. Edit: To prove how even more unprofessional this business is, they sent me a message claiming I was posting a fake review. I responded by uploading a photo of our conversation. The owner is now claiming that the photo is also fake. Not only is this immature and unprofessional, it tells me they are taking zero accountability for their mistake and are doubling down on being unprofessional. read more

Which I was interested in his ideas. He showed me pictures drew sketch's and I loved his ideas. He was coming today to move two of my plants. Low an behold he moved everything and planted the new shrubs and plants. He put down a sprinkler hose and set everything up. Michael did a great job I'm very happy everything looks great. When we moved to Brooklyn five years ago our backyard had been freshly planted and I admit that we neglected to maintain it. Our yard quickly became overgrown, shading all the natural light. Unfortunately I'm not able to give them five stars.They did arrive early but, no one had a mask .The removal of the tree went well not the grinding of the roots because that's when Mike said, they do not remove the saw dust. He did not say that to me when he first came what he did say was that they clean everything unfortunately he didn't. Now we have about a foot high of saw dust we will have to remove. We used Barricella Bro's Landscaping to get rid of a mulberry tree that was growing too close to the building and damaging our fence. Mike and his assistant came out and had the tree gone in two hours and the area cleaned up. They had to contend with two fences and a FIOS cable going through the tree. They also had to bring the tree and debris through our apartment to cart it away. When they left, I couldn't tell a whole tree had come through my apartment! A large tree in my backyard was damaged in a storm and I needed someone to come safely cut down a branch that had partially broken off and was hanging precariously over wires. I spoke to five landscapers and Barricella Bro's was the most responsive and flexible, and also came in at a very good rate. I called on Thursday and they came on Saturday. They were right on time and got the job done in under 90 minutes, even though the tree was much taller than they originally anticipated.
