We have a nice site in a good location. Everyone from the owners down to the weekend camper are very friendly and everyone is helpful. They have been deal with COVID-19 well and have been in constant contact with us with updates etc. All the utilities are good and they continually keep things in good working order. We definitely made the right choice and hope to be here many years.

However, prior to quiet hours we were approached by staff stating we were too rowdy and that we were acting "stupid". We have been to several campgrounds over the years and have never been spoken to about being quiet prior to quiet time nor have we ever been insulted and called stupid. The staff could have certainly approached us differently instead of ridiculing us. Two sites down there were people who were louder than we were who did not get spoken to. Not sure why we were targeted. Unfortunately we will not return.

It is just the right size and has lots of activities for kids. I stayed here because my friends have a summer spot. My neighbors smoked, the others had loud music, and there is a firing range close by. My dog is terrified. We managed, of course! She had her safe spot with me in our tiny camper. Everyone was really nice. The staff were so kind. There are lots of trails in the area for hiking or you can just stay at the campground and swim, either in the pool or in the pond. They offer bike, kayak, and other rentals. There is a large rec area and a small store. The sites are clean and spacious. We enjoyed the Bark Park! I booked late - I think had I known I was going to camp this weekend and booked earlier - I could have booked a spot further away from all the action. That being said - the firing range is still a big deterrent for me because of my beloved dog. So if you want a nice place for your kids and don't mind the firing every night and all day Sunday - this is the spot for you!

It's not the place to go if you want a quiet, commune with nature while doing your 5am yoga routine. But if you want your kids to run into the campsite excited from winning 20 lollipops at the arcade and run off again to meet their new friends at the water slide this is your place! There were teens playing manhunt on the softball field that were cool about my kids joining in, movies in the theater every night, tie dying and a ropes course. We played mini golf like 10 times and sometimes other kids would join us. We camp a lot, mostly at state parks. This place was different but in a really fun way. My kids are begging to go back and we just left a few hours ago. 4 stars because it's kind of loud, just from families having fun (playing music, talking, laughing, cook outs) and I probably wouldn't camp here as an adult with out kids. We felt like they did a good job sticking to covid regulations and we really felt safe here in all respects.

Go figure.$26 dollars for a key is crazy! then on top of that, my son's grandmother booked six campsites most of them were the safari tents on one side and then she got a cabin and a RV trailer on the other well some of her kids in high school grandchildren were on the other side, having a good time, but being a little loud at night, got them kicked out, but also got me kicked out because it was all under her name and they kicked everyone out as a group. even though I'm on the whole opposite side of the camp grounds. I tried talking to the manager I wasn't even over there. I can't control others actions. I'm on the whole opposite side of the campgrounds, but he already had his mind made up and was just a broken record of kicking out the whole group whether you did it or not. So I get kicked out for no reason at all no refund no fair explanation i'm a dad who works hard for their money but don't make a whole lot. I've been a town employee for 19 years. I don't go around causing trouble! almost $1500 to rent a rv and a golf cart for 2 and a half days! gone for nothing!! one thing I learned from this place is, I will never let someone else book the site under their name that was the first and last time because this place has shown me they are completely unprofessional in handling the situation correctly.

It is camping the way it used to be! The sites are spacious and can accommodate RVs of all sizes. There are also tent sites along the Lamprey River. Canoes and kayaks are available to borrow. There is a rec hall with ping pong, pool, puzzles, games, etc. A small store sells ice, firewood, snacks, and ice cream. There are monthly potluck dinners and other activities throughout the summer. The campground is kept neat and clean, and campers have commented on the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers. Wellington Camping Park is owned by the Wellington family, and it is managed by a woman named Gail. She is a wonderful manager, fair, and well respected. Give this campground a try. You will not be disappointed!

We drove 3 hours to meet her and she was an hour…read morelate to the meeting point(no cell service to contact her), completely unprepared for us as she "pulled the wrong file" "what did I tell you we were doing" We basically drove up and down route 26 for 6 hours looking for moose on the side of the highway. She stopped to asked the locals where to find moose and spoke endlessly about the types of trees in NH. No moose were spotted at all even after a desperate mosquito infested walk through the woods (yes, we had bug spray but it didn't make a difference). We were told "plan B" was to drive up and down the same highway at midnight to see if the moose were out. This was a surprise for my husbands birthday, It was a surprise for both of us! This was a complete waste of time and money.

Lucy met us in the morning and we went straight to the river. It was such a gorgeous and enjoyable ride and she was so pleasant and relaxed the whole way through. She gave us some simple tips on kayaking and also some nice information on some of the wildlife and history of the area. When we reached Lake Ossipee the wind was very strong which made the lake very choppy and her lead was so assuring in the challenge that lay ahead of us - she was awesome and we made it to the other side of the lake without any issues whatsoever. I would highly recommend Lucy if you want to experience a great day outdoors in the White Mountains
