She had a friendly connection with Brendan and some other staff; she had a terrible Christmas last year, and she told me how doing a Christmas craft and attending your Christmas party healed that for her. She was happy, and I can't imagine she was an issue other than the crying, She sent me pictures of the " neighborhood" she was moving into for the rest of the season. She was happy. She's been struggling so much since the loss of that dog. I felt like she had found a place to heal, was having fun, and was going to be ok. She mentioned wanting to be friendly ( greeting people is hard for her) and make the park a better place, like picking up others' trash. I was shocked to hear she was asked to leave simply for having an autistic meltdown, a neurological event she will experience for the rest of her life, like a seizure. Even if this made others uncomfortable, she didn't damage any property, threaten anyone, or do anything that could possibly warrant this treatment. It seems that someone was uncomfortable with the intensity of autistic emotions, and she and I now faced devastating consequences, including additional costs from a hotel, having to move the trailer twice, once now and once again in Oct when she had planned to leave, and Ubers. Moreover, I also have a traumatized daughter who is scared to settle anywhere, worried she will be kicked out for crying. This never needed to be handled like this. She tried to advocate for herself and ask for one more night to prepare, but she never refused to leave; she was packing well, advocating. She was also advocating, believing that the people who had been so kind would be reasonable. Then she was retaliated against for that advocacy. The retaliation for the civil rights complaint is incredibly disappointing as the first step in disability discrimination issues is to try to get the parties to resolve. Grace is reasonable, and a resolution could have been reached to address any non-discriminatory concerns; instead, you chose violence. Grace is kind; I realize she is a bit awkward, but that doesn't mean she wanted this mistreatment. Additionally today they gave her a hard time coming to pack up the trailer to have it moved despite her every effort to follow there rules.

We've RV'd all across the USA - this is the first 1-star review I've ever gifted a park and I'm only doing this to warn others to keep driving! Our next door neighbors were fantastic, the first night we all sat by the fire and chatted but the second night was just so bad with drunk people yelling and the loud music.... Everyone sadly went inside because it sounded like it would eventually turn into a domestic situation that none of us wanted a part of for our own safety. The car vacuum and tire air machines were inoperable. The trash is only at the front entrance, none others throughout the large campground - which we empty daily so that's a bit of a haul to the front gate each time. The golf carts non-stop all day and allllll night... over the speed humps - annoying. I didn't use the restrooms - there was a young boy tormenting his screaming sisters with wet toilet paper balls in them... never saw a parent - ever so I didn't approach. Positives are that the laundry room was in good working order and the gift shop staff was nice, check-in was easy. Overall - do not stay here until they get this park back under control.

It's not because our rates aren't high enough, they charge as much a season here as they do at Danforth Bay. which is a true Camp Resort also located in NH. The beginning of this season started off poorly between the lack of grounds upkeep, we had our leaf bags sitting at our camp sites until July 4th weekend. I had a dear friend from Maine who rented a tiny house back in January, she confirmed 2 times both in March and early May. She was literally driving down the driveway at 4:10PM on Memorial Day weekend when she received a call that her reservation was canceled because she has 2 dogs. The online system allowed her to pay for the stay and put the pet's info down. No apology was given to her simply a cancelation. My husband was available and could have taken her dogs to our home, but she wasn't allowed any options. The more upsetting part was, I was trying to convince her to become a seasonal with us, needless to say, the bad taste didn't go ago. We too contemplated going to another campground. Others in the area that are less expensive and offered comparable amenities however we fell for this year's staff and the hope improvements to the campground will be made. John, the Activities Director was such a delight. Always hardworking with creative ideas on how to make Tuxbury Pond more pleasurable and engaging for the campers of all ages. The office staff both Carin & Kate were always knowledgeable with a quick smile and helpful hand. It would be great if there were a little eatery on the grounds sometimes you don't want to cook and it's another social place to gather with other campers. The Lodge would be perfect for a little sandwich/ pizza joint. Also the store is handy but if it offers more of the emergency staples, that too would be helpful if you needed bread or forgot the eggs, you need to run to the grocery store. In closing, for us this next season will be the tell-tale season. If we don't see improvements or if there is another season with ALL new staff, we'll be moving on. Sadly, I see more and more campers and trailers pulling out of the campground. I do hope upper management starts looking at the campground and not their wallets. But I can say the campground is safe, family orientated, and the campers are very friendly and welcoming.

Knowing this, the staff reserved a spot for us when we called knowing we couldn't fit into most of their spots. Upon arrival we find out that they gave our spot away ( a blessing in disguise) and moved us to the rear of the park. Our new site was backed up to a maintenance path used by golfers and staff but non the less it wasn't a bad spot. Very hard to back into being a tree was on the back in drivers side but once in, it was fine. Now let's talk about the RV Park. I'd say 90% seasonal RVers. They pretty much let the people do what they want with the sites. Patios made of cinder blocks. Overgrown grass and trailers that haven't been moved in decades. There was a mini tennis court with a broken gate and a net about to fall off. One playground at the entrance of the park and that's about it. Now knowing the lack of amenities, we thought what would be the big deal with inviting our family to our camper being they never saw it. Well once we asked the front desk if it would be a problem having them over they said they would need to charge $6 per person and $9 if they stay past 9pm. When asked what amenities are they paying for besides visiting us, no pool, no activities, nothing, they said that's policy. I understand, but when you have nothing you would hope people would want to spend time there. Now for the golf course. We called and asked for a tee time Saturday morning. They told us that there was a tournament going but they can fit us in between parties at 9:40am. When my father-in-law arrived, the man at the office said the scheduling person was nuts to schedule us being there were so many people on the course. After feeling bad about turning us away they tried to put us in real fast but it would have been a disaster mixed in with them. Another example of their poor planning. So to wrap it up, if your a transient RVer like us with kids and would like a clean, organized, RV park with amenities, and friendly staff, this is not your place. If your cool with being mixed in with seasonals that look like they permanently moved in, give it a shot. For us, we will never return.

The only problem was they did not allow fires in the evenings so my children were inside playing video games or watching TV once the mosquitoes came out to play around 6 PM. This past summer, my husband and I decided we don't want "cottage kids" we want "camping kids." We sold our cottage, bought a camper, and found the perfect home and Moody Beach Campground with manager Rick and his team. I don't know where to begin with the compliments for Rick and his entire staff. They are helpful, kind, friendly, loving, and they made us feel like we belong to part of the family that has been created at this amazing campground. Examples of this include, when I had packages delivered directly to the campground, because our primary home is in Washington DC, I was either notified about the packages immediately or they were literally dropped off at my site. Another example is when my new babysitter was NOT watching my young toddlers, two and three years old, swimming with floaties in the pool, instead she was on her cell phone texting. One of the cleaning people, brought it to my attention on the QT and I cannot thank her enough because ultimately she could've saved my children's lives by giving me this information. I was so PROUD to have guests come to my site to experience the family like atmosphere that Moody Beach Campground provides. At night, someone literally drives around in the golf cart dropping off/selling wood for people who need it. They have hayrides around the clock during the weekends. They also have a bus that takes you to the beach which is a little over a mile up the street and will pick you up at the beach to take you back. Not to mention, there are a ton activities for the kids, and amazing playground, a huge super clean pool, and the list goes on and on!! In conclusion, if you are looking for a place to call "HOME" for the summer or simply home for a weekend, or a week or two, look no further!!! If I were ever to hit the lottery for millions of dollars I would give a huge chunk to Rick (and Christy - she's sooooo awesome, and his entire team, especially the loving and friendly women who clean the cottages) because he is every camper's dream-come-true manager!!! Rustic shower buildings that are coin operated at 25¢ for 5-6 minutes. 50¢ was plenty of time. Dish wash stations are located at these buildings which is nice for tent campers. Internet can be good if you pay 3$ a day for a premium code. This is good for people who work remote. Pro tip for campgrounds. Install premium, premium internet for traveling professionals. We were told by another man at the campground that we were permitted to run our quiet generator overnight. The posted cutoff time was 9:00 AM, and we fully intended to shut it off by then. At approximately 8:50 AM the following morning, a woman who lives on-site who is named Karen (no pun intended)- and appeared to run the facility came pounding on our RV door, yelling at us about running the QUIET generator all night. We tried to explain that we had been told we were allowed to do so and that we were going to shut it off at the required time. Instead of having a reasonable conversation, we felt that we were essentially pushed out and harassed during the short time we were there. We also had our baby with us, and it was a hot summer night. Being told that we should have simply opened the windows was incredibly frustrating and felt completely dismissive of our situation. We came to enjoy a three-night camping weekend and instead left after barely 24 hours because of how uncomfortable and unwelcome we were made to feel. We have never experienced this kind of treatment at a campground before. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we will never be returning to Hampton State Park RV Camping. The way we were treated was completely unacceptable and left us extremely disappointed and disgusted with the experience. She told us and I quote "this is a campground, not a prison" But clearly it wasn't.
