I just love Barro's. What great lunch specials they have and the food is always great. I had the slide and small drink but should have spent the extra $2 for the 2nd slice. I didn't want to be stuffed, I had a few more sales calls and then catch an airplane back home to LA. The people were super nice and the place was big and clean. Usually I'm a fan of Barro's but on this night someone somehow dropped the ball. The wife and I ordered a half Combo / half Veggie. On regular crust. Pretty simple. What came out of the box was a Hot Mess. It looked like they took two separate pizzas and pieced them together. One on Regular crust the other on Thin. The thin slide toppings slid right off the top. What we could salvage on the veggie side was like frozen cardboard. It was bad really bad. Whoever did this knew what they were doing. Sorry Barro's it'll be awhile before you see us again. The food came really fresh and hot so i like it. Im not gonna have a comment on service cause someone came there ahead of time from us and then ordered for us so im not sure how fast or slow it is. The ambiance is really very homey, what i don't like is they don't have any paper towels in there bathroom, and they only have a blower but that specific day was a chilly day for us (02/28/25). What happened!? I often stop in for 1-2 slices while shopping nearby on weekdays because the pizza ranges from average to amazingly wonderful, especially the crust. Today, a Saturday around 12:45-1:00 pm, the pizza was the worst I've ever had anywhere. I probably won't go back it was that bad. The crust tasted like and had the consistency of stale cardboard with a bit of rubber added. Also, the top part, where the toppings should be, was covered in large, dry, burnt bubbles of crust. Going back to high school - I'll be 50 this year - Barro's has been some of the best pizza Phoenix has to offer, whether at a restaurant or grabbing a slice at the food court. Since gluten has been off the table for me for 20 years, I had to give them up. Gluten free pizza ranges from disgusting to edible--until Barros started offering gluten-free pizza. Ordered a pizza for delivery @ 3:55pm, promised to be delivered in one hour, NOT! It's now 5:20pm, we're hungry. Called, and I was transferred to the "manager" who offered me 15% off my order. I accepted, what else could I do? They charge you a $3.00 delivery fee and then ask you for a tip. You feel pressed to leave a tip on top of a delivery fee, just so they won't mess with your food. Upon ordering for dine in, I was provided a marker to sign the sales slip. I was never offered a receipt. The place was a mess with most tables uncleaned, items all over the floor. Horrible customer service. Our wings that were delivered to the table were not hot at all. (Pizza was great). I told the girl at the counter and she completely disregarded what I said and told me that they looked great when she delivered them to the table and then just walked away from me without saying anything else. Barro's is always a great choice! Normally, we order delivery but lately we have been stopping in to grab slices. We order the Hawaiian style slices when we dine-in. Sometimes the crust is a little crispier than I'd like, but overall the pizza is good. You'll need to ask for a water cup and napkins at the front. For some reason, napkins aren't automatically given out. Also with water cups, you'll need to specifically ask for a straw too -- there are none available at the drink station. Very casual ambiance. Worst service ever! We have NEVER had this bad of an experience at this location. Arrived, only one table in the place, so they are NOT busy. Place our order, get our wine, mug of beer and a soft drink cup. Find the table we want. First up, pizza comes out in about 15 minutes, no problem.... But we need plates, napkins and forks. I asked the girl who delivered the pizza for such and asked about our salad and wings. She said the wings and salad would be out soon. She literally brought the plates with nothing else. I had to ask for forks and napkins. No response, just put them on the table, okay, we start to eat the pizza. We wait and wait. No salad no wings. I go up with my receipt and ask about the remaining part of our order. The clerk takes my receipt and then proceeds to tell me the pizza always comes out first! I asked since when??? She then goes into the kitchen, comes out and says it will be 10 minutes more. At this point, I ask for the manager. He finally comes out after a few minutes. Apologizes. Wings and salad come to the table shortly after I return back to table. The server asks if we need anything else. I asked for to go boxes, which arrived at the table promptly. Can you really go wrong with cheese, sauce, bread, and meats? A pretty solid staple for the office when in need of a large order. Multiple varieties of toppings and pizza styles. From white pizza, to bbq chicken, meat lovers, and Buffalo chicken pizza! Crust is a little thicker than a regular pizza, but that's not a bad thing! I've ordered from Barro's a few times, but yesterday I walked in for a dine-in experience and.... it was fairly positive! I walked in during lunch time and the establishment was clean, and the service was quick. The pizza was alright (I definitely prefer Domino's pizza), but it wasn't bad by any means! Would not recommend their fountain drinks though; my Dr. Pepper didn't taste like Dr. Pepper and seemed flat despite it being recently poured. read more

Paid almost $50 for pizza to be delivered.... It was slotted to take an hour.... It's been over and hour and they said another 20 mins. The girls who answer the phone don't understand customer service. Each time they are taught to answer and "ask" if you can hold with out letting you answer. Totally understand the world we live in is crazy right now however it's no excuse for rudeness. In all honesty I don't think I would have been frustrated really if they understand their own timing. When I asked how much longer she said "we'll Im really sorry" and counted how many other deliveries there we're gonna be on his route - meaning now my pizza is not only taking longer but it will most likely be super cold too. I do frequent this location. Never really upset. But while my family is going through a difficult time during the start of the holiday season I didn't want to pick up my food today. Loved this location! They have the same big menu as other Barro's locations. They even have an area for kids which is always a hit with my kids. Food was good as always and taste was spot on! Plenty of seating and parking in the area. Bathrooms are also clean! Employees are friendly and quick. We will definitely come back to this location. read more

I don't know if it's just me or what but almost every time I order over the phone or online I am always waiting longer than expected. They give a time of 25 mins but like clockwork I am waiting an extra 10, 15, even 30 mins after my pickup time. The pizza is good and the place is nice to sit and eat but I am not sure why my orders are always delayed. Please do better. Be leary of ordering online to this restaurant 51st Avenue and Baseline. They use third party for processing online orders and no one pays attention to the orders. My $166.00 order was given to Doordash and should have been pick up. Manager could have cared less that I was there and the order was gone. All he could tell me was to take it up with the third party who i didn't even know who it was. He told me Doordash. I will never order online again and never from this location. Terrible customer service. I did a week later figure out how to contact Doordash and they did refund me but that day i went without my order. read more

This rating goes to Barrow's because they choose Postmates to deliver their orders. I got the app and order and ordered a pizza for delivery through Postmates. There was an option for a discount for first time customer. I selected that and my delivered total was reduced to $29 and change from $35 and change. So far so good! Then I get a possible fraud text from my bank on this purchase. I noticed that instead of $29 and change they ran my card for... $45.69! I hate to do this review because I love Barro's but I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza last night(Nov. 3) around 3 hours after eating pizza I've had the worst food poisoning ever. Staff and food are great! Their lunch specials are amazing and at a price you can't beat. This is the best place Laveen has to offer, in my opinion. I've been here twice since moving to this side of town and they haven't disappointed. The restaurant is also very clean and comfortable. read more
