Great sub spot! I was just looking for a cheap low key lunch and I was lucky to stumble upon this place. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the staff, saw a "Cheers" like atmosphere from the locals. I learned this place has been open for 44 years and it is obvious why they've been successful: *high quality, yet inexpensive food *clean, cozy environment *welcoming and fast customer service. Good sandwiches for an affordable price. This place is really close to the office I work at so when I'm not working remotely I like to get lunch close by. I get the mini italian on wheat with everything except for olives and mayo. For only $5 they put a lot of meat on the sandwich - they definitely don't skimp like some places. The people who run it are very nice, it looks like it's a family operation. It's typically pretty fast, if you come during a lunch rush you might have to wait a few minutes but nothing crazy. read more

Why is this place not packed to the brim? The Sub Shop is amazing. They have an amazing selection of breads - they aren't limited to subs. Plus, it's quick and it tastes so good. I recently got myself a turkey and avocado sandwich on multigrain bread with lettuce and tomato. The only thing keeping it from perfection were sprouts, but the lettuce gave it a nice crunch regardless. I can't wait to go back the next time I "forget" to make myself lunch. Quick. Easy. This is a great little place you would never know is there unless you were actually searching for it. It's in the heart of a big industrial complex and has actually been there since 1980. They are very busy during lunchtime during the week, but their service is fast. All the ingredients are incredibly fresh and the food is made to order. Absolutely love this place! It's less than a mile from the office I work at, so very convenient for me. I love that it's owned and operated by a family and their sons. Customer service is great, the owner always remembers my name which is a nice touch. The food quality is amazing and so fresh! I usually get the Arizona Delight. It has FRESH avocado not that gross avocado spread most sandwich shops use. Breakfast burritos are also delicious and their fries! Not far from other restaurants I have reviewed that are in close proximity to the he south end of Sky Harbor Airport, this sandwich spot is a local favorite for breakfast and lunch. A family owned and operated restaurant that has daily specials, rotating soups and a good value overall makes this a regular stop. A good variety of hot and cold subs, salads and wraps fills out most of the menu in addition to the usual chips, candy and soda found at most lunch spots. this sub place is super close to my work office, which is the reason I decided to give it a shot. Got in the car and drove there, it took me longer to find it than the drive there. I walked in and immediately a strong old building smell stung my nostrils, I was starving so I didn't turn back. I ordered the Arizona Delight(whole) on white bread. I sat for about a minute and I was called for my order. I was disappointed from the first bite. It was sooo bland. Then the second bite... this bite included the turkey, bacon, avocado tomato, lettuce and "cheese". You would think no one can fuck up a sandwich that has these ingredients... well, this was the worse sub ever! I tossed it out as soon as I realized I paid over $6.40 for kraft singles yellow singles "cheese" I will not be coming back here again and I would not recommend. read more

For the location and the size, this shop is busy and for good reason. The subs are very good and you have a say in what goes on them. I was full after a whole sub and I didn't feel bad for it which is an added benefit. The price for my sub, drink, and chips was just over $9.00. Not a lot of seating but this shop is more for "grabbing and going". Would eat here again and if you happen to be here for work or a conference give it a go. read more

This place is amazing. Some coworkers and I were boycotting our crappy cafeteria food and decided to go out. We did a quick yelp search and decided to come here. It is really tucked away, but we were pleasantly surprised when we found it. It was busy but not packed. We each ordered a different sub and they were all delicious.
