On my first visit to Dr. Barry, he proclaimed, "many have called me a genius..." The man has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I've ever met. He claimed to have cured my plantar fasciitis...said my pain MUST be coming from "somewhere else." Went to 5 other doctors and finally had to have surgery on my foot. My 14 year old son has been seeing Dr. Barry recently. He is a FOURTH generation patient on MY side and a THIRD generation patient on his dad's side. Both of our families have been seen by Dr. Barry since the early 1990's when he first opened his practice in Cartersville. Now, I live out of town but there is no other podiatrist anywhere around that is a good as him! Dr. Barry takes his time to get to know his patients as a "whole" & I have never been to any type of physician that truly cares more about his/her patient's overall well being. At his office, you are not just a number...you are a person...a friend! He is probably one of the smartest doctors that I've ever met although he doesn't flaunt his intelligence. He has also seen my step daughter for a sports related injury and I wouldn't take either of my children to anyone else!! If you are looking for a podiatrist that knows their stuff, is phenomenal with senior citizens (even those with dementia or other issues that some doctors would be impatient to) or with small children or teens, you REALLY need to visit Dr. Barry!! There is no one I love in this world more than my child!!! When it comes to his care, I would go anywhere or pay any price to make sure he had the very best doctor!!! There truly is no other podiatrist around other than him!! He is truly amazing all the way around!!! Dr. Barry was recommended to me by my PCP. She said that he is the very best. I had never had any foot problems until got a pedicure for a christmas present and my big toenail turned dark. Dr. Barry explained all the possible causes and treatments when we know the cause. He took a culture of the nail (Did not hurt) and it showed fungus. I took oral medication and my nails are perfect. I am glad my PCP sent me to Dr. Barry!!! read more
