I was supposed to see the dentist this morning. Mistake #1 I trust directions to Siri. # 2 I trusted Siri and didn't check. Siri took me to a dentist office that had the same name as the one I used in Norfolk. SMILE CENTER. I got there and the NIGHTMARE BEGAN!! I went inside to check in BUT !! It was not the dentist office where I had the appointment!! By now I was pretty upset. I was going to be late for my real appointment AND I had no idea where I was. Mistake # 3 I was upset and not feeling well so I asked to use the restroom. I was told "WE DON'T HAVE ONE" not for you just for OUR PATIENTS!! I'm sure these 2 women are nothing more than $9 an hour workers, just there to answer the phone and take your money, so they have no medical knowledge, but apparently they have no human decency either!! Maybe they thought they would have to clean up after me or maybe they thought I was going to die and they would rather I did it out of sight in the parking lot and not in the office where they might have to get up and help but for whatever reason their reaction was to tell me " GET OUT NOW OR IM CALLING THE POLICE ". I left went across the street to the Walgreens where I used the restroom got a drink of water and left. NOTHING TO CLEAN UP!! I'm relaying this to warn people who might be thinking of using this dentist office. This is the kind of people you will be dealing with. If you're OK with that great if not look somewhere else. It doesn't matter how good the dentist is because he doesn't meet you at the door, they do.

Great service! Quick appointment and very efficient. I was so pleased with level of care.read more

Fantastic in every way Looking for a Dentist - Search no…read moremore Dr. Nancy is your new Dentist Incredible facility Knowledgeable - friendly staff I'm one of those guys who has a totally irrational fear (more of an aversion) of all things "Dentist." At 50 I've been so blessed to have great dental health, not even one cavity, and all my own teeth remaining except my wisdom teeth. I've been to a Dentist a few times in my life, other than for the wisdom teeth removal, for routine cleanings. Anyway, after recently experiencing some "tenderness" in one of my lower back teeth, my wife set up my appointment at Caton Dental. It's very convenient for us, located right around the corner from our home. So, I went with some trepidation, expecting the worst. From the moment I walked in my fears began to fade. The office is pleasantly decorated and really has a way of putting one at ease. It's crisp, clean and friendly; well lit and very contemporary. Think friendly and professional office environment without all the paper stuff laying around. It was very inviting! Crystal, at reception, smiling all the while, handed me an iPad and told me the office was paperless and I could use this to fill out my forms and sign in. SWEET! Three minutes - done. Next thing I hear my name called on the intercom, "BIll, you can come upstairs now." I walk up the steps to a very welcoming "treatment area." I'm greeted by a pleasant young lady who takes me for panoramic x-ray, carefully and kindly explaining the whole process every step of the way. Then I'm shown to the "chair." I was greeted immediately by Dr. Nancy, who immediately relieves my reservations with her friendly and professional manner and presence. I was immediately confident! After a thorough exam, Dr. Nancy carefully and methodically explained the situation and took all the time I needed to lay out her conservative treatment approach to my problem. Throughout the process, she was showing me exactly "what was what" on a large screen right in front of my eyes, with a huge view of the panoramic x-ray of my mouth. I'm a "techie," so the technology really helped. There was never a moment when I was unsure. That is so reassuring, especially at the Dentist. After Dr. Nancy explained the very conservative treatment plan, it was off to cleaning. Again I was greeted with a smile from a very pleasant staff member, I think her name was Sandy, who proceeded to clean and polish my teeth. Throughout this process she was pleasant, informative and very engaging. She discussed good dental health practices and made some recommendations about a few things I might do to maximize good dental hygiene practices. All in all, I can't say enough GOOD about Caton Dental. From a real "denta-phob" it's a FIVE STAR experience! Check it out!

Everything was fine with this office until it became clear that money comes before patient care. My…read morefamily of five has been coming here consistently: never late, never missing an appointment. Despite that, this is the only medical provider I've ever seen where if you don't confirm an appointment, they cancel it without even notifying you (though they'll call and text repeatedly asking you to confirm). The first time this happened was December of last year. I explained that I already struggle with dental anxiety and take a sedative before visits, which makes last-minute cancellations especially difficult. Instead of understanding, Dr. F responded by saying many patients have state insurance and around the holidays "money is tight," so they cancel unconfirmed appointments to fill slots. Not only was this offensive, but it also felt like a baseless assumption about me and other patients. They promised to "flag" my account so it wouldn't happen again. Multiple family appointments with no issue after that. Fast forward to today: I left work early, showed up for my 1:00 appointment (after waiting outside 20 minutes while the office was closed for lunch), only to be told once again, "Oh no, you didn't confirm, so your appointment was cancelled." No call. No text. No respect for my time. I immediately cancelled all future appointments for myself and my family. I've never had a healthcare provider require confirmation to keep an appointment, especially when I already confirm at the time of booking and track everything in my calendars. Most offices simply charge a no-show fee if you miss--it's fair and professional. Here, however, patients who show up on time are punished because they didn't jump through an extra hoop. I had even referred extended family to this office, but after this experience, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The lack of professionalism, disregard for patients, and tone-deaf policies are absolutely unacceptable.

I went in on a Friday mor and the doctor told me if I came back around 4:30 which by the way is getting ready to go home time but he and his nurse agreed to stay and proceed for a 2 hour surgery which he removed all my teeth and he and his nurse were very comforting and walked me threw every bit of the procedure so my review is 100.

Dr. Hariris's office is in Glen Burnie in between my job in Baltimore and my house in Glenn Dale, so the location was really convenient for me. When I drove up to the office though, it looked so Glen Burnish that I almost turned around. But it is really nice inside so make sure you get pass the front door. Everything is high-tech, marble-clad, all around nice. One thing though, I asked for an "Annual Checkup" and told them I need cleaning as well. When the doctor was done (total time spent with me=10 mins), he's like, "everything looks fine, make sure you make an appointment with the hygienist for a cleaning." I'm like, "ummmm I thought I was getting a cleaning today," Apparently, since it's my first visit and they had no idea how long it would take to clean my teeth, they didn't schedule me in and didn't bother to tell me. I had to leave early from my job to get there and I REALLY didn't appreciate their not telling me of this little fact in advance. At the end though, the 6pm appointment cancelled and they were able to squeeze me in. The hygienist was super nice but gave me the "if you don't floss, your gum will become this and that..." lecture but she was nice (as well as she can be) about it. She was way too rough with her cleaning but whatever. I don't have to go back till June, 09. Yippee~~ Oh, another thing. They charged me $21 for Fluoride rinse which consisted of swishing 1oz of fluoride rinse in my mouth for a minute and their timing me. The insurance didn't pay for it and for that money, I'd rather get a prescription from them and get a WHOLE bottle of the rinse for $5 copay.
