One year he was voted One of the Best Doctors in Texas by Texas Monthly Magazine. Office staff doesn't appear to be competent. Twice I've had prescriptions "messed up" and made several trips to correct the Dr's errors. I've been given medications with incorrect instructions on how to take them. I'm sure Dr. Hughart is competent, but at the rate she pushes patients through, she is bound to make mistakes, and does. If she doesn't have time to give you a proper exam, then she should schedule so many appointments. You get the feeling that MCA is only concerned with the billables and not your health. I don't know who runs the clinic, but it must be a business minded person and not a health minded individual.

Finding a brilliant doctor with an old fashioned bed-side manner (he will take all the time you need with him, you never feel rushed with him or his nurse practitioner) is an anomaly anymore. I do have to wait a month to see because he is very busy but offered to put me on a wait list to get in sooner if someone cancels. I hope this helps anyone with Diabetes or other ailments.
