Had a terrible pinched nerve in my neck that needed immediate care and Dr. Bartell hooked me up. The clinic is very friendly and modern. Dr. Bartell is very knowledgable and was very thorough with his explanation of my condition. I am 58 years old and i know i've always had bad posture but seeing the bones around my neck and how some are fusing together really makes me realize i need to work on that! Now, there is a reason they are called a "Life Center". There is a big push to make this part of your life, to the point that you would be committing to about $500 a month for at least the first couple of months. They showed us a video of a child with a fever and criticized the mother for giving the child medicine to bring it down. Their belief is that your body is the healer and by making sure your spine is in proper alignment the fever is just killing the virus and will eventually subside. I am a believer of chiropractic care, but there is never only one answer. But, if you are ready to make the commitment this is a very good clinic to join. read more

I believe Chiropractic helps us, but I also believe that it's wayyy oversold! In the case of Bartell, they qualify for what I call the "Unprofessional Professional Award". It's not a flattering title. While they may be adequate at their craft, they are by no means what I call professional or even accommodating. The most professional among them is the lady Shari at the desk. Dr. Bartell saw me once, then his "daughter" took over. Personality like a wet sock. Let's call it what it is......they are "mechanics" who get more theater out of the noisy tables they set you on than they care about your outcome. All they care about is if you "keep coming back". I was referred to Dr. Bartell through the Veteran Affairs due to back injuries sustained through multiple combat tours. My very first visit I felt welcome and for the first time in years I had hope that he pain might just go away. Dr. Bartell first helped me realize my problem so we could come up with a solution to fix it. Dr. Bartell is more than just a doctor. When you walk into his clinic you are family and the whole staff will treat you as a family member. I hurt my knee during work and went in for a chiropractic session on a crutch. Dr. Bartell took it upon himself to take a look at it and give me advice and therapy on my injured knee. I have never met a more caring doctor. I honestly believe that if the world had more doctors like Dr. Bartell we would have a healthier and happier environment. This clinic cares and I recommend it whole heartedly. read more

I find that Bartell Chiropractic to be more of a family run racket than a true holistic practice with honest intentions. They recommend far too many manipulations and email solicitations claiming that their care can even help avoid cancer. When it comes to releasing records and x-ray films don't even go there. During my pregnancy, I was informed that I needed a scheduled C-section and requested Bartell Chiropractic to release x-ray films of my back (showing scoliosis) for review by an anesthesiologist at the hospital where I would be having my surgery. This request was to ensure proper needle insertion during my procedure. Although, I received jpegs of my x-rays, I was informed Dr. Bartell's team that he would not release my actual films and that he would be on-vacation therefore tabling my request. This position is in direct violation with a patient's rights. Further, I was also informed by their staff that I should reconsider having an epidural injection for delivery, something that doesn't fall under their expertise. The attitude of the staff was unprofessional, was not supportive of my choices and far extends over their actual medical knowledge and is negligent of their responsibilities to provide medical records. I doubt their diagnosis, treatment direction and would not return to them in the future. I far prefer Roth Chiropractic in Boca Raton. Hi--- I'm an MD--- but have been going to chiropractors for 20 yrs. I might not fully believe in the science but, having a straight spine can only be a good thing. Anyway, Dr Bartell uses a drop table technique in addition to manual, something I've rarely found with other chiropractors around here. I find it to be exceptionally effective. How does one describe a healing of their spine - Fantastic, Wonderful, Miraculous, well those are all descriptive of my experience. My brother-in-law fell at my home and I tried my best to lift him but could hear my back make odd sounds as if the bones were moving. No pain just an odd feeling, but over a few weeks I felt pain and it got worse day by day. Over a couple months it was so bad that I could no longer lift my legs to put on pants or socks. I needed help to put on clothes and tie shoes. I started grunting every time I stood up or sat down. A friend gave me Dr. Bartell's phone # and I reluctantly decided to visit his office because I knew that if I went to my Primary Care Doctor they would most likely want to do surgery. I did not believe in Chiropractors but the pain was awful. I went to his office and he took ex-rays and gave me an adjustment. I felt a bit better but not convinced it was because of his treatment. He scheduled me for a second visit and went and this time I was convinced, I felt like my back was getting better and I felt so happy that the pain was not as bad. When I got home I told my wife about the improvement and that I was feeling much better; and told her that I would take her with me on my next visit if she wanted to have him look at her neck that was causing her pain from an auto accident a couple years earlier. She could see my improvement and went with me on the next visit. It has been over a year and I am doing things I thought were no longer possible. I feel no pain in my back and am slowly adding more and more chores and normal activities. Not sure if that is miraculous, fantastic or wonderful but I like it. My wife has been going with me every visit and she would use those same words to describe the improvements in her sore neck. She also suffered from severe headaches from that accident that sometimes lasted for days. No more, they too are gone. Miraculous, yep. Not only is her sore neck healed and her headaches gone but she no longer spends two to four days sleeping in the recliner due to menstrual discomfort each month. Fantastic? Yep, it sure is. I suppose I could also mention that she was on medication for allergies and that too is a thing of the past. Dr. Bartell, we are both happy to know you as a Doctor and as a person. Please know that you have changed our lives. You and your staff are all really doing a wonderful job at providing a very special service.
