Having received excellent Chiropractor care over the past 40 years, finding the "correct" Chiropractor services is always a top priority of mine. Imagine my delight in being truly blessed to have found the outstanding services of the "Schelin Family Chiropractic" on Lyons Road in Coconut Creek, FL. From the first call to make enquires I was met with the charming voice of the Office Manage who immediately put me at ease and welcomed me to the area and set me up with a fast appointment. The moment I walked through the door I was treated as a family member. The atmosphere was dynamic, the lovely voice that had put me at ease belonged to Mrs. Schelin. Doctor Schelin did an extensive exam and asked all the right questions. Over the past few months, I have received amazing care, and met other wonderful clients. The best description I can give for this remarkable office is that it feels like your corner "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. When I walked in, the pain in my lower back was extreme. With adjustments and exercise I am now able to use my exercise equipment once again. There are also amazing free classes that are offered to all clients at no charge every week for one's health and well-being. As long as I live in this area this will always be my "to go place" for not only all my chiropractor services, but for my "new family" of health and well-being. They also said I needed NEW x-rays only after 3 weeks of going there. I have switched to another chiropractor who's actually a lot more knowledgeable on my condition. They should have told me that they could not totally help me, but they just kept saying that I'll maybe find some other healing other than my actual issue, and that was my homework. Every visit I have had has been completely professional and always followed the Covid rules for safety in this sensitive time. Not only do they work together as a team to make sure that you get the care that you need specifically for your body, but they also make you feel comfortable financially with the treatment that you receive. It is nice to see that a chiropractor cares more about your health and the way that you feel as opposed to what you can pay. At this time where many people are unemployed and their incomes are reduced, Dr. Scott is more than accommodating to help work with you and figure out a plan that is best for you and your financial situation. I wanted treatment on both my foot and my lower back, so I paid an additional $49 for the second body part, bringing my total to about $100. I did feel some relief from the treatment. During my first visit, the doctor explained that if I wanted to continue with chiropractic adjustments outside of a treatment plan, the cost would be $250 per session. I explained that I could not commit to a treatment plan without first discussing it with my husband. I was told I should return in about a week for continued treatment, so I scheduled my follow-up appointment. When I came back for my second visit, the doctor presented me with a treatment plan that included a package of $2,500 for eight sessions. I explained that I needed time to consider that option. What was disappointing was that, right before my second shockwave therapy session was about to begin, I was informed that the price had now doubled because the first visit was only an introductory special. This was not communicated when I scheduled the appointment or when I arrived. I was under the impression that the pricing I paid during my first visit would be the cost going forward, especially since I was receiving treatment on two body areas. No new X-rays were being performed, and the treatment itself had not changed, so I was surprised by such a significant price increase with no prior notice. While I did experience some relief from the treatment, I felt the pricing was not transparent and that the ongoing costs were not realistic for the average self-pay patient. Paying $200 for shockwave therapy and $250 for adjustments would make continued care financially unrealistic for many people. Patients deserve clear pricing upfront so they can make informed decisions about their healthcare. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office.

His knowledge and professional skill-sets go far above your typical Chiropractor. Most people think of "snap crackle pop" adjustments when they hear the term Chiropractor. You will not find that at Dr. Brett's office! He treats the root, not just the fruit. I was stunned on my first visit that Dr. Brett spent an hour doing an evaluation AND a treatment! He is an amazing educator and explained where my problem areas stemmed from. His work and treatment is unlike anything I've ever seen or experienced in a Chiropractic office. I am an extremely happy patient and athlete since going to see Dr. Brett. I have also seen Dr. Brett for an athletic injury most Chiropractors wouldn't touch; a torn calf muscle. With just a few treatments, we are already seeing major improvements. However, I couldn't do it consistently because of the pain. I was referred to Dr. Adam Colavito, DC's office, b/c my regular chiropractor was out of town, and in my experience, many other chiropractors lack the touch. Since meeting Dr. Colavito and his team (Dr. Veszelovsky, Tamy, Mike, Jessica, and Taylor), my regimen has consisted of regular adjustments w/ massages, and I'm able to run and attend my yoga sessions regularly again. The office has a family feel b/c the team makes every effort to learn your name and preferences to ensure that your experience is professional, friendly, and that you're in and out without delay. I was in so much pain from a work-related injury that I couldn't move my head or even sit up on my own. I had to prop my entire torso and head up on our couch just so I could stop some of the pain. (It hurt so much I was afraid to move because I thought I could become paralyzed. I'd had some neck and back issues before, but NOTHING like this.) Thank goodness I heard of Dr. Benjamin right when I needed a chiropractor. They were able to get me in the next day. At my first visit with Dr. Benjamin, I couldn't even hold the clipboard to fill out the standard paperwork, but he took me in and helped me anyway. I felt a reduction in pain during the first visit, and I was able to move my head a little afterward. He took such good care of me for the first few visits before I was able to go and get X-rays taken, and I feel that speaks volumes about his abilities as a chiropractor. He was able to go in "blind" and figure out what I needed for my muscles and my spine, and I most definitely felt and saw improvement at every visit - and I still do. I have even sent my husband and son to Dr. Benjamin, and we will continue to see him regularly. I am not out of the woods yet since my entire spine was out of alignment (my neck was so bad I had a reverse curve at the base of it), but I would never go to another chiropractor or let my family go to anyone else. Dr. Benjamin is the BEST.
