Marsha, the elderly store manager at both Dahling It's You and Isn't She Lovely, spent a lot of energy trying to get my friend and I to buy expensive jackets on Thursday, even taking photos of us. (BTW, my friend's nature is so polite that I've seen her refuse to complain when there was a long hair in her food at a restaurant.) When we returned Friday with the dress (that had ripped when she sat down in the car), Marsha was immediately so hostile --as soon as she saw us walking in with a bag--I was stunned. "You don't possibly expect me to take back a dress you've worn--I'm KNOW you don't--when you know you can mend this yourself!" When I suggested the store IS responsible for selling a subpar item, she said this had NEVER happened in all the years they've been selling those dresses. She condescendingly suggested my friend might be lying...maybe it got caught in the door, etc. She pushed the item back across the counter and refused to offer even a discount for my friend's trouble. "There's nothing we can do for you." She had us over a barrel. We'd walked in with smiles, hardly said anything during Marsha's attack and treated her with respect, and walked out in shock. Everyone has bad customer service stories but this woman's attitude was over the top disrespectful, insulting and rude. Time for her to retire!

The cashier (taller guy, long hair--receipt says Corey/Cotey?) was very unfriendly in his tone throughout the checkout process and at the very end proceeds to ask, "what's in that?" Accusing me of stealing items, and justified his Q by saying, "it happens." It was a lunch box with snacks for my son as we shopped. I wouldn't have given much thought to either of these interactions on their own, but because the whole experience was negative, I feel the need to share it. It was also strange when I went last Friday at 10 am and the doors were closed. Phone went straight to static. A lot of people walked up to locked doors and were confused as to why there wasn't a sign stating they were closed. A woman told me that she had a lot of valuables to donate and will be going elsewhere. Sad! I hope someone will see these reviews and actually make changes, rather than just respond to the review itself. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back to shop or donate anytime soon. I will continue going to St. Vincent de Paul, where I've had nothing but a great experience and interacted with only kind employees/volunteers.

For one, the store is a mess now: can't find any thing of use without wandering around forever--and getting any help? Forget it!
