Looked online for time open and stated till 4 pm..loaded up a full pickup full of items about 30 boxes and and got there at 340 pm sign on gate drop-off till 330. This place looks rather dumpy and disorganized but staff is helpful. Good price on new mattresses. Lots of nice wall art, some of it looking like it maybe came from hotels being remodeled? Much of the furniture is damaged and lots of it seems over priced, but I saw staff willing to negotiate. read more

I have always has a Positive Experience at the Prescott Habitat for Humanity Restore... I go there a few times per week both to buy and also to donate and always find a variety of items to use or to repurpose in my woodworking and welding hobbies.... Personnel are always friendly and helpful and I have only experienced one unprofessional employee in my 13 years of going there and that was many years ago... Management does a great job of keeping employees as positive images and customers happy... Prices are fair but may be adjusted later on condition or other factors not seen when originally priced just by one asking... Pricing of used items is not an exact science and is subjective of course. Many items are donated and placed on the floor daily so sometimes an item may seem too high and at other times might be priced as a real bargain .... Inventory changes almost hourly so what to went for might not be there but then again you might find a keepsake that just showed up.. I highly recommend shopping at Habitat for Humanity. read more

I sold my house quickly and had furniture in my garage that needed a new home, so I called Habitat ReStore. I talked to Michelle, who is very helpful, very nice and knowledgeable. She suggested I send a picture to them of what I had, which I did. I was thrilled when they were able to take everything I had AND pick it up at no cost to me. She told me the guys would be there between 830 and 1030 on pickup day and they arrived around 830. I cant say enough good things about this experience. Everyone, from Michelle to the 2 great guys that picked up my furniture, was just delightful. Losing my excitement to shop here. Been coming for years. Spent lots and lots of money. Used to get great deals and made lots of cool projects. Now the manager prices used products at just below new prices. Why would I want to spend almost the same price for used when I can get it new. I'm now seeing less customers and products siting on the floor not selling. The manager treats me like Ihe's doing me a favor. No more haggling. Shopping there used to be a highlight for me. I have gone in multiple times and everytime I'm disappointed. The prices are erratic. Today I looked at a small wooden end table priced at 125.00. I looked under the table and at each side trying to figure out why such a basic table was priced so high. This kind of pricing is throughout. Habitat restore closes at 3pm now closed on Saturdays. I shop for my business trying to keep prices low to get more jobs from those who can't afford premium prices . Bad decision on their behalf I cannot afford to not show up on a job loosing money for me to save them a couple bucks. read more

Up until today I have loved going and donating to the ReStore. There are so many unique finds to be had and the mission is great to support. Typically I donate all my used construction materials to the ReStore and shop there for treasures too. Unfortunately while making a donation today one of the staff that was working there treated me poorly and made me feel very unwelcome there. I have informed the management of the experience but it has tainted my support of the agency. Since this was the first time I have ever had a negative experience there, I plan to return again because I believe in the Vision and Mission of Habitat For Humanity and the work they do in the world. read more

I shop for our business on Saturdays but Habitat started closing on Saturdays! No logic in this! Most working people shop, at least on Saturdays. Very inconvenient. Please bring back Saturday hours. I am a volunteer here and I have volunteered for Habitat in other states also. The prices at this Restore are very reasonable, so I'm always surprised when people negotiate prices here. It's such a good 'cause to begin with and again, the prices are extremely fair. Different "Volunteers" do a lot of the cleaning, organizing & pricing, so yes, you may see variance, so please negotiate if needed. I'm always surprised when people drop off donations and some are items that don't work or furniture that is torn or dirty. If you would never want it or more importantly "buy" it, why would someone else? The donations we have to throw away is overwhelming. Another volunteer had to reject a non working washing machine and the owner was so angry about it. Unreal. BTW- your dump prices at the landfill here in Prescott are very fair also! read more

Way over priced. They must think they are now selling new products. There was a wall clock for 65 dollars (American not play Monopoly money) it was all chipped up and the paper with the numbers on it was lifting and rumpled. This place used to be awesome but I would not go back. Go to a thrift store or Craigslist if you're looking for reasonable priced second hand items or just buy new. They seriously need to have a reality check or training class on how to use the pricing gun. read more

This is an excellent place to donate to as well to shop at. I remodeled my studio apartment with windows, doors, carpets, floor tile, sinks, toilets, light and ceiling fan fixtures. None of this would have been possible if not for the more than reasonable prices offered at this store. Thanks to the wonderful staff that has always been willing and happy to assist me. I have a rental home here in Prescott and I am a major fan of Habitat. In a few cases I pay a little more for furniture, but it goes to a good cause and I have gotten so many other great deals that they more than make up for it! How about a $125. They have a lot of great deals and you can bundle everything. The big guy at register did seem a little bothered and didn't want to help the customers in any way. I wanted to test to see if something worked, I needed to plug it into electricity and he just pointed, there was no extension cord to outlet, the short cord couldn't reach, too heavy to lift. So I just didn't buy that big ticket item. I hope to go back!!!! (on his day off) read more

After doing many months of volunteer work, during which I was involved in pricing furniture daily, I returned to the Habitat ReStore seeking a chair. I quickly found the chair I wanted and took it to the desk to purchase the chair for the $10.00 I identified as the fair price. The clerk left to get someone other than the store manager, who told me the price of the chair was not $10.00, but $60.00. She then added she would accept $25.00. I was astounded and replied that I had volunteered at the store for months, had priced furniture daily for months, and that the store manager, who I identified by name, would attest to my long and highly regarded relationship with the store. I added that $60.00 was ridiculous for the chair and this was evidenced by her immediately dropping the price to $25.00. I responded that the chair was not worth more than $10.00. The store rep turned and walked away. I left the Habitat ReStore and found a comparable chair (in fact, better quality) at the Goodwill Store for $7.88. I could have purchased as many as five of the same chair at Goodwill for less than the price of one comparable chair at the Habitat ReStore. While I am reluctant to post a negative review for the Habitat ReStore, my experience was so objectionable as to warrant this posting. The Habitat ReStore has lost my business and my donations. read more

I completely disagree with the review this place is overpriced. I've gotten many, many incredible deals here. They get so much new stuff all the time, I could go in once a week and still find great buys. I've gotten good furniture, lots of housewares, art supplies, tools, garden supplies. And, yes, they do negotiate prices if you are buying a high-ticket item. I think the staff is very helpful. read more

I attempted to donate a custom built, somewhat expensive ($2,000) entertainment center that was not used in a recent remodel. Asked if they would take it. Yes, but they won't pick it up. I had pointed out that the three pieces were heavy, and that seemed to be the problem. Manager stated that they don't pick up heavy items and because they sell at such low prices, they could not afford to send a truck 5 miles to do a pick up. But they would help me unload it if I bring it to them. What good is that? I needed help loading the thing, not help in donating it. What good is a pick up service if you can't get something picked up? Does ReStore assume everyone has a pick up truck and the time to drive loads around at their convenience? I can not lift any one of the three pieces into a truck without help, and I got NONE from ReStore. read more
