They actually sent me the wrong item, but they wasted no time in making sure that I walked away with the correct item. The owner isn't the friendliest guy in the world, the place is an absolute disaster. Definitely against fire code of some sort. Owner doesn't have prices on anything and just pulls prices that are usually ridiculously inflated out of his butt. I wanted to like it but the overall vibe just isn't there. read more

I have been in a few times and chatted with them at local toy shows. Cool store, lots of variety and a great way to spend some time.

This place is excellent. Owner has a huge selection of collectibles from all years. Basically anything you can imagine needing he probably has or at least has access to. He's also a very friendly guy and he is fairly priced. It was a bit hard to find though. It's not easily visible from the street because it's actually located directly behind Apogee Wine Bar. I happened on this shop a week ago when I was planning to go to the poster shop next door... only to find out that they were closed for another 30 min. With some time to kill, I noticed something that caught my eye in the shop and headed in. It was like walking into what I want my basement to look like -- action figures, comic books, DVDs, records, posters, shirts, and toys galore. and i mean Galore. I spent at least almost an hour going through the records -- just to see what he had -- and digging behind boxes in search for an Elfquest book that I'd been searching for (he had it... yey!). Most of the things that I saw weren't marked with prices (except the records) but the owner was really friendly and gave me some fair prices. I walked out with a bobblehead and a book. He accepted credit cards and sent me a receipt via text (e-mail was also an option). I love shops like this where the folks working there seem to be doing it because it's what they love and not just a paycheck. At least that's the impression that I got. :) I had so much fun just exploring what was in his shop and vowed to go back with boyfriend and friends in tow... which I did yesterday and will do again. read more

I am struggling to figure out why everyone loves this shop so much. They have LOTS of great stuff, true, but good luck finding anything specific, there is no organization at all. This would be fine if things were priced accordingly, accurately (or priced at all) . I don't enjoy spending lots of time trying to find something I may be interested in only to be quoted a ridiculously high price when I go to pay. The owner makes up prices at the point of sale and I don't have time to dig and pay top dollar. If you have flea market organization then charge flea market prices. read more

This place hit me right in the childhood. Tons of great comic book toys and paraphernalia, G1 Transformers, GI Joes and Star Wars toys, even M.A.S.K.! Beyond that *I* didn't look very far, but, from the corner of my eye I could see that there was vinyl and vintage leather as well. Toy and comic fans would do well to check this place out. The owner (?) was quite pleasant and was cute to watch as he patiently and intelligently dealt with the incessant questions of a patron's child. Will definitely go back. read more

Love this place! Scavenger and nostalgia hunters wet dream. Things are far more organized and easy to find now that they have a location on park Ave. but you can still roll your sleeves up and dig around for comics, action figures and riffle through a great record section. The owner is a very nice and approachable and willing to haggle prices. Seriously an all around great store to feed your inner kid. read more
