BarDew Valley - Perry in the kitchen

But this year, my significant other decided at the last minute to join me. While separately searching, we both found this gem, BarDew Valley Inn! And what a find it was! The owner, Perry, was exceptionally accommodating to us and the other guests. Our room, New Orleans, was absolutely stunning! The daily 9 am breakfasts were prepared with care and incredibly scrumptious. The house was beautiful and nightly movie nights in the Theater always the best way to top off the day. Thank you Perry for an extraordinary experience.

There are several themed suites. I stayed in the New York suite, which was a cleaner, more modern feel with several NYC motifs. There is also a New Orleans suite, a cowboy suite, and a French suite. He is currently working on an Asian themed suite. Each suite has its own bath and private entrance, as well as patio space to enjoy the evenings. There is wooded space and a pond out front with sitting areas. Very quiet and on a dead end, so no traffic. The rooms have comfy beds, wonderful, luxurious bedding, and a mattress warmer, which I loved! Each room has a refrigerator and Perry supplies bottled water, a keurig, coffee pods, glasses/cups, an ice bucket, extra blankets. A booklet with info on local restaurants and attractions. Everything you'd need! While I stayed here for work and kept to myself, Perry checked in with me often to make sure I didn't need anything. Other guests used the common areas more, like the movie room/game room and the kitchen. One night Perry built a fire in the fire pit. It would be a great place for people who want to socialize and meet new folks. Perry also makes breakfast every morning. I had to start work very early, so didn't partake, but other guests have raved about it. Perry really does open his home up to everyone and is very gregarious and gracious. It would be a great getaway for anyone wanting to explore the area. My suite was 139 a night, a great value.

A very personable young lady, with an interesting back ground as a result of her military service and professional employment. She has traveled the world. Experiences that influence the restaurant's menu. In addition to good old home-grown versions of Okie staples like a smash burger and meat loaf; there are a variety of international cuisine offerings. Just a few examples: Shawarma to Stitzel, and Spring rolls to Bao Buns. Some of her favorite ethnic foods from around the world. And for the Veg Heads there is something called a Grilled Cauliflower Steak. In the back of the restaurant is a large dining and event room, with outdoor seating. It is set up to handle a crowd. Check all of the pictures. There is Karaoke and live bands on the weekend. The music genre is as varied as the restaurant's menu. We kept our lunch simple today with an Oklahoma Smash Burger. A big beef patty with cheese, dressed with L,T,P&O. A side of crispy fries completed the basket. I noticed something different about the burger on the first bite. The tomato. The tomato had an unmistakable home-grown flavor. If you know, you know. I asked. Sure enough, grown in her husband's garden. An excellent burger. Great food, great owner and from looking at the pictures a fun place to spend the evening.
