Both my kiddos are very artistic and were absolutely thrilled to tour this studio/gallery space. The front desk attendant was very welcoming, and we all really enjoyed being surrounded with so much creativity. There was something to see at almost every turn, and even a few interactive pieces. It really was a treat to see my kids soak it all in and to be in their element for a change. It will be our go-to destination on all future jaunts to San Rafael.

The gallery offers a gallery with rotating art shows plus members get to display their artwork on dedicated wall space. This gallery is large and austere as you can see from the video. The day I visited the gallery there was a juried show. I had a nice conversation with a volunteer who also has a studio downstairs. Each month the members draw to select their wall space for the following month or quarter. Membership to the Society requires one to sit the gallery and pay regular dues. This location is the best kept secret in Marin. Every time I dove by I made a mental note to stop by. It took me 2 yrs a very sunny day and balloons and flags out front that I finally stopped by. I hope you visit this gallery and enjoy the many talented works from local artisans. I understand the Society takes part in the San Rafael Friday Night Art Walk as well.

From the first time we toured the space, Christopher and his staff were so helpful and friendly. Throughout the entire planning process Christopher was accessible to answer our questions and connect us with vendors, and this was truly helpful!! The day of the wedding Christopher and his staff were OUTSTANDING and the space was a perfect set up for the wedding. It was intimate, inviting, festive, and the art was beautiful. All of our guests have told us how much fun they had at our wedding and "what a cool/unique location we chose for our wedding". This is a perfect space for all kinds of parties, meetings, and other small gatherings. It is also a great place to come and check out local art.

All we had was a small shopping bag from the store next door and her small purse, and after looking around and not finding anything, the lady working was waving an empty hanger accusing us of stealing when she was watching us the whole time. After that we felt very uncomfortable and left the store. My girlfriend offered for her to look into our bags but she declined and continued to follow us out the store and stare us down until the crosswalk.

And globes are even MORE fun. So my imagination was awed and inspired by the works that Wendy has created and has on display in her space. I didn't have a lot of time to explore everything on offer there, but I did make sure to buy one of the "studies" that she did. And I'll definitely be back to look into having a pin-map made for one of my friends who often travels on business. 5/5 stars!

It's a little further away from where I live but it's still a convenient place to get in an out of quickly. I've known Frank (owner) so long that we interact like we're old friends. Gary, Nathan and Vincent are all great people to work with there as well, very professional and they will all do whatever it takes to complete your project perfectly. I've had some very expensive pieces framed here and have been very happy with each interaction. That's saying something after 20+ years of patronage and over 100 pieces framed. There's just no where else I would trust taking something important to be framed. I also wanted to mention their shipping services. They've got amazing capabilities to make custom boxes and will ship a frame anywhere in the world. We couldn't have picked a more beautiful venue than the Falkirk Cultural Center for our wedding…read moreday. The grounds were absolutely stunning and the flowers were in full bloom, and the combination of the lush outdoor ceremony space and the elegant indoor cocktail area made everything feel magical and perfectly balanced. One of our favorite touches was the grand piano, which a Paella Time (catering vendor) played during our first look, it was such a unique and emotional moment. The venue itself is a gorgeous, historic Victorian house with incredible charm. We took some of our favorite photos in front of the stained glass windows, which added so much character and warmth. My wife especially loved the bridal suite, where she shared sweet first-look moments and photos with her mom and bridesmaids. It felt intimate, relaxed, and timeless. As San Rafael locals, we were so impressed by how affordable the venue was for everything it offered. Working with Patty and the entire Falkirk team was effortless--they were kind, flexible, and truly accommodating every step of the way. We feel so lucky they had our date available. This venue will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
