Great spot to get watches repaired. I can't speak to more complex asks, as the 2 watches I brought in simply needed battery replacements. I came in just before they close for lunch at 12:30 pm and was asked to come back at 1 pm when they re-open. When I came back just after 1 pm, there were a few other customers, so I had to wait 10 minutes or so, but the actual process of my watches being fixed was very quick and was only $10 total. Service was also very friendly. I would definitely come back for any watch repair needs. They currently have a notice on their door that they are closed on Thanksgiving and Black Friday this year. read more

I really try not to give out a lot of five stars, so take that into consideration. I had three watch bands to be adjusted/replaced and the gentleman manning the store at the time was able to accommodate me with a quickness. Very friendly and for $40 (parts needed to be replaced) a bargain at twice the price. Not Barton & Chase's fault, but parking is a disaster around there. Find a loading zone, and you'll probably be in and out before your time runs out. read more

Fantastic service! I had a nice Movado watch, on which the second hand had come off, and it prevented the minute hand from rotating, so the watch wouldn't work. The owner only charged me $20 to repair the watch, which I thought was a steal. And I needed a new battery for another watch, and he only charged $5 to purchase and install it -- and at other places, I've paid $10 for a new battery. More recently, I needed some links removed from a metal watch band so it would fit better. Again, I paid less than I expected to, and he did it while I waited, so I didn't have to leave the watch and come back for it. For any watch repair needs you might have, I don't think you could do any better than this place! read more

"We don't cock around here." This sentence was repeated often and with great humor to men and women alike during my brief but entertaining visit to Barton & Chase. Before swinging by, I gave a quick call just to make sure the place was open, would replace watch batteries, and could do one-stop service. When all requirements were met ("happily" was the exact response) I headed on over. You would never even know what type of business this is from the street. Stepping in was like walking back in time a little bit. The owner told me they have been in the same space for 35 years and by the looks of all the boxes and old school filing cabinets, that much was evident. No watch was too tricky for this craftsman; I got the feeling he likes a challenge anyway. All four watches were quickly replaced with new batteries at the extremely reasonable price of $20. And they take credit cards. Never thought I'd have a go-to watch repair place but now I do. read more
