    Our spoiled baby!

We have been with them for many years ! This is our second pet with them or last pet was 15 years when she passed and we now have our little old lady who is 10 and have been with Barton height for 10 years Although it's a little pricey, we have always gotten excellent care with our pets. I cannot complain of the service the compassion the love they show for my girl she hates going in snd cry the whole time it's kind of funny they even try the hanky doesn't work !

She was seen by another vet prior to visiting Pocono Peak that did her vaccines and I sent the records through Pet Desk their so called "convenient" app to make appts. I was told it would be okay to send records through the email the app provided. Not only is it an email they don't use, but they blamed me for not having received the email with the records. Furthermore, I made an appt to get the Lyme/Lepto vaccine done for my puppy on the 6th of October for a nurse visit. Immediately after the visit I made an appointment for October 27th for the vaccine to get boostered. They gave a "final" DHPP INSTEAD of a Lyme/Lepto vaccine when I brought her in for the appointment. If she was coming in two weeks after to get it boostered it SHOULD HAVE been put in the notes in Infinity (their computer system) what vaccine she would be receiving October 27th so the mistake could have been avoided. When I called about the error they said they never received records (when they were 100% sent) and that I would not be receiving a refund due to it being my mistake not theirs. As a veterinary technician I have been in this field for quite sometime and I trusted this hospital with the care of my new puppy. It's not what you say, but how you say it and them blaming me for this was extremely unprofessional. I highly recommend taking your pet elsewhere such as Barton Heights Veterinary Hospital, Pocono Lake animal hospital or Animal Hospital of Mt. Pocono.

The service they provide is useless, the protection plan is a joke , my pet was happy for a day and then the symptoms returned the day after almost worst , had to take my dog to an actual hospital which cost me an additional $400 after I paid $600 for two weeks in a row with Banfield . now he's doing ok but with a few still underlying issues that they missed. Even with trying to leave feedback on the site and remotely is difficult. please if you care for your pet DO NOT GO HERE. If you want your pet gone or want them treated like a lab rat this is your place, and as far as the wellness program goes... make sure it is 100% canceled when you Cancel it cause they will keep billing you and hold you to a service charge and contact. trust me cause I'm going through it now, if you don't believe me try writing a review and you will see first hand the game they play as spell check doesn't work, Punctuation doesn't work and the twisting of words. this is a turn and burn kinda place just to see how much money they can scam. they just don't care .

The prices were great and she does things by the book. I left special treats, food, toys and bedding with them. They were able to stay together throughout their stay which was why I picked this location. When I picked up my dogs after vacation my older dog was super dramatic and screamed at me and the whole way home. I was very worried about his reaction at first but my other dog was completely fine. (Cannoli is also a drama queen so if something was wrong she would have been upset too) Both babies are rescues and were kenneled together while I was on vacation here. Rudy was rescued from a shelter and cannolis mom was a rescue from birth so she never saw the inside of a kennel. Rudy was already 6 years old when he joined our family and he lived in a shelter twice in his life before I adopt him (abandoned by two families...) When I dropped him off he was fine and went right to the back wagging his tail I also called before and after the cruise left Miami to check on them and they told me he was barking a lot after the first night and very mopey. He was not eating and a young girl spent some time with him and he started eating again. I should have considered his history beforehand and they did a great job keeping him calm it's honestly my fault he did not adjust as well but they accommodated which gave me a piece of mind to know they were being well taken care of. Cannoli was so happy to see me she immediately got the zoomies so we went for a walk. Rudy was very upset and let me have it. He was barking like he was yelling at me. Both of them were groomed, they looked and smelled great. Rudy on the other hand must have thought he was abandoned again at a kennel and did not adjust very well. (His bed needed to be thrown away because he destroyed it out of frustration) The way he barked on the way home I could feel his pain ughhhh Once he was home he gave me some side stink eye but after some cuddles he warmed up and all was good. (He was traumatized by being an old rescue already and I should have seen it coming) I never kenneled him again after that but thanks to her policy he was able to be with his best friend while staying there which helped tremendously! I Will be using them again this year for cannoli and my kitten for 10 days this December. I will be posting an updated review with kittens experience ‍ I highly recommend this place if you need someone to watch your pets. This place has the best prices in the area, your babies will be safe, loved, cared for, and most importantly they will be together! RIP Rudy my angel got his wings at 15 years old. The day I came back, I was excited to see my babies. My husband received a call from Linda Carrier who said, "I lost your cat, Soleil! Can you come find her? She got out of the building and is on the roof". My heart dropped. I dropped everything I was doing and rushed there with my husband. Our cat was GONE. Linda was not even in the facility 5 minutes before we got there. She was at staples, she said. No employees were looking. We were 45 minutes away. When we finally came face to face with Linda, I asked, What is your policy? What do we do? Who can we call to help? Where is your team? She said she has nothing in place for this situation because she never had to deal with it. She simply said, 'I can't even walk! You should just be patient and come back in about 6 days and call for her...' There are no cameras in the facility according to her. She said she never had a cat that was so smart.... Well, if you leave a door to the outside open and are trying to transfer a terrified cat from a cage to a carrier, I would bolt too! I asked her to get a professional to help. She said NO. I asked if I could look inside the facility in case she was hiding somewhere. She said NO. This woman was Cold and couldn't care less. At first, she seemed emotionally affected but that quickly turned into anger and non action. I posted on social media asking for help. I made fliers. I went door to door and begged neighbors to help. The best news is after 2 weeks, I got her back! That is a blessing. This woman Linda, never apologized, never took accountability for her negligence or our suffering. We suffered every second Soleil was gone. Soleil suffered out in the wilderness for 2 weeks. She also had to suffer an emergency vet visit which we paid for. Our hearts hurt because when you board your family member, you expect to get them back. And, if something terrible happens, you would expect some help or accountability. I am writing this because I would never want another human or animal to suffer the same fate or worse. So, if you must board your loved one, at least you can be empowered with this information. I will NEVER make this mistake again.

He would pick and choose when he wanted to listen and when he wanted to do his own thing, and he was so terrified/defensive of other dogs, we worried whenever we took him out where other dogs would be. Now, Chewbacca is a top-notch gentleman. Starr not only taught us and Chewy lots of new commands, more importantly she taught us how to handle him and how to take the lead. Chewy has not only completely transformed in listening to us, but he is also now substantially more comfortable around dogs he doesn't know - something we never believed would happen. I had no idea just how much better they could be. Starr has brought us a much more relaxed home and for that I am eternally grateful. A couple ways our life has changed: Everytime I had my windows or doors open my boys would bark at the slightest noise whether it be a car, person, or their shadow. I am now able to sleep with my windows open for the first time in 6 years. My neighbors can be outside and I can have my doors open and my boys no longer bark incessantly. I can now sit on my porch with my boys and enjoy my neighborhood and evenings without my boys going crazy and trying to run all over. My boy Cache used to act like a mongrel walking on a leash. We were unable to take him anywhere. He's literally torn pads on his feet trying to get into the vets office from pulling so hard. Since the training, I am able to walk Cache into the vet, get a weight on him by myself, and Cache will actually lay down and wait to be seen. We used to have to wait in the car and carry him in. We recently brought the boys out for icecream and multiple people have commented on just how well behaved they are. A couple months ago we would have never heard that! In January my boys had a difference of opinion about the ownership of a bone and my boy Damian had bit my Cache. Cache understandably had some trust issues. I felt as though I was walking on eggshells thinking they were going to have continual issues. Starr's training has brought my boys back together and have strengthened their bond with not only me and my husband but also with each other. They are starting to play and cuddle with each other again. "Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do."- Edward Everett Hale Starr's training works! My whole house is much calmer and I have a renewed confidence in my boys and also myself. I feel much more in control. Training was hard work and dedication but my boys are worth it! Thanks to Starr's training my heart is full of happiness with all of the success we have achieved and no words can truly express just how grateful I am...
