Went here for college back in 2007 and recently placed an order to get my transcript. I purchased the transcript already at the Bursar's office and selected to pick it up in the school. I went to the Registrar's Office to pick it up and I had to wait a while for the staff to give it to me. The staff checked the pile of transcript pick ups and didn't see my name and tried to look for it in the back of the office but did not see it after waiting for 20 minutes. Then the staff had me filled out the form to request for an official transcript again because my order did not go through or something. Couldn't really hear him that well and I couldn't leave without getting the official paper transcript so luckily he had me fill out the form again. He then told me to wait in a chair to wait for the transcript. I had to wait in total of 35 minutes for the transcript so it was a long wait. Wish they were a lot quicker read more

As a recent graduate, I want to say my time at Baruch has been generally positive. I agree with the other reviewers that the admin is a joke. I had an issue where my class got dropped because of non-payment even though I had a payment plan in place a month before tuition was due. I got the runaround from bursars and registrars for a good 2 years because each place kept telling me it wasn't their department responsible for what happened. I had to keep telling bursar to please look up my file and print me a sheet that proved I paid on time so I can present it to registrar so they can put me back in my classes manually. After 3 hours (I had to wait for the bursars depart head to come back from lunch) the head of bursars took 3 min to print out my sheet and I got my classes back. Front desk people are generally lost and will try to point you elsewhere to avoid doing actual work. The classes were generally great. I know some people said the math professors especially sucked, but I want to say I had April Allen-Materowski for one of my math classes and she is fantastic. She has told us in the beginning of the semester that she tries to teach the material so that even her young children can understand it (I understand obviously that no matter how well you teach, young children won't understand calc III) and because of her teaching style, I actually understood the material a lot more than my first attempt with a different professor. I also want to stress how great Professor Roy Johnson is. He teaches com 3150. I took him over the winter last year. He is an amazingly interactive professor. His lectures are interesting, keeps you wanting to know more. He also offers personal experience on certain matters discussed and he is always opened to our opinions. He believes to learn, it can't be just him spouting material, there has to be feedback given and differing opinions as well. I regret I found out about him as I was about to graduate. If anyone needs an elective, take him! read more

I got my master's of science degree at Baruch. I chose Baruch for two reasons: it was convenient for work, with night classes, and it was cheap. I have also taken continuing education classes at Baruch. I will agree with the negative reviews that the administration is bad. I've had my run-ins and run-arounds with them, including when they wrongly classified me as a foreign student and told me that, since they have no record of my Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), I had to take a remedial English class. However, the problem was easily remedied in one afternoon. That being said, however, I truly enjoyed my academic life. I had some great professors, and the coursework was challenging. The library is great (it was built shortly before I enrolled as a student). I also made some great friends through my classes. If you are interested in a liberal arts degree (not that there's anything wrong with it. I got a liberal arts degree as an undergrad), Baruch is probably not for you. Baruch is primarily a business school, and is very proud of its accounting department. The percentage of Baruch alumni passing the CPA exam at the first time is amongst the highest in the nation. The professor I had for finance actually made the subject interesting. My major was in Business Computer Information Systems, with my favorite class being on e-commerce. Baruch also has a fantastic alumni association, with wonderful services (including career counseling and job search) and networking events. My experience with Baruch's alumni outreach is a total 180 from my experiences with the school admin. Baruch College consistently gets ranked as one of the top "Best Bang for the Buck" colleges in the nation, a ranking I believe it truly deserves. read more

First off I don't even go to this school and I already know the administration sucks beyond a dyson vacuum. I tried calling the administrations office to confirm their operating hours especially for the holidays and had no one pickup the 5+ times I called. Upon arriving at the door it was 2:02 pm and they had recently closed for the day at 2pm the staff blatantly ignored my existence while knocking on the clear glass door. I just wanted to drop off a paper and she didn't even give me a chance to emit a word out of my mouth before shouting "we're closed". Long story short I came the next day on time and handed in the paper and the same staff that ignored me gave me an array of attitudes and told me that she didn't feel bad for the situation and kept talking like I'm a child. She also used profanity towards me during mid conversation along the lines of "I would've kicked your ass out". In the end she was unnecessarily nasty. There was no need for the hostility even when I came in during operating hours and wasn't rude to her at all, if anything I was just being respectful and nice since I walked into the office. read more

This school is great if you could not get into anything better. I am one of those that lacked the pedigree of well known company experience and prestigious undergrad, so I went here as it was the lowest cost option in the area. Got an MS in accounting and immediately got a fantastic job directly from on-campus recruiting. With this being said, the salaries that you would start off with here are half of what you would get with a master's from Columbia, for example. However, if you play your cards right, even this school can provide some good backdrop. The comments about the bathrooms and trash cans are correct. There is never soap in the library and even toilet paper is sometimes missing. This is what you get with union janitors. Administration is also terrible, which is common for public schools. What do you expect for a masters that costs $3,400 per semester? The admin is great at Pace, where you get the same education for double the cost. Is it worth another $3,400 per semester to have someone kindly return your phone calls? read more

Don't bother with this school if you're not going to be a business major, go to another CUNY where isn't such a heavy concentration on business majors. Everything is so concentrated towards the business school that liberal arts majors are bound to feel neglected. Baruch is a downright bargain compared to the private business schools in the area. It doesn't have the same name recognition as NYU or Columbia, so you'll have to work harder to land internships. With a bit of legwork, you'll eventually land a few internships and have a bit of experience under your belt. This will be far more important to employers than where you went to school. Factoids: - 4 years at this school costs less than 1 year at NYU. In state students pay around $7k/yr for tuition and out of state pays $13k - Students have access to the Subotnick Center/Wasserman Trading Floor. They regularly hold seminars on using Reuters 3000 Xtra or the Bloomberg trading terminals. - Overcrowding. This school has gone through a huge population explosion within the past few years and the infrastructure is clearly lagging behind. This equates to lots of spooning in the elevator. - A bit irrelevant, but this school has a stupid fast internet connection when the school is empty. I clocked one of the wired Dell machines at nearly 800mbps down speed on Ookla's Speedtest. When its crowded, it chugs down to a zippy 20mbps. - The vertical campus is a beautiful building, studying on the upper floors while looking over Manhattan is awesome. There are some great professors here, and then there are those who should not be teaching anyone. Advisement is terrible, especially that one black girl that works there. I don't even know what her problem is, she's rude to everyone! Advisers don't go above or beyond, they only answer what questions you have and don't bother telling you about any fine print. They don't help you solve your academic problems, they only tell you how unfix-able your issues are. If you love business and really love it, then great but for any other subject other than business this school doesn't give a flying fuck about you. Some may go, she got some beef with the school. One of the worst schools around. The admissions staff is very unhelpful in answering questions. Assistant Director of Admissions, Tracy Ford, basically said that people who get low GMAT score is due to laziness, and this is the only thing they look for in the graduate admissions.They do not care about your undergraduate GPA, work experience, essays, or recommendation letter. Also, it took only twenty minutes to get back to you on the result and they profiteer off the application fee of $120, the most expensive one in the city. I am sorry, this is a city college, not NYU or Ivy League, not all Asians are good at math =) Tracy, people only consider Baruch because it is cheap, not because of its quality of education...stop acting as if you are the admissions officer for Harvard. Email was sent to Chancellor and Deans Good Evening CUNY Deans I'm currently a part time Senior at Baruch College, working full time and slowly on my way to graduating in 2017. However, due to the requirement of a minor with my major, it is taking me a little longer - which was fine, until the classes in my minor have been cut, and closed (see below). Because of this, it will now take me longer to graduate. If I'm being forced to take a minor to graduate, the courses should be available for all to take as their schedules allow. Not all of us get financial aid and can go to class anytime of the day. I am working full time, paying tuition out of my pocket and expect some kind of acknowledgment to us older, responsible students who are supplementing their careers with a degree. I am disappointed and disgusted with Baruch's negligence and waste of taxpayer money. As this school gets more donations, raises tuition, then demands the state to pay for CITY colleges I notice the services, classes and facilities being worsened. Where is all this money going? Why can't we take classes so we can graduate on time? Since Baruch is incapable of providing courses for my minor, and there are no other minors that interest/help me, I should be excused of the burden of a minor requirement. Out of all the CUNY schools I've attended, this has been the "best" one. Like with every CUNY school: 1. administration is rude, incompetent, you have to fight to get things done 2. Ratemyprofessor is your best friend 3. Ratemyprofessor is your best friend x2 I went to this school for 2 years, majoring in Finance. I ultimately left because I wanted to do Computer Engineering, and a business school was not a right fit. I had an associate's degree in a technical field coming in, so I basically had to start from scratch :( . I'll be blunt, this school is hard. The workload is very high(every teacher wants a research paper, powerpoint presentation, and other time-intensive things) so it is imperative that you weed out bad teachers or get advice on what teacher to pick from someone you trust with your life, or your time here will suck. There's really no campus life or party scene here. It's more of a "come in, go to class, go home/to the library" type school. I don't see that as a negative, that's just the reality of this school, a stepping stone. Most of my teachers were good. I took classes in the evening, so alot of my professors were adjuncts moonlighting from Columbia, NYU, etc. or they were full-time faculty with actually gave a damn about their students. I had maybe 2-3 obviously bad teachers(poor english, constantly making up rules, crazy person, you know the type, etc.) Dropped those classes EARLY and so fast, not worth the headache. This school has very good resources (writing center, library opens late, recruiters come to the school alot for hiring). I never had doubts about the quality of education I was receiving. My peers were very serious about their work and goal-oriented/mature. I guess going to school at night attracts a working man's crowd, I can dig it. It has 3 primary schools: - The Zicklin School of Business - School of Public Affairs - Weissman Liberal Arts School Some highlights of this College include: - The VC (or Vertical Campus) was completed 10 years ago, and is a marvelous architectural building. It consolidated many of Baruch's other campus locations into one modern, convenient, and easy to utilize option for us students. It allows you to see great views and TONs of natural light whenever you're out of class and traversing the halls. - There are state-of-the-art facilities in the VC (including modern classrooms, and swimming pools/basketball courts, that are sometimes used by NBA Player), and in the nearby Library building: such as the real time modern stock trading floor, the BCTC, and W & A Newman Library. - Speaking of the Newman Library, it's always packed. Morning through night, midterms/finals or not. But, there's a reason for that. It's very sleek, and regal in it's design. The spiral stairs alone are an iconic presence here. But, you also get a great feeling within each time. The kind of feeling you get when you walk into the grand study room of a mansion. Beyond the great design aesthetics, the Newman Library also has a great collection of print, digital, and archival/microfilm options...in addition to a wide selection of general newspapers and business magazines. - Great all around student culture both on and off campus in the neighborhood around Baruch. All in all, there's so much more I'd like to add and say about this terrific College..but I would likely run out of space, lol. In short, Baruch is a terrific option for ANYONE in NYC who wants to get the most out of their higher learning options. For example, the Zicklin School of Business alone is recognized world wide by many mid-to-large-cap companies. P.S. No, I won't share any of the tips/tricks/nuances I learned while attending here. The amount of money you save on tuition is practically incomparable. Having said that, this "college" is so damn patronizing in every sense of the word; from the faculty to the staff, even the architecture itself. Faculty offices are given windows but students have to feel like they're in prison? I'm sure a lot of students can agree with me that they have at times, felt like they weren't being taken seriously, and were being treated like they were in high school. Strict policies on attendance/lateness and weekly homework assignments, assigned seating, etc. -- I can excuse maybe one or two of these things, but I've even taken a real estate course where we were required to discount cash flows manually because we weren't allowed to use a financial (no, not graphing) calculator (for the ENTIRE course). CUNY used to be free, but now charge tuition for a likely worse experience. The atmosphere feels like a late-Soviet State, or Rikers. For example the vertical campus is less than 20 years old but is already covered in rust and full of broken appliances. Security staff seem to actually put effort into being unhelpful. It's almost November as I write this and the outgoing voicemail for academic advisement says they will be closed until late August (meaning nobody has bothered to change the voice mail for over two months). The student wifi network works sometimes. The main classroom building is under multi year renovation with half the elevators out of service which results in long lines of students being yelled at by security guards. Yeah it rules working 9-5 and then rushing to a building where I pay money to get shouted at. This is a very crowded campus and about 40% of the students walk-and-text for some reason, so they are constantly walking into walls/doors/bollards/you. If that bothers you, you won't be happy here. If you read through the history of Baruch College, you will find that the school initially was funded to allow students, who could not afford enrolling in NYC's prestigious private schools like Columbia and NYU, to be able to pursue their dreams of becoming top business professionals. For the past 97 years, the school has been horning its original educational mission and helping countless students achieving their career success. Zicklyn School of Business ranks #55 nationally and #1 public business school in New York (Wikipedia). Unfortunately, due to lower application rate, thanks to the lowest unemployment rate, recently, the school downgraded its MBA program from 57 credit requirement (allows students to pick 1-2 majors) to 45-credits. The new 45-credit "package" not only tarnishes the fame of Zicklyn's MBA Program, it also depreciates the value of many former 57-credit MBA graduates's diploma. My prediction for the next few years, is that this school would probably replace traditional in-class lectures with more online sessions. That would be a real shame. Pros: City campus, many nearby good restaurants and fun places to hangout during class breaks or after. Perfect locations for PT MBA to come for class after work. Some tenured professors tend to not following the stupid bell-curve rule, instead honoring hard working students the grades they deserve. People from the MBA administration are perhaps the nicest and most responsive. Cons: Bathrooms in the older building are absolutely worse than those from Central Park. The gym is so outdated and small. You will have to fight for a treadmill. School mandates each student to pay $100 printing fee, regardless the student needs it or not. It's a robbery. People sitting in the office of registrar are mean and lack of any kind of motivation for helping students. They NEVER pick up the phone so don't bother calling. Expect a super long wait in the Bursar office, even there were only few students on the line. They don't pick up the phone, neither. Lately, the curriculums for summer sessions are garbages--nothing useful to select. Security guards by the entrances are rude and think they are Heimdall from Thor, LOL read more

I'll be graduating this year and I have to admit, I have had a love/hate relationship with that school. Some of the professors don't care, some administrative offices are crap, and the security guards can be complete jerks. On the other hand, there are abundant amount of resources, an active student life, lots of bake sales, free food during club hours, and if you're not too busy complaining about how much it sucks and participated in activities, your life wouldn't suck so much. Baruch is a complete commuter school so beware if you're the type of person that wants the green grass college campus because you will definitely not find it here! However, if you're savier than the average then you might find yourself in a pretty awesome position with a job lined up after graduation, am awesome crowd of friends, and nights you don't remember because there is a strip of bars on 3rd ave. read more

I love this place. I transferred in from Pace University and boy, what a difference. The library is equipped with Mac computers, Mac rentals, camera and tripod rental, and almost all text books assigned in classes. Although this is a commuter school, Student life is very active and works to get all students involved. Only recommendation is to fix the damn elevators! Baruch College may not be an ivy league school, but I think it is definitely an "ivy league" among the CUNY schools. Most of the professors actually want to teach you and are willing to stay after class, hold tutoring sessions, etc just to make sure that their students understand the material. The library is huge and allow students to check out laptops for FREE. Where else does that happen? Dells and Macbooks are the choices you have here. The only downside might be the lack of a "college feel". Baruch doesn't seem to have many events that draw the student body together. Once a year there will be a street fair, but that is about the only event there is that most of the school participates in. read more

Baruch College is a great school. It allows you to graduate loans free as it is really cheap, the quality of the classes is great. In addition, it is a fantastic bridge school to get into prestigious graduate schools. Most of the students there end up applying for a more prestigious grad' school and if they were good students they generally get in. Result: loan free undergrad', great chance to get into a good graduate program. Thus most of the students end up working at the same places as NYU or Columbia graduate. read more

Baruch overall is a good school if you want to get a cheap undergraduate degree in NYC. Considering the current job market it's not worth going into deep debt to get an undergrad degree (save that for grad school). It's hard to make friends here, but that's New York for you. The administration has not been as bad as everyone else has said for me. For the price and for the ease of the courses, you can't go wrong. Do your best here and get a high GPA than go on to Grad School somewhere more credible. I majored in psych and I have enjoyed most of my psych classes. While it seems impossible to make a lasting connection with a professor here. (I did try as much as a reasonable person could be) I liked almost all of my professors. Some of them taught me things that will stay with me for life. Others didn't teach me much but their classes were easy enough and I got good grades in them so I can't complain. One thing I want to note is that this antisemit thing with President Michael Wallerstein still goes on today and includes blatant civil rights violations such as the forced removal of the chabad rabbi during chanukkah of 2015. Ultimately the liberal pc culture, the discrimination against the rabbi, and the bs common core requirements led me to drop out with a 3.6 gpa with 2 years worth of credits. I just could not take the mind numbing nature of some of my classes. While I adored my foreign language teacher as a person I didn't learn anything after the two required semesters of language. What is the point of being forced to learn things you don't want to learn? After dropping out I began to read more books and pursue my own self education. I have yet to regret the decision and I am not convinced that getting a degree from this school would help me achieve my goals. President Michael Wallerstein should be fired and the common core curriculum should be removed as a requirement. If common core is removed I would go back and finish my degree. I like to learn but I don't like to be forced to learn things I don't want to learn. Also Don't like being taught in a subjective way. read more

I really love this school. I transfered here from Hunter and I must say this school is a big change. But like others have said it's seems to be primarily business. If you join organizations and put in effort you will have an amazing time. Don't go to a college only for a huge campus and their parties because that will get you nowhere fast. Baruch doesn't have either of the aforementioned "qualities" but it does have a great school called Zicklin for business. Join for what your money is worth in terms of education! Baruch is hands down a great value for the money you pay. If you join groups and get to know people and you're not anti-social you'll definitely have a rewarding experience. This is just a review for the system of Baruch. i just hate the idea that i cant enter the school unless i have a baruch id. i have a cuny id, does that mean i am not good enough even for a tour? i dont even know if they offer one but at queens college you can enter as you wish. they also have a tour that is hosted every wednesday. i like the library so-so. i think it is great that is open until midnight but the computer plug is insanely hard to find. why do put a plug on the bottom of the table? the plug is not only for the lamp but for our computers too. that is only a problem when you sit on the big tables. i was also there a few days ago and they had a emergency siren ringing for over 6 hours! it is an emergency door but can you at least have the courtesy to close the siren even if someone used the doors? i am assuming it happens quite often because i saw several people with ear plugs and so i infer that it occurs consistently. someone tell me if i am wrong. read more

Overrall: Attended Baruch as a computer information system major from 13 - 15.I Could say it was worth studying programming and quantitative analytics. I landed two opportunities at mid cap hedgefunds and finally ending at rank #1 PE firm as a Trade Engineer. Now I am considering my masters in CIS. Campus Life: I didn't had much of a social life on campus cause I was working full time and punching down 12 credits per semester. But, I meet some good partners for investment and continuous life improvement. Oh big key take away. Academic isn't as important as who you know! NETWORK,NETWORK, NETWORK!!!! Education: Okay Education, I say if your finance and accounting your getting a bang for your buck. Got guys that end up at Investment Banks and a few HF. For CIS and quantitative analytics the professors don't really push for advance materials. If you strive for advance material your on your own. Even when you call during their working business hours.....NO ONE answers. Have fun calling about 15+ times, if you actually wanna speak to someone....even then good luck. I finally got in touch with one of the offices and the girl on the phone had the biggest attitude proceeded to tell me she was going to hang up the phone on me. A great Facility with many activities for the student But.....some of the staff are not so great........Example: Security and many adjunct Professors that sometimes forget about which student is which? This is my fourth semester here. Mornings aren't that crowded. The only time that is busy is late afternoon and early evening. One time, I want to go from 5th floor to the 11th floor, but the "up" elevators are crowded, so I have to take a "down" elevator. The office elevators are slower than the atrium elevators. These elevators stop at every floor, except the one on the right, which skips floors 2 through 7. When I leave at 10:15pm this semester, the streets aren't that busy and the restaurants nearby are closing. read more

Extremely poor excuse for a college. There are many professors at this school that have a name in their field yet cannot teach. Many courses are needlessly difficult. Talented students frequently need to take a W (withdraw) just to prevent their GPA's from hitting the floor. It is mandatory for business, finance and accounting majors to take their corrupt pre-calculus class. Their pre-calculus class has a notorious failure rate. It's a huge money maker for the school since people have to repeat the course time and time again. I even had a professor that made jokes about what would happen if the New York Times published the failure rate of the class. The same professor recommended that I leave my accounting major simply because I was struggling with the pre-cal class. Fast forward several years later I am a very successful accountant. I transferred out of this hell hole and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Accountants do not need to know pre-calculus! It is impossible to book a session with a tutor for pre-calculus since so many students are struggling with this insanely difficult course. If a student fails this course three times they are not allowed to take a business, finance or accounting major at Baruch. It was so sad to meet people that changed their major and course in life just because they were unable to pass this rigged class. Avoid at all costs. read more

Okay so first I will say that the one thing and only thing I love about Baruch is the location. The vertical campus is very modern and considering the whole campus is basically in three buildings it is very convenient. However I am extremely disappointed with the school. I think most people come here want a business degree from a school with a decent reputation for cuny/suny pricing. However, you will feel like you've spent 5 dollars a semester here the way you are treated. As everyone else stated in their reviews, the administrative services are TERRIBLE!!! Everyone is rude and has an attitude and is undertrained. Academic advisement center is the worst. It took me an entire year to get an appointment with an advisor to go over the courses I needed to graduate. Also, every other advisor will tell you something contradictory to the other. Basically you will spend as much time in class as you will running circles around Baruch trying to get answers to simple questions. SECOND, majority of the teachers suck!!! Baruch hires over educated doctorates that have no skill or knowledge on how to teach. In my time at Baruch as a business student I did not have even 3 professors I liked. The only professor I loved was in the black and Latino studies department. The math teachers are the worst. They are as I stated, over educated with no teaching knowledge (except for this one guy who teaches math 1030). Also, they are rude about it. They will make you feel dumb for their lack of teaching abilities. The sacc department (the math tutoring center, which promise me if you take a math class there you will be using) is useless. You get one hour of tutoring shared with 3 other kids so you basically get to ask 3 questions an hour and the "tutors" are just alumni or peers that are math geniuses, also with no teaching abilities. All in all yes getting the degree from Baruch holds the best power behind the name as far as a business school in all of the suny/cuny schools but, it is not worth it. It's not Wharton business school or Kelly business school, for which if I was attending I could maybe have more patience for shenanigans. BARUCH IS A DISASTER. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME read more

I'm currently a student at City College, and just used Baruch's library. I was blown away by how well-kept the library was, quiet, great natural sunlight, and just plain good facilities of the place. Obviously a new renovation helps, as does money and support from the CUNY system. But the real plus - the library is open from 7am to 12am. Now that's what I call service! And they have so many services: laptops, study pods, keys to study rooms for Grad students...I'm going to look into other grad programs at Baruch. Good location for people who live downtown or Brooklyn, and you feel like you're at some spiffy private college too. Yay Baruch College Library. read more

I hired 6 people from Baruch in last year and after hiring they ALL have two things in common: - from Baruch College & - can't read or write and are unable to communicate effectively Disgusting how people get accepted and finish their degrees with Baruch. Baruch is whatever. Love the price, but love/hate everything else. The class descriptions mean almost nothing, it's the professor you have that really decides what experience you have. I am a devoted user of Rate My Professor, but I found their comments were less than helpful--many times, people gave good ratings just because of the easy A. There were several professors that I found less than useless and learned nothing from, but had 4+ stars, and amazing professors that were engaged, knowledgeable, and helpful who got 2 stars. As a psychology major, I found the psych department surprisingly comprehensive. The trick is to talk to professors--and other staff--individually, then you can form a good advising relationship and work in the labs for experience. The department administrator is super nice and helpful, too. Also note: most of the psych faculty is more concerned with their research than teaching, so I found that I learned the most from adjuncts (grad students) in the small, specialized classes. The only classes taught by faculty that I found worthwhile were Mind, Body, and Behavior by Prof. Mengels and Abnormal Psychology by Prof. Lutwak (love this lady, and she is one of the few clinical psychologists on the staff). I made virtually no lasting friendships at Baruch, I really had no interest in maintaining relationships with my classmates. I think it's hard even for people who are interested in it. The best way to make friends is to join an organization; become part of a club, write for the newspaper, work for Encounters, work on campus, etc. Some people are engaged and really want to help you, and some clearly hate life and everything at Baruch. It sucks when you're stick with one of the latter. AVOID: 99% of staff at the Bursar and Registrar, some at the Financial Aid office, all security guards not in the library building (for some reason the ones in the library are usually nice), Academic Advisement, most people in the Office of Student Life, and people on student government. SEEK OUT: Psych department and professors, English department and professors, Performing Arts professors, PAWS lounge, custodians, STARR career center, Political science professors, old building (surprisingly nice to hang out in, since it's usually abandoned), and French professors. I had some terrible, boring classes that taught me nothing, and some amazing classes that introduced me to new experiences and had very cool professors.
