The parking situation isn't very good also. When I walked in, I wasn't welcomed with a simple greeting, a hello, or anything. I sat on the black worn out couch and just waited until the barber in the middle chair (left side when you walk in) to finish up. There was no one other than him there, (the bald barber with some hair on the sides), and I didn't catch his name. So he calls me up, and I end up sitting in the chair while he went to the back making tea or coffee and started flipping the big TV channels for a few minutes. At this point I'm thinking what the heck is going on here! I couldn't understand the show as it was in a different language. Finally he returns and after explaining to him 5 times at least on how I wanted my haircut, he still managed to get it wrong, but I didn't expect too much for a $12 dollar cut. That bad haircut isn't what bothered me the most as you'll find out below. To add insult to injury, I was about to hand him $12 plus a standard common courtesy tip. The jerk then says, "my price is $15 not $12, the other guys may take 12 but I don't work for that". I didn't question it much other than telling him about the listed price on the storefront. His response was "I don't care about the sign". So, I gave him $15 and walked out never to return again. If you want a really bad haircut with plenty of excuses and you want to be charged more than the advertised price, get your haircut at this place. I don't trust these reviews, as most are probably family and friends. But, you don't have to take my word for it. Try it out. HOWEVER, I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU ASK ABOUT THE $12 PRICE FIRST AND REPEAT IT BACK TO THE BARBERBEFORE SITTING IN THE CHAIR - MAYBE EVEN PAY IN ADVANCE TO SEE IF THEY WILL HONOR IT!!

I think that's all you ask out of a business. So I updated my review and my nephews are happy they got their cut. First review: Awful. I had an appointment for my nephew at 11:30am and the place was not open. Waited until 12:20 and still no sign of anyone. How can someone run a business like this? Call me and say you need to reschedule or you're running or something! Common decency is to reach out to folks. My nephew loves the way he gets his haircut here but the lack of customer service/respect for people's time is such a turn off. The lateness, the amount of time they say they are open when they are not is really frustrating.

The atmosphere is a little intimidating though…read more Came in here a few times leading up to my wedding, as I was getting cheaper, "sloppy" cuts from other haircut places and needed to get my hair back together and organized. Walking in here, there's a lot of chairs for people to cut hair, but apparently Dave is the only one that works there unfortunately. I came in here ready to explain how I would like it cut, but he had some of his own ideas in mind and explained to me that that is how he'd like to cut my hair. It was similar to what I usually get (shortened wave with my hair spiked and to the side, with a #1 on the sides), but he wanted to put the "hard" line on the right side of my part. He said it would look nice, so I trusted him to do it. It did end up looking great though! When he also recommended how to have my beard shaved, again, I obliged because I hadn't been taking care of it like I should have so anything was better than what it was. Again, it looks really nice after! The intimidating part came from getting the feeling like I didn't know how to take care of myself. Yes, I looked great leaving the place and I was very satisfied, but I felt like I was talked down to slightly because of the questions I had or what I was requesting. Also, one time, there was an issue with scheduling where I made an appointment, and for some reason it booked two time slots instead of one. Not my fault at all, but he got really upset and someone else was coming in for my second appointment timeslot that I didn't book or need. The system double booked appointments but I was to blame.

Further to the last post where I detailed how Holly (a registered nurse and the owner) left me with…read moresecond degree burns from the laser treatment, I have now had to be on antibiotics for some of the burn wounds becoming infected, was on prescription pain killers, had to get a tetanus shot, have been both to urgent care and the family doctor multiple times to deal with the second degree burns. And, according to the family doctor will almost certainly have permanent scars from the laser burns Holly inflicted. My lawyers have reached out to Holly to obtain her insurance info, which she is refusing to provide. Further, Holly had promised to refund the $200 gift card I had with her. She has not. And has kept an additional $50 she charged to my credit card that she was never entitled to. (Which I have filed a fraud report with my credit card company over.) Do not get treated at Reawaken Spa. Not only did Holly leave me with documented (by her, me, and multiple sets of doctors) second degree burns, but she is not professional enough to take responsibility for them by letting her insurance company and my lawyers properly settle the matter. Based on this action of her, I fear the only remedy is going to court (vice settling it between the lawyers and her insurance, since she refused that option) and filing a report with her RN licensing board because I genuinely fear what she will do to her patients, especially as a nurse.

However, when the laser came in contact with the marker, it left, what urgent care confirmed, 2nd degree burns all up and down my legs directly over the marker's marks. Urgent Care also had to put me on prescription pain killer as it was painful to sit, sleep, put on or take off pants, shower, etc. I now have medical appointments to deal with the burns well into next week. On top of all this, I drove back to the med spa an hour after the appointment to show Holly the burns (which she photographed for her own records) and she took no accountability in an email she sent hours later despite initially sending in a prescription for antibiotic ointment to my pharmacy.

After reading the reviews of several near me I took a chance on this one. They fit me in their schedule the same day. The shop is clean and pleasant. The waiting area is small but comfortable.
