We were in the area for a bachelorette blow out. It rained out first day so we decided to do some throwback pj style party at our hotel. We wanted to do some heavy eating but wanted to at least close in our rings/steps for the day. We call in our order and head to the place since it's in walking distance. Of course the rain stop maybe 300 feet after leaving the hotel. We arrive a few minutes earlier than the food was suppose to be ready but the place is already closed and locked down. Dude opens, we tell him our order he says he needs another 5 mins. We place the area looking at bars and art in the area as we wait for them to complete our order. The guy rings us up and we head out. We make it back to the hotel to see that we have one wrong order (something we didn't order) and one missing item. In addition, everything isn't the same temp. Like open container and steam comes out but the ravioli is both hard and barely warm. What's really weird about this is the guy that took payment, also packed our food away while reading off the order? Items where in aluminum take away boxes so we never saw them. We call no answer, even though they were still suppose to be open another 30 minutes. Maybe 15 minutes later, Grubhub delivers an order to the hotel for someone else in our group that order right after we left. Some of the food is room temp and some is unequally warm/hot like it was reheated? Everything was reheated and we make a buffet spread so everyone tries a little bit of everything. The food was basic. The sauce and cheese was just ...basic like someone was scared of flavor. Thankfully there was still someone out and they did a $7 Walmart run for Rao's Vodka Sauce, garlic powder, chill flakes, and salt. Restaurant takes no responsibility and does nothing to fix the failure, leaving it to me to fight with UberEats, who also denies, defers, takes no responsibility and keeps my money. Went over and picked up 2 medium pizzas for lunch.. Staff is really friendly and the pizzas were ready on time. Something I found weird was that the restaurant was pretty much empty and it was lunch time. I did notice a few other people picking up food so maybe it's more of a takeout spot. I thought the pepperoni pizza was absolutely delicious and so was the cheese. The crust was baked to a perfect golden brown very crispy. Lunch specials seem a bit steep and price, and I think that $2 for a Coke can is a little bit on the outrageous side but the food was really good. read more

This is the first restaurant we hit when we flew in and it was such a waste of time. Paid for an hour at the parking meter, went inside, and waited about 10 minutes for somebody to come out of the kitchen to acknowledge us. And a lady came out and took our order who seemed pretty nice and made some small talk. We waited and waited and then she came out and said 3 more minutes on the pizza, it is almost ready to come out of the oven. In about 10 minutes she came back out and said I'm sorry there is no pizza dough. There must be some major miscommunication here because I don't know how it was ready to come out of the oven then all the sudden there's no pizza dough. At this point my time ran out on the parking leader so I had to add 30 more minutes. People were coming in for their order and also delivery drivers and she was telling everybody 45 minutes longer because they're out of pizza dough. She brought us some free garlic rolls and had us reorder pasta. We got lasagna and fettuccine. The fettuccine was really not edible. The noodles were not fully cooked and the sauce was milk so it had no taste. My son did not eat the lasagna. She did comp us for one meal but we didn't eat either one. read more

I would recommend Basani's for its pizza more than anything else. If you are looking for a flavorful slice of NY pizza, foldable and cheesy with a bit of grease, Basani's is great. They have a great lunch special too...for $7.95 you get an entree like chicken parm with pasta, a garlic knot and a small green salad. It's a hell of a deal and the food is pretty good. My biggest gripe is that the subs are just lackluster. I have ordered the chicken parm sub twice and it was just mediocre. The bread was really soft, the cheese didn't have much flavor and the chicken was bland. I would stick with the pizza here and you won't be disappointed. read more

Ok, so let me explain three stars: I'm half-Sicilian, but when push comes to shove, my Irish half takes over and is able to eat just about anything. With that said, my meal from Basani's did what it was meant to do: feed me. Ritch and I ate our meal from the bar at Vlada's. Yup, they'll deliver there. So, several cocktails into happy hour, we both had a need for medicinal eating. Basani's fit that bill. I had a feeling it wouldn't be authentic Italian cuisine, and with my expectations managed, I was not disappointed. It was fine in a pinch. Was it Moriano's? No. However, that said, Moriano's is gone, and I need to move on. Tonight, when having yet another Irish craving for Italian food (You see, real Italians don't eat Italian food out) we're ordering from Pizza Volante. I'll be comparing and contrasting the two in a review soon. Maybe Basani's will work for my Irish side, and Pizza Volante will be reserved for my Sicilian side. Wouldn't that be nice? This afternoon I went to this location around lunch time, they were not busy at all, only 5 people eating at that time (3 customer in a table close to the window and 2 customer eating at the counter) when I did my approach to the counter to speak with a lady employee, I ask her nicely if the Manager or Owner were available, and there was another person standing by her ( his name CARLOS THE COOK) told me they were so busy (the only busy thin they were doing was watching the soccer world cup on TV) and he scream at ME to "GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE" in front of all 5 customer and he went inside to the kitchen. WOOOW VERY NICE... The way you treat people in this place call family restaurant. I got so angry that I ask the lady what was his name and she told me was "CARLOS THE COOK" and the Owner "George" and told them in front of everyone "very nice the way you treat your customer" and I got out of there. Let me tell you something where ever are this guy from, need education and If I was the manager or owner I will fire him ASAP. BY THE WAY...what was the cook doing outside with his dirty apron on outside standing watching the game, what a great service...CONGRATULATIONS for you people. I wonder why the restaurant was empty at that time even having a lunch for only $6.95 that's very sad, my recommendation to the owner: Need to be more time in your own restaurant and hire quality people.
