1/10: I have never felt so immediately welcomed at a business as I did at 207 Laser. I was so…read morenervous, but when I came in for the first time the entire staff - like they had known me my whole life and were genuinely excited to see me again, despite never having met me before - greeted me with an enthusiastic, "Hi, Steff!" It felt genuine. It was so warm, like a hug with words. As did the space/waiting room which is so lovely and so inviting. I'm currently working with Christopher May, and he was a joy to talk with. He was so personable; I appreciated how distractingly chatty (in the most engaging and friendly way possible) he was, because it made the experience seem much less painful and much more quick than it probably was. He's got really good energy, and I felt comfortable from the first moment we talked on the phone for my free consultation (and I had endless questions then). It's infrequent these days that your first experience with a business is an immediate success, but I knew from the moment I walked into 207 Laser that I made the right decision. But... Bizarrely rude, disrespectful service…read more This shop's beautiful clothing caught my eye, so my husband and I stopped in. I brought several items into the dressing room. Meanwhile, my husband was considering trying on a sweater. While he was looking at it, the shopkeeper went into the back and came out wearing that very sweater -- but didn't say a word about it. While my husband was deciding what to make of this, I came out to show him a shirt. We agreed it was beautiful, but not for my body shape. The shopkeeper reached into my dressing room for the tops I didn't want. I was ready to look for more, and I hadn't even tried on the pants I had in there, but he reached for the pants and snapped, "Those too, please." Then he said, "I don't think you will find anything here to your taste." Of course, we left immediately. The man seemed like he was seething with fury. I'm glad my husband was there to witness this or I might not have believed it. For a great selection and attentive, caring service, I recommend Bliss on Exchange Street (www.blissboutiques.com).
