The one who I read had openings was not my first choice, so I was led to believe that another doctor, whose online bio appealed to me, would be shown the form I filled out and I'd get a response. So, I never got a response. I called in June to remind her and was told "the doctor was on vacation" blah blah blah. She promised she would show the doctor my inquiry and I'd hear back either way. This didn't happen. That conversation was on June 5th and it is now over a month later. I give up on this practice. How can you be offering "concierge" medicine which is supposed to devote extra time to patients and completely ignore a potential new patient who is willing to jump in and pay the practice MONTHLY whether being seen or not? Ugh.

At first, I couldn't even get an appointment as a new patient, but then I got a referral. Even then I had to wait four months. Healthcare shortages... I get it. Some places give reminder calls. This place didn't. Instead, I got a call the afternoon before about my insurance which recently changed. Other places (OHSU) called a week before but this clinic called at the very last minute. When I called them back to give them the new number I had to repeat the information 5 or 6 times and I kept being told it was invalid. Later I found out that the person didn't have a lot of experience entering insurance information and it was user error on their part. I wasn't given any other information like how early to get their etc. most doctors offices do automated reminder calls emails with this kind of info but I was only given the basics. I got stuck in traffic on the way to an 8 am appointment. I tried calling at 7:45 to tell them I'd be 10-15 minutes late but couldn't get through and was told to call at 8 when the office opened. Called at 8 and was on hold for 15 plus minutes. When I finally got through to someone I was told it was too late to check in (even though I already checked in online and filled out a bunch of forms). Then I was told that I had to reschedule. Then I was told there were no available times that I could be rescheduled to. I get that I was late and they are understaffed but I wish that they could have at least referred me somewhere else. This is the first time I was late somewhere and the office couldn't fit me in or reschedule. Communication from the office could be a lot better.

I was scheduled with another doctor who was fine, but recently received a bill for $141 out of pocket cost for the consult which I've never received from the clinic in the past. Contacted my insurance provider thinking it was a mistake and was informed that the provider I saw was 'out of network' and therefore was not fully covered under my plan.. I reached out to the clinic via MyChart to clarify that I only saw the physician I was scheduled with as Dr Young couldn't see me as originally planned and that I shouldn't be held accountable for a bill I wouldn't have received otherwise. They responded stating the bill was my full responsibility and that they have no plan on fixing the issue. Absolutely the most distasteful and inappropriate way to care for patients, all this clinic seems to care about is collecting that $$$ even if it was a credentialing/scheduling error on their part. I also clarified I wanted to speak with the supervisor who reviewed the message and have been ignored since. I personally work as a medical assistant in the same building and would not recommend this clinic or any of their physicians to any patients who intend to have their care as a first priority. Will be seeking a new primary care physician elsewhere in the future.

I am a solid 20 pounds over weight. No one deserves to be fat shamed, ever. She also could not seem to keep track of which family member was dead (even though she took what seemed like detailed notes every time we met). My finally straw was when she ended up having to open her own practice (she moved around a lot), I am assuming because the previous family practices could not tolerate her. No one clearly liked her in the office. When I showed up to my appointment, she had double booked me. Informed me she had realized she couldn't take my insurance, and should have informed me before I came to the appointment. She canceled the appointment on site, after I had waited a full hour because of the double booking. She ordered blood work. Then charged me for the appointment. There is still no resolution. Based on the discussion the doctor charted the visit as an ordinary visit, not a preventative physical exam. This changed my billing from a normal copay to a $590 bill! This lack of informed financial consent raises serious concerns about compliance with the Oregon Unlawful Trade Practices Act (ORS 646.608) and RCW 19.86 in Washington, both of which prohibit deceptive and unfair billing tactics. The absence of clear, itemized explanations, combined with a refusal to re-code services that were plainly preventive, reflects a systemic issue that may warrant regulatory review. Patients have the right to receive services with full understanding of financial implications, and to be informed prior to incurring out-of-pocket charges for procedures that are reasonably assumed to be covered. When billing is weaponized as a profit-maximizing tool--particularly in the context of routine or preventative care--it undermines both trust and access to care. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!…read more My doctor's office called me and left a message to call them but did not leave an extension to punch in for when I called back, so I had to go through their Patient Service (hahahaha) Center as if I was calling them cold. After waiting 20 minutes to get a human, they made me wait another 10 minutes while they contacted my doctor's office (one of their own clinics) to make sure that I was allowed to talk to them directly - and I was RETURNING their phone call! When I finally got through, I asked my doctor's office why they didn't leave their extension (since THEY called ME); the lady said that her supervisor wouldn't allow that..... I wrote a letter to their chief medical officer and she told me that they don't like patients to call and talk to the individual doctor office staff because "sometimes the calls go on a bit to long and the staff are trying to help patients..." What the hell am I - a potted plant? Needless to say, I have new doctor. A human at the actual doctor's office answers the phone. If you like dealing with cable tv companies, airlines, big banks, and the IRS, stick with the Vancouver Clinic - they are no better.
