If you don't go to the doctor in 3 years they just remove you as a patient and don't tell you! Finally had a medical emergency and needed primary care follow-up and they said "too bad" unfortunately this is their policy (even though most of the time was during Covid) I asked for any other PCP in their clinic and they said no one was accepting new patients at this time! Now I'm stuck searching for a new PCP in time of crisis after an ICU stay. What a terrible experience!!! read more

Convenient to the hospital... my specialist doctor's office who I found through recommendations on UrbanMamas had recommended this physicians office. I saw Dr. Le who was quite friendly and had me in and out and on my way in no time at all and a nice prescription for my bronchitis. It was easy to get a same day appointment too. Since moving to Portland, I've had the tendency to go to ZoomCare which although nice I miss the consistency of being able to see one doctor constantly and also seeing actually seeing an MD (I usually end up seeing a physician's assistant at ZoomCare). read more

I moved my care to a new physician (due to poor communications, not returning calls by Dr. Le) and completed their form for transferring all records and test results. After they received my form they called me to ask if I was moving my account - I called them and confirmed that I was. They have not sent my records to my new doctor as requested. My new doctor's office sent a request for my records and Dr. Le's office STILL has not sent the records! read more

I've had two primary care physicians, both of whom have provided excellent care. My current PCP, Katherine Kasik, is absolutely top notch -- attentive, knowledgeable and, most important, caring. Tragically, Dr. Kurz passed away in the first half of 2013, so the future of the entire practice is somewhat in question. They are rotating other staff through the office to compensate, but I may be looking elsewhere for my health care. While I appreciate the location and care that I have received from two separate physicians at this clinic, I am regularly disappointed by their medical assistant, Hector. I was going on a month long trip and needed thirty days of a prescription originally written by an outside specialist who had been unresponsive. Dr. Le had previously written a prescription for me under similar circumstances. Hector refused to call the on-call doctor ("he won't write it because there is no guarantee you'll come back") as Dr. Le was out of town and then once I told him I had seen another doctor in the practice he said he would go to him with my request for the prescription. Instead of doing as he said, Hector, without my permission, called the outside specialist (who miraculously answered the phone) and then made me come in the DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING with full knowledge that I was only coming in for one month's refill and would then be seeking another specialist. I have since returned from traveling and called the new specialist that Cascade Physicians referred me to. He is not accepting new patients and is located very far away. I called Cascade Physicians to ask for a new referral as I was told by my insurance group that I needed one. Hector called me back and told me that they did not have any more doctors on their list to refer me to and that I would need to just go through the directory on my insurance website and call around. After explaining AGAIN that I need a referral in order to initiate care, he agreed to get a referral for me some time tomorrow. As I said, I appreciate the care I have received from physicians here but the lack of communication with actual doctors coupled with the run around the medical assistant has given me twice within a month has caused me seek care elsewhere. read more

It has been one of the worst patient care from the nurses and receptionists. The male nurse (Hector) was kind of person that doesn't care about you, super arrogant. I gave him some notes about my history and he said he was going to note them in my history. The doctor came and she couldn't find anything on her computer. Later the same nurse call us to make an appointment which he gave us the day and the time. Well, we went to the appointment the day he gave us. When we arrived the receptionist told us we were wrong. The appointment was only for my wife (it was suppose to go with the results for my wife and myself) and for the next day at different hour. The doctor (Dr. Le) was in a rush to finish the appointment, it was a physical and very rushed one. I am not going there anymore, If they don't care about us as patient, then I can find better doctors. Stay away from that place. read more

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE, more specifically Dr. Le. I had been struggling with severe pain for months and been thinking it was endometriosis. My OBGYN wanted me to get a primary care to rule out any other things that could be causing the pain They messed up the appointment time TWO TIMES IN A ROW. I saw Dr. Lee and was hands down the worst doctor I have ever seen. I took the time to fax all my medical records over and she did not even look at any of them. As I was explaining what was going on, she cut me off and said she does not prescribe pain medication. The appointment took a turn for the worse, and it was clear she thought I was there only to get pain medication (which I wasn't). She said she was not the doctor for me, and that she could not help me. She gave me back my medical records and showed me the door. She refused me medical care. I just had surgery to diagnose and remove severe endometriosis thanks to doctors who did their duty and care about their patients. This practice should be ashamed of themselves. Dr. Lee, you shouldn't even be a doctor if you do not care about the patients you see, I honestly don't know how you haven't been reported. read more

My mom has been an established patient of Dr Le's for years and it has been very disheartening to witness the terrible care she has received after sustaining a cervical disc herniation. Follow up care was non-existent leaving her in agonizing pain. Her doctor went on vacation and the the doctor covering her patients refused refill her pain medication despite the fact that she was scheduled for surgery the following week. I also feel that they do not take time to address basic preventative care with their patients. Very disappointed, would not recommend. read more

I've been a patient for 10 years. Was recently in a an MVA and called for follow up but they will not see patients for workers comp or MVA. I"m guessing the reimbursement is too low. They have become exactly what is wrong with healthcare today. They have ruined the patient provider relationship. Because they would not see me I had to utilize ER 2x. Thus, they are indirectly increasing the cost of healthcare. read more

This practice is staffed by excellent physicians. While I can understand that not everyone has the same experiences, my husband and I have been patients for 12 + years and have seen at least 6 of their past and present doctors in various situations (Kurz, Woskow, Peel, McGrew, Kasik, Fares) including medical emergencies, routine exams, and sick visits. Their competence and communication are unparalleled. Referrals to other specialists have generally been exceptional. I had my first visit with Dr. Kasik today and it was great! I'm not sure what is causing all the negative reviews about this place... The receptionist was super nice and friendly, the waiting area was large and comfortable, and I was called back quite close to my appointment time. The nurse was efficient, and Dr. Kasik might be one of the nicest doctors I've been to! She was attentive and approachable, and really took the time to get to know me, understand my health history, and listen to/address all the concerns I'd been having recently. Dr. Kasik either did something or provided recommendations/printouts for each and every one of them. I really appreciated this. She listened to my issues and took action right there to help me (none of which involved jumping to suggesting medication right away - instead offered advice regarding stretches, exercises, and diet where necessary). I did have some waiting time throughout the appointment because it seemed to be a busy day in the office, but it was worth it for my appointment here. I obviously can't comment on the other doctors here because I haven't seen any of them, but from my experience, I definitely recommend the office and Dr. Kasik! read more

Looking at these reviews, I am really not sure where all the hate is coming from. Are we even visiting the same place? A couple of years back, I left the Kaiser insurance system, which was very structured and easy to navigate. After floundering a bit and being overwhelmed by all the available options, my search for a new primary physician led me here, and I have been quite pleased thus far. (To be fair, I don't really have much to compare it to.) All of the staff, as well as both doctors I have seen, have been lovely. Both times I have needed a same day appointment, I have gotten one. Additionally, an on-call physician returned my message after about half an hour late one Friday night when I was having a bad reaction to some antibiotics. My appointments have always been on time, and I never feel particularly rushed during one. They also have a lab right in their office, and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to get called in. Bonus: they have a parking garage attached to their building--you just have to tell the attendant the name of your doctor, and they'll wave you right in. Maybe I've just been lucky? Anyway, I would recommend these guys. Love the location, too. read more

I needed a new primary care physician, and when I called Cascade they were really friendly and helpful, and they were able to get me in as a new patient within 2 days. Everyone there was friendly, the registration process was simple and fast, and waiting times were very brief. I arrived a few minutes early and they had me in before my appointment time. How do you make a complaint when the doctor harming you is the owner/board and/or involved with the business of Cascade Physicians, according to the secretary of the State's site. And when during a personal injury lawsuit didn't show me a medical records that has now harmed my health, from 2015, and just seeing that my brain herniation was very clearly printed then and this record never given to me or added to my history, b/c everyone was protecting the police who left me on a curb for 41 minutes without medical care, thinking I was intoxicated when sober, and reporting false police reports after they let my assailant go and didn't want to correct their mistakes. We support our military and the police not the corrupted ones though and there are some who are corrupted. I would think doctors should protect not destroy a victim of an unprotected assault, but they were protecting the police. Then I figured out massive insurance fraud was going on by attorneys and major medical identity theft has happened to me and my insurance, so, No I would never trust this organization again. It's what happened to me. It's up to you who you choose as your doctor, but there is something very bad going on when you are a personal injury victim and about 15 other doctors were involved in harming me in chart notes, forged and tampered with medical records and no consoling what so ever. almost 5 years later and finally reporting outside the State of Oregon. read more

Dr. Peel is excellent but in general this office struggled horribly to communicate and follow up. Failed to get records on more than one occasion, couldn't email doctor's summary -- or even post it to their own portal -- and, far worse, a lab technician overslept my appointment (not kidding - they actually told me this was due to daylight savings) and then didn't hook up a 2-day test correctly. Definitely one to avoid. But Dr. Peel is excellent. read more

Because I knew my doctor of over 20 years would be retiring soon, I started to worry about that dreaded "goodbye look for another doctor letter". Would I be able to find someone as good? When it finally came, I asked my doctor for a recommendation and she gave me the name of her very own Dr Katherine Kasik. I called Cascade Physicians and was so happy Dr Kasik agreed to accept me as a patient. Yesterday I had my first annual exam. Although I am a new patient, she knew all about my medical history. She was patient with my unending questions, had great communication skills and answered everything thoroughly. She was quick to catch on, empathetic, and a good listener. The entire experience was amazing starting with Erin the gal out front who checked me in. She was also very patient and quick witted. I must say I actually enjoyed my visit and feel so lucky to have found another doctor I can trust! read more

As another reviewer put it, this place is a patient factory. They take your vitals, have you fill out a questionnaire, then feed that into their computers. No one has every looked up from their computer long enough to look at me or find out why I'm there. I first came here after a serious injury and had no other doctor at the time, so I stayed on. The doctor turnover seems pretty regular, so I've had inconsistent care. And all they look at is their questionnaires, so they know nothing about me. And be aware, their referrals suck!! I've had terrible luck with an ENT (botched a surgery) and another clinic they sent me to. Then they blame me if I am unhappy with the referral. Also, I have asked for programs to help with specific issues and they chuckle and say, "wouldn't that be nice." They have brochures for health info that may or may not be appropriate to your needs, but rather than discuss them with you, then hand you a bunch, note your chart, and shove you out the door. Some day, I will have another type of insurance and I plan to go elsewhere, as well as go out of my way to not recommend this place to people. While I like my physician at Cascade Physicians, she is extremely difficult to get in touch with. Her practice of defensive medicine makes access additionally difficult. Her reply to just about everything is to come in to the office for testing and an office visit. It can take days to have someone call back, and usually it's a nurse or aide; never, never the physician. If there are other options, you would be better served to select one of those. An acute care facility, such as ZoomCare, is much more efficient and faster for basic things and testing. read more

I'm actually extremely disappointed in Cascade right now. I have been with this office for probably 4 years and have seen multiple doctors there who have all been great but when I called today to try to schedule an apt with the next available doctor because I was in a car accident I was told that none of the doctors would see me and I'd need to go somewhere else. When I tried to clarify I was told that they do not like to get involved with car insurance claims. I asked what happens four months from now when something else happens that may impact the same area they said that if the underlying cause was found to be related to the accident I'd have to go elsewhere. The receptionist was pleasant enough but the fact that my primary care office refuses to see me related to a health issue just because they don't want to have to bill a car insurance company (even though I offered I could put it on my personal health insurance) instead of my health insurance and now impact the care I can receive from their establishment moving forward is enough to make me consider changing my PCP. I asked the insurance company since they just called if that is a common occurrence and the lady I talked to said she had never heard of that happening in the 20 years she's bee working on insurance claims. A few goggle searches shows it's not unheard of but I think it's just awful. read more
