When we were asked to leave a tip and declined the worked said "I hope the ice cream makes you sick and you have a bad night" what kind of psychotic thoughts do you have to say that out loud at a job you are being paid for. Always a tasty treat and a great way to celebrate a birthday (they send you a coupon for a free scoop, so take advantage of that and make sure you sign up for the email list) and overall it was pleasant! The service was incredibly slow, however. The employees were nice enough and let us sample a flavor or two, but it was like they were rolling along a stream of molasses ice cream. Not too charming, hardly cracked a smile, meh. Just not the best customer service, honestly probably won't go back to this one. Lots of tables and chairs, both inside and out, which is great because St. George can either be scalding hot or toasty warm--indoor and outdoor seating leaves you with a nice choice. The flavors were delicious though, I will give them that. "Mama's Homemade Cookies" was the flavor of the month and was quite delightful. A kid scoop is plenty for me, but they offer many other variations if you're wanting to splurge a little. It's a good price too, can't go wrong with a fancy $2 cone. Such poor customer service!! Simply unbelievable!! I showed up at BR 9:55 PM. The door was open and the sign was on and said open. A young female employee looked at me and said "we are closed." "I'm so sorry!" I said "what time do you close??" She said "10 PM." So I looked and my iPhone and said, "it's 9:55 PM. Why are you close now?" "We're sorry but our clocks are different and we're just closed." Nervously she walk to the back and brought out somebody else (man) who clearly was not happy. He said we are closed. I said well that's going to get you a bad yelp review, because you should be open until 10 PM? He looked at me and just said "who cares." Well as an owner, I would hope you care. Argued with me about the coupon usage. Grumpy as heck. Argued about the hot fudge side amount. No "thank you" when I left. Ice cream! What's not to like about that? There are a few things that Baskin-Robbins does best. The first is ice cream cakes. I really love their ice cream cakes. Second is mint chip ice cream. There isn't a better mint chip ice cream anywhere in the world. Go in there and buy a quart of it and go home and eat it all in one sitting. It's a trip. A few things I don't like about Baskin-Robbins are chocolate base ice cream flavors. I feel like ice cream is meant to be refreshing and enjoyed in large quantities. Baskin-Robbins chocolate ice creams are so rich that one bite is more than enough, and with ice cream one bite is never enough. So you see the problem? Also, every time I go in there for a quart they try to make me buy 3 or 4 by lowering the price on quarts 2 - 4.
