While Forever 21 had two entrances from the upper parking lot, REI has only one entrance. That second entrance and former retail space has been turned into a passageway with seating leading directly from the parking lot into the main concourse of the upper Mall level. From inside the Mall this passageway can be found between Lululemon and OraSempre, directly across from Michael Kors. REI has basically an outlet atmosphere - concrete floor, steel girder ceiling. Since I was there the day after their grand opening, there were plenty of signs announcing additional percentages off. You do NOT need to purchase a one-time co-op membership to shop in the store. Staff we encountered were helpful. Several times I was approached by an employee and asked if I needed any help finding something.

First time in to SWAT yesterday with the intention to possibly sell my gun. I had stopped at two…read morecompetitors on RTE 9 on my way there and wasn't expecting much after those interactions. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the ladies working behind the counter who told me that it would just be a minute before someone could take a look at my gun. While I waited I browsed the shop and they had a bit of everything for sale from guns, ammo, clothing, and tons of accessories. After the owner did some research and took a look at the gun he told me what he could offer for it. The offer was more than both competitors combined... He even went out of his way to explain the current market and said if I ever did decide to sell he would honor that price. I didn't end up selling, I actually bought ammo instead. In the future, no matter if its to buy or sell, SWAT will have my business.

In my efforts to downsize, I've been making some donations to the Salvation Army on Central Avenue…read morein Colonie. I like this facility. It's larger than many of the other locations. It's open on most days. They accept donations around the back. Due to staffing limitations they explained that donations of household goods must be dropped off before 11am on weekdays. They accept clothing donations throughout much of the day. They move a lot of clothing. Most of the staff is genuinely nice and helpful. I discovered that this center is also a good place to find cool, vintage glassware, especially from the 1960s. I love glassware. So while I make donations, I also pick up some fascinating etched stemware. Most don't match. It's hard to find sets but I can't beat the price which is 79 cents per glass. I also picked up some cute vintage dessert glasses at $1.99 apiece. I must sell or give away more than I purchase in order to downsize. The rule of de-cluttering is that you must donate or sell an old item before you buy a "new" one. The items at the Salvation Army are not generally new, but it is about people helping people and you can find some cool stuff.

Went around back. Sign said to push button for service. There was no button. Called inside and said I needed help with six bags (am elderly and handicapped). Told they can't take things from cars. Recently adjusting to my new body and was so nervous to go and shop for a new outfit for a date. I was very warmly greeted by a beautiful woman named, Kendra. Not only did she stock my room with gorgeous outfits, hype me up, and build up my confidence, her and her warm team of staff helped me make a normally stressful time, stress-free by catering and entertaining my children. I left in tears because of the amount of love and care i was shown today. Kendra gets 10 stars in my book. And i think that buckle has truly found a diamond when they hired her. Thank you so much!
