Bass Pro is one of mine and Robert Griffin's favorite stores. We love the huge selection of hunting, fishing,camping,shoes and clothing items. We just recently spent a lot of time in the boating section. We accidentally left two boat anchors we had purchased in the buggy. When I called the store they were extremely helpful and found our anchors and we were able to go back and pick them up. I can't wait to go shopping there again the old fashioned candy and beef jerky are my favorites. read more

Friendly service, loads of options and great layout. Stopped here on our way down to Gulf Shore, AL, happy I did they had many options on fishing (fresh and ocean), and everything was laid out and spread out so I didn't feel so tight or overwhelmed with so much items. Hubby always likes Bass Pro Shops. After knowing that they welcome RVers for overnighting, we camped out at this Bass Pro while traveling through Alabama. We called ahead to get permission for overnighting because some cities might not allowed overnight parking. The staff on the phone was friendly, knowing the situation and given us the answer right away. We had to come in to the store after we parked our RV of course! Not many customers at that time, around 7:30pm, staffs were all friendly and nice. Hubby bought a clipped on sunglasses, the lady who assisted us was real nice and helpful. Our first overnight stay at Bass Pro was very pleasant. We think it has become our first choice of overnighting location when we are RVing on the road! Too bad the in store restaurant was closed for some reason, otherwise we would have had dinner there! PS. The road coming down to the store is kind of narrow, twisty and short turns for our 40 foot long big rig. Thanks goodness we didn't have a toad! Our RV GPS even showed warning to alert us! So if you have a big rig, especially with a toad, drive slow and be cautious of vehicles coming from other direction. read more

The wait times at the at the gun counter is unacceptable. I waited for over an hour. When I signed up at the kiosk there were 5 people ahead of me. They are seriously understaffed at the gun section and lost my sale and my business. screw this place I am going to go to Academy sports in Montgomery. Today is Monday Dec 4th at 1309. So I live about 2 hours away from the Bass Pro Shop in Prattville, AL. As I was looking for ammo, I came across an associate putting ammo on the shelf off of a cart. I was there and another customer was asking the prices for the ammo on the cart. I asked how much the 30-30 ammo and he told me the price. I picked up three boxes of Hornady Super performance 6.5 Creedmore off the cart and asked how much they were and he said they were not for sale. I asked why and he said that's for something else, and also said someone else asked about those boxes of ammo. If they were for something else why even bring the. Out and have them on the cart that you are putting ammo out from? I spoke to customer service down stairs and they asked the same thing, why bring them out if they are not for sale? So now the products at the store are not for sale? I will never shop here again!! read more

Store is always well kept and clean. The wait at the gun counter is unreasonable. I hate walking in and having employees immediately asking me to sign up for their credit card, sometimes twice in one trip. Their parking lot is a bit of a disaster. They do have a huge selection for fishing supplies. Get ready to spend some money, they're definitely more pricey than academy down the road. Overall they're doing a good job but definitely some things need to be improved. read more

The floor staff is super aggressive. I was only in the store for 10 minutes and within that time it was a constant harassment by 7 different floor employees. Always trying to get me to signup for "stuff". Couldn't even catch my breath to shop. Absolutely insane. read more

I don't care how many signs you put up, the parking lot situation is awful. I almost turned around after an hour drive to get here. Way too many misleading turn ins that do not take you to the parking lot even though you are 20ft away. read more

I am a big fan of Bass Pro, however as one can see of my rating, the biggest critique I have to give is, PRICE! I've been to countless BP shops from the east coast to the west and in my experience, the ones closer to saltwater have better products and the customer service is exceptional. From fishing gear to hunting in the woods, BP may have it all but those darn prices do not always match the quality of the product. On a personal observation, I believe the saltwater gear from clothes to boating and fishing equipment, overall is better quality, but you might chalk that up as "personal bias". Lastly, I believe, as the economy is the way it is, this store could benefit from improving their reward program. Give the customers bigger incentives to shop here. If the reward program were better, I'd consider increasing my shopping at Bass Pro without a doubt. read more

Ok firstly there's a restaurant inside of the shop not that the store is an actual restaurant if you're not familiar with Bass Pro Shops. This place is big and loads of various merchandise there's a nice selection of casual clothing as well as outdoor clothing. Granted if you're looking for a big selection of camping goods their selection is a bit limited. However if you're into boating/fishing this is a great place to go to. Also there's a long meandering road to get into the store. I didn't find the staff there particularly helpful or friendly but there is plenty of parking here. read more

One of the many beautiful Bass Pro shop. This one did it disappoint. We weren't looking for anything in particular. It looked like some of the inventory in the store was out of stock probably due to covid. I'll walk through all the departments and it was amazing all the fishing supplies of course. I called about a firearm they listed as in stock. The guy that answered the phone said they didn't have any not even bothering to check. I mentioned the online info and he said let me check the back??? He then said they had 1, so I had an hour drive to get there and asked if he could hold it that long, he said they don't hold anything I said I am definitely coming and said no. I drove all the way there none were on display the guy I saw said it must be in the safe, come to find out the weapon they didn't know they had was just sold by the same guy to someone else standing right there even though it wasn't even on display. They sales men knew I was the guy and shrugged is shoulders like who cares when he found out. Unprofessional and seemed as if he purposefully tried to sell it before I got there. Will never buy a firearm there again. I understand companies have policies but customer service for something like a drive should be common sense. read more

What's not to love about Outdoor World? It's essentially a tourist attraction! You turn onto the long, meandering, tree-lined driveway leading to a big (mostly empty) parking lot, and are greeted by the imposing facade of a giant log cabin. You walk through some Disney-style turnstiles to register your presence and gaze in wonder at the expanse of glorious outdoor gear before you. You've arrived. Now to harness the limitless potential to release your inner Bear Grylls. Everything you need to survive the zombie apocalypse in style, and things you don't need for anything whatsoever, can be found inside these wood-lined walls. Buy something, or buy nothing, it doesn't matter. We wandered around in here for two hours on a lazy afternoon, and all I spent was 50 cents for the shooting arcade. That's a heck of value right there! And if you do need something for your outdoor exploration, you'll find it! The staff all seemed quite friendly and helpful, and there's even a full-service restaurant inside with some tasty-sounding food. Have not tried it yet, but plan to. I never really thought I'd be the kind of person to enjoy 'browsing' but this place really is fun! read more

Always enjoy Bass Pro. The store design and displays are well organised, easy to shop. Staff is always knowledgeable in their areas. Honestly, I've never had a bad experience at this store. Inventory is usually good, but Bass Pro prices are always higher than expected. About 10% higher than Academy, but Bass Pro usually has it in stock where Academy does not. Staff seems to be happy working there, so they must treat them well. You know when a staff member is unhappy in the retail business, it shows. I will not patronize any business that treats it's staff poorly. read more

My very first time at this restaurant and I can honestly say it was the WORST food and service I've experienced in a very long time. I'm a Veteran from out of state; I came to an office Christmas party at this location. Wait staff was misinformed about menu items, no napkins or straws were offered for drinks. Shrimp and Salmon were out, at least we thought. Half of our table recieved grilled shrimp and the other who ordered, didnt. How is this possible. Rare and Medium steaks are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. FYI. I dont know if it was the number of people, skin color, time of day, time of year, scheduling or just a pinch of bad luck; either way, this soldier will not be crossing the threshold of this location again. I'll be sure to tell my fellow vets to be cautious. read more

This is one of my favorite Bass Pro Shops. This is one of the larger sized floor plans with two full floors of merchandise. I visit quite often in order to stock up on various supplies. The staff is always friendly and willing to assist. The fishing section is very large and has anything you need for freshwater fishing in the Alabama River Region. Plenty of guns and a well-stocked ammo area, as well. read more

Stopped in on our way home from Lay Lake with a 29' camper and a German Shepherd. We were able to get in and park with no issues and our fur baby was met with smiles and a wide berth. It gave us a chance to stretch our legs, take a bathroom break, and pick up a few dog treats and a salt gun for the kids. There was even a water bowl sitting right outside of the exit. Thank you for a great stop. I would say the signage was a bit small and we were not positive which turn to take but made it with no issues. read more

First off...yeah, getting into this place is NOT easy. I totally needed to hit the bathroom when I got off I65 to check out this BPS. The sign looks like you should turn right into a waffle house/hotel area. DON'T! That is the first mistake. Then, turn at the light, and follow the signs, right? Wrong! Another turn down a dumb road that is useless. I almost crapped my pants before I finally found the place. I do give the bathrooms five stars. Anyways...a smaller BPS with a decent selection of bass gear, which is what I went for. The tank is okay. If you have never been to a BPS, check it out if you can ever get there and don't give up after a few tries of finding the REAL entrance. If you have been to different BPS's before, skip this one. Went here with some classmates. Some of them have ate here before and said the food was good. So my curiosity was sparked and decided to have dinner last Thursday. Trying to get here was like a maze. I took the truck route which took me up the hill and then back down. So I went in and headed to the restuarant. It has a variety of food but pricey. My appetizer was the mushroom stuff with venison which tasted pretty good. Then I ordered the mahi mahi and a side salad. It took about 30 mins to get my mahi mahi. The salad was good but the mahi mahi seemed to be overcook. Would I eat here again? Maybe but probably choose another dish. read more

Not bad for an outdoorsman store. Lots of selection and product variety. Huge fishing, camping, firearms and clothing areas. The prices are about 10 to 15% more expensive than amazon, but you can see the products up close and in person. One thing I thought was lacking were more premium brands for outdoor clothing. They had lots of Ascend (house brand), Carhartt, Columbia and some Northface, but lacked many of my favorites like Mountain Hardware, Marmot, and Patagonia (I know it's not REI, I get it). It's a nice place to bring the family to shop with so many in store attractions: Fudge shop, shooting simulator, huge aquarium and more. They also have a pretty good selection of canoes and limited stand up paddle boards as well as a boat dealership in the back. It can all make for a pretty long day. The staff I encountered were all warm and friendly too. One minus, was getting to their store. It seems fairly straightforward from the freeway, but you will need to take a few streets to get there. read more

Yesterday was maybe the 4th or 5th time I've ate here & it was probably one of the average times. I went with a group of 6 family members. We got seated promptly & given menus by our hostess. By the time our server, Mary, came to get our drink orders, we decided to get fried alligator & calamari appetizers. It wasn't very busy compared to other nights I've been here & she took forever to get our drinks. Our appetizers & drinks came at the same time. The calamari was just warm, not hot like other times we've ordered it. However, when the food came, it was very good. I usually order the Cajun pasta which is super good but I felt like getting something different. I got the maple glazed salmon with maple pecan butter served with broccoli & seasoned rice. It was pretty good & a pretty hefty portion which was good because it is like $18. Decent place to eat but I'm sure there are other seafood restaurants worth going to before here. read more

This place is like Disneyland without the crowds and high prices! We have visited twice since our arrival to Montgomery in the last 2 weeks. It is perfect visit for a family. My daughter loves the huge fish tank, stuffed animals and stairs. We have dined at the restaurant twice now too and it is lovely. It reminds me of the rain forest cafe!!! They have a huge fresh water tank with tropical fish above the bar area. You can stare at this for hours. The restaurant looks like you are in a log cabin in Alaska. My husband and I both had shrimp. It was very delicious. The bread is to die for... They give you a generous loaf. (We had two). It is right out of the oven and brushed with sugar. My daughter, 13 month old, had Mac and Cheese and definitely approved. She ate the whole plate! After dinner we explored the store, bought fishing rods and some fudge. The butter pecan is delightful!
