The prices are great and while I love that, they aren't the main factor in what keeps me returning and willing to have them work on my car... It's the service. Everytime I've brought my car in, the mechanics are so incredibly transparent, honest and give off a trustworthy vibe. None of them give off an impression of dread to be working that day or that they are seeking to find issues with the vehicle to upcharge me. Today, the mechanics were Degan, Stephan, Woody, and Johnny. Good guys. Gave off a great vibe and we're incredibly honest during the diagnostic. I actually came in after shopping around at the local mechanic shops around here and all of them overcharged me and tried to upsell me on fixes I didn't need. Not these guys. The service guy said they thought it was a turbo which 9.5 to 10 quarts our car takes 7 quarts. My husband took it back and the same message came up "oil limit above maximum" my husband called back and was told they would call us back and never did. It cost approximately $160. We took it to Porsche which they determined there was too much oil and removed it all which we paid $250. I would not recommend this place poor customer service.

I brought my car into Valvoline at 3930 W State St Boise, Idaho for an oil change. On my last…read morevisit, it was suggested that I get a manual transmission service performed, so at this visit, I paid for the transmission service along with the oil change. 35 miles later as I was pulling into my parking spot at work the transmission completely seized up due to the lack of oil. It was later found by a local mechanic, that the drain plug was not properly tightened as well as the crush washer not having been replaced on the transmission. While Valvoline did take responsibility for the transmission and cover the labor, they left me to pay for the clutch and flywheel. They told me the mechanic said it was normal wear and tear. When I talked to the mechanic later, he said that was never said and that it was damaged from the transmission seizing. Valvoline lied to me to get me to agree to their terms so they wouldn't have to pay for the parts. When I confronted them with this information they still refused to pay for the parts even though they knew they had gotten me to agree under false pretenses as well as only verbally, they still refused to pay. In short a $99.99 service is now costing me $700 and I was without a car for just under 2 weeks. Don't go here unless it's an emergency, last and only resort. You might only make it 35 miles before you're car is toast. Thank goodness the oil change was fine otherwise they probably would've gave me a bare block and said the rest was normal wear and tear nevermind the absence of oil.

He asks wouldn't I rather set it to the max pressure?(60#) I've done tire repair dating back to 1988. I politely tell him no set it like the rest. He crawls under the truck then tells me the pressure is to low for his fancy machine and it won't air up the tire. He tells me if I get the tire out from under the truck they can put it in the cage and air it up there. Umm... No! Instead I took the truck over to the air pump at Walmart and paid to put 40# of air in my tire. Sometimes simple is better and my time is valuable.

I took it back again and showed them, and they said they would get me another wheel. but when I asked them to put that wheel on my spare, because I had already got it ceramic coated, he charged me half price on the extra wheel, at full cost, not even at what they could buy them for at the time. Manager was very rude and it took them 2 and a half hours from my arrival to complete the new tire and balance. best part of it all is that it still isn't balanced..... never going back

You had to break shit and remove probably the most important light in the vehicle? *sigh* If you plan on taking your vehicle there, you'll get your issues fixed but be sure fully inspect your car when you get it back to see what has been damaged or removed. But I'm going to a new mechanic, one who isn't utterly dishonest.
