So we called Chef Chandra and asked if she was available to host our party of 50 on a Saturday night.

Marquis On Magnolia - Wide open area great for weddings

This isn't an enormous venue; but you can comfortably fit 250 guests. There's a gorgeous spiral staircase that leads to the main level, as well as a glass elevator. Super-tall ceilings, a spacious wooden floor, and giant windows make for a wide-open, ethereal ambiance. It's pretty majestic. The Marquis offers different wedding reception packages (including dinner, wedding cake and cake cutting, linens and glassware, centerpieces, an event coordinator, wait staff, and security) from anywhere between $17 and $54 per guest. You can also have an outdoor party, ceremony, or reception outside (for 50 guests max). I didn't get a look at their outdoor space, but based on the inside, I'm sure it's wonderful. I attended a wedding ceremony and reception here a few weeks ago, and it was pretty awesome for the wedding party and bride to come up that beautiful spiral staircase, emerging into the center of the room before they walked down the "aisle." Very unique and dramatic. After the ceremony, guests went downstairs for hors d'oeuvres and wine while the staff rearranged the upstairs from ceremony seating to reception tables, chairs, and a dance floor. It was a beautiful wedding and the Marquis on Magnolia really made it extra-exceptional.

It's a U shaped space that allows for food service on 1 side long side, seated dining on the opposite side with dais & dancing at the short connecting end. Soaring ceilings adds to the majestic and formal ambiance of the historic location. The curving central stairway makes for a unique grand view of the wedding party making their appearance by ASCENDING into the party space rather than a more typical descend; it made for great photos! I attended a wedding at this venue, so I'm guessing that they cater as well. The appetizer buffet was well presented and the offerings were prepared to the best expected. I don't think it fair to review the main meal since the wedding party had an extended photo session; therefore the food was served after a long time in warming mode. But, if you're planning a wedding or special event I would definitely encourage a consideration based on just the location, especially if you live in Fort Worth.

We bought our tickets to the event when we arrived. Tickets for tours are also available. After walking through the store and the rows of wooden barrels from floor to ceiling, you find yourself in a small area with a big bar. The event price includes one cocktail of your choice. I chose the Oh Peachy and later purchased a pecan old-fashioned; both were delicious! Unfortunately, the food truck broke down, so there was no food available!! Big Mike was performing in the big lodge room; the acoustics are pretty bad, especially once people start talking, but at least it was cool in there, We spent a lot of time in the store and ended up purchasing a fused bottle of whiskey to split. It was fun, deciding which cork stopper to get to add to my daughter's collection. The store has different sizes and shapes of a wooden court display boards; in the shape of Texas. The golf course surrounding the distillery, looks beautiful and well taken care of.

The space was so beautiful with the views and landscaping. I ordered a Frozen Cherry Coke from the bar and it tasted exactly like an icee. It was sooo good. The live music was really great too- perfect for any calm hang out with friends. They also do tours of the distillery but we didn't do that part. Note: they do last call at 9pm but they abruptly also close at 9pm so we were very quickly kicked out and closed down by 9 which was odd- but hey now we know.

Charcuterie boards can be so boring and stale if not thoughtfully designed, and obviously the freshness of the ingredients is of utmost importance. Too often with charcuterie boards you get that refrigerated taste/smell from something that's been sitting uncovered in a fridge for too long. But these boards were super-well-wrapped until time to eat. There is clearly a lot of care put into each board, and so many beautiful, quality ingredients. These particular grazing boards had a variety of 4 cheeses (like a pistachio crusted goat cheese, sharp cheddars, brie, and habanero pepper), 2 meats (salami arranged like a rose and capicola on the side), a handful of nuts (pistachios or almonds), salty cornichons or olives, plump fruit (raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and grapes), wafer-y crackers, a piece of foil-wrapped chocolate, and a tiny glass jar of local honey or jam. And a sprinkling of vibrant, edible flower petals. It's really very pretty, bountiful, and colorful. See my photos! I'd say these specific boards are a great size for 2-4 people to share. The Art of Grazing's website has all the info on their different boards.. lots of sizes, crudités or cheeses or meats or combos, holiday themes and specials. Looks like they host classes and events, too. Flight nights, brunch boards with mimosas, that sort of thing. Love it. They're in a cute little spot in Southside Fort Worth. And a women-owned business!

They were very nice, it was ready in time, and all the items on the board were delicious. I'd highly recommend placing an order with them. The food presentation was so pretty and it came on a nice slate board, which I can reuse.
