I don't think this was a traditional sidecar, which was surprising, but it was tasty. It's small, but it packs a punch. The bartenders here are very talented. Overall, I wish the space was a little bit bigger, but it's a great spot to grab a quick drink and enjoy some pizza from the spot next pdoor.

Gotta check this place out because there really isn't a "cool vibe" in Benson. It's a sleepy neglected railroad town that gets ignored by interstate drivers. There's not much in Benson to draw someone to visit this town. But I'm not an interstate driver passer-by, I live in Sierra Vista, 40 miles to the south. I actually planned a trip north to this place to check it out with a burger and beer Thursday special, and then spend some time walking around the old 'hood with my dog to check out the holiday lights. Bad move. I got here at 8:02pm on a Thursday night. The bartender told me the kitchen closed at 6pm. Huh? On a Thursday? I can understand Sundays through Wednesdays, but a Thursday? I was dumbfounded. The sign up front said the place was open until 10pm, but there was nothing stating "kitchen closes at 6pm." Nowhere. I drove all the way to Benson for nothing? Yeah, I was livid. The bartender was willing to talk to the manager but I was not about to request that the manager open the kitchen just for my order, not two hours after the kitchen staff was let go. I understand how restaurants work: hourly employees are let go early when business is slow. It's hard to make a living as kitchen staff for a restaurant unless the restaurant is popular for its food, ambiance and vibe. This place is too new to draw a fanbase. Give it some time. Then I remembered (once I calmed down) that this place is a bar first. Not a restaurant. You walk into a small room and see the bright lights, the comfy couch set up front to the left, and the beer list on the wall to the right. People sit at the bar to drink, not to savor a juicy burger. Lesson learned. I will try again in the future. The business has a Facebook page and when it advertises a meal deal for dinner, I'll be all over that like flies on feces. Maybe a weekend visit would be more appropriate.

The Loverlist was really good, and the Unicorn Fluff and Old Fashioned were fine. The bartender was quick to talk up their whiskey selection, but when we asked for a recommendation, she mostly gave reasons why she couldn't recommend anything and just kept saying they had "over 90 different options." Without a whiskey menu to look through, that wasn't especially helpful. We also asked for a shooter and were offered half of a cocktail instead. That would've been totally fine on its own, but combined with everything else, the service just never felt welcoming. We ended up leaving pretty quickly. I'd give the place another shot because the atmosphere is fun and has a lot of potential, but hopefully with a different bartender behind the bar.

Came across this video online and i'm finally they at least exposed their staff for being total creeps and disrespectful as fuck. That's no way to talk to another person that wasn't even affecting them directly and much less to a woman using those derogatory terms. The fact that the owners think that a sorry af note on their iphone is going to calm people down while they continue to employ those misogynistic men only shows that the culture of mistreating woman in this establishment is still present while i myself have been a victim of bad treatment by these people. I stumbled into this unique bar specializing in whiskey and donuts but it stumbled in execution. The highlight of the bar is its claim to fame of a diverse selection of whiskey from various countries but the donuts were as stale as my jokes. While the whiskey may be a saving grace for some, it is not enough to make up for the shortcomings in the food and slow service. The bartenders were hit or miss with their knowledge of whiskey and drink recommendations. Take my recommendation instead and stay for a foreign whiskey and get your late night donut fix down the street. read more

This place is the best of two indulgent worlds! I'm not savvy when it comes to whisky but I've tried a few (a double chocolate bourbon and the Rock & Rye) based on recommendations and was not led astray. The doughnuts are delicious (and dense) and they have something that will satisfy every type of sweet tooth. I also like the savory options. I highly recommend the spicy deviled eggs also.
