Hope everyone buys as much hand soap and sanitizer as I do -- Bath & Body often keeps me stocked on my smell-good-stuff and fancier soaps, and I look forward to them re-opening their storefronts so I can browse spring releases. Of course I usually just buy the same products in my fave tried and true fragrances: Eucalyptus Spearmint Brown Sugar & Fig Warm Vanilla Sugar White Citrus Mediterranean Bergamot I mostly buy body lotion, kitchen soap, and candles. I keep forgetting about this location but, thought I'd give it a spin after leaving Rack Room. For some reason, this location seems a bit sub-par to some of their other locations. I frequent the Glade Parks location and they seem to have a larger space, with more choices. Also, the level of energy is different as well, I felt like I repeated, "no, I'm just looking", several times. Here, I felt like I was being hounded. Wonderful smelly hand soap. I love this place great for a quick gift for someone or yourself. They seem to always have sales. That is the best time to buy the soap when you get them half off. They also have good room fresheners. And anything you need for your skin. The place always smells nice when I walk in makes you want to buy everything. The staff are very helpful. They will even pick you out a gift if you are not sure what to get. Nice store in Lincoln Square. check them out someday. read more

It hurts me to give a one star rating to this BBW. I have been coming here for years and have spent thousands of dollars. I have always loved this location for the staff and location close to my house. I knew most of the managers and staff. I frequented so much that they knew my name and what scents I loved. This was my dream location!! My visit today tells me that there is trouble on the horizon. I walked in and the store was an absolute disaster. Carts and empty boxes everywhere, product laying everywhere... I was amazed because it has NEVER looked like this. I started checking out and was told that half of my candles were not on promotion. Not surprising be causing they were scattered everywhere. Then she proceeds to tell me that two of the candles that I purchased are not supposed to have lids. I found them on the shelf with lids, so how was I supposed to know? She refused to sell them to me unless I removed the lids. I was so surprised that they were going to lose a sale over two lids. I spent over $100 - I mean, how much is a lid? I asked one of the team members on my way out of Rosie was still the manager. He told said no, and pointed to another individual that also have us bad service. I have been in management for years, and you can certainly tell when a management change happens ... Especially for the worse. My advice to BBW, find a new manager ASAP! Some of my close "candle buddies" have also noticed a big change in that store. I love me some Bath & Body Works! I had the intention of shopping at Claire's, only to find that unfortunately they had closed. Then I saw Bath & Body Works right across, so I just stopped here. It's the usual of how B&BW stores get, but less crowded than the B&BW stores in the mall. The workers are also always super friendly! read more

I had also gone to Lincoln Square to stop by Claire's, but noticed that they had shut down. I then decided to go over to Bath and Body Works, and I am so glad I did. I had always really liked this particular location because it is not near as busy, and the staff has always been super nice. I had the opportunity to be helped by Arsenio, and I can easily say he is quite possibly one of the nicest employees I have ever met. He was very personable and he treated me like an old friend. I really enjoyed going there, and I will only shop at that particular location from now on. Best one hands down with the best service. :) read more

Dear Bath, and Body Works I was eating at a restaurant in Lincoln Square with my sister when we noticed a Bath and Body Works nearby. We had heard about the awesome sale taking place and while the husbands finished their beers, decided we would stop by the store "real quick" to pick up a few items. Little did we know, we ended up waiting in line FOR AN ENTIRE HOUR, only to leave the store completely empty handed wihout so much as an apology. When we arrived, the line was a bit long but we knew it was a great deal and thought it would be worth it to stay. 20 minutes pass and the line does not move an inch- because we had already waited so long, we decided to try and stick it out. Based solely off observation and context clues (no staff bothered to update customers on what was going on we were just standing around like fools), we learn that the Bath and Body Works systems and servers are down, making each transaction take approximately 10-15 minutes to process. STILL- we wait because heck it had already been half an hour. The staff did not bother to explain or let the long line know what was going on. 20 minutes turn into 30, then 40, EVEN 50 minutes go by and we're FINALLY up to the register. (Please note we waited ever so patiently without complaint- we get it, these things happen!) HOWEVER, what really disappointed me is that when we get to the register to pay for the items we waited an hour for, the credit card machine is not processing any payments. We try several cards and different machines, yet nothing works. The cashier just stares at us and asks if we have cash- I inquire about an ATM only to be told "oh well we're already closed" SERIOUSLY???? After waiting literally an hour in line-- the cashier didn't even bother to apologize or accomodate us whatsoever. We left the store angry and empty-handed!! I get that these things happen, but as a customer I feel as though we should have at least been compensated for our time with a gift card or even just simply allowing us to walk next door and grab some quick cash. Is that so much to ask? I had NO CLUE this little location was tucked away here. So close to where I live! I decided to visit on the night of Black Friday (I know, I'm insane). I was pleasantly surprised. The store was super busy but it was well organized. Every single employee I encountered was more than willing to help & friendly. My cashier, I believe her name was Alyssa, was such a sweetheart. I understand the perils of working in retail on black Friday and she was so sweet and just helpful. Never had any problems at this location I love that it's not in a mall where I can get it and get out I usually go when they first open up that's the best time to go to any store in my opinion you avoid crowds & shoulder to shoulder shopping and you can actually browse without folks in the way... everything is always fully stocked and neat looking the associates are friendly and don't try to over kill a sale to you like the other location in the highlands area parking is pretty open but only a few spots right at the door otherwise there parking in the outer space you can always catch a sale or look up coupons online to get more bang for your buck =) read more
