However......we found out after waiting around that the face painting wasn't coming, the petting animals never showed and Snowie King wasn't open. Big bummer! My little was sad....but we did get a fun balloon! They do have a large variety of pumpkins. All sizes and colors go pick from! And lots of photo ops.

I haven't been inside a Kohl's for many years, and sadly after this visit, I won't be coming back for a long time either. My review here is for the Sephora INSIDE the Kohl's. There was something specific that I wanted and it showed online that they had it in stock at this store. This store is about 40 minutes from our house, so I wanted to call them first and confirm before we made the drive over. I also had a Sephora return and I wanted to confirm that I could do a return there even though I bought the item at Folsom Sephora. I called their phone number for about 4 hours, about 10 different times. Each time, the electronic voice operator greeted me, gave me options for which department (Sephora), transferred me once I made my choice, and it rang and rang and rang. EACH TIME. They never answered the phone and I was not able to crack the code to get a human being. It gave me the option to press 4 for a Sephora representative. NEVER answered the phone. I kept thinking - they must be super busy!!! So, unfortunately, we drove over there wasting gas and time.... Come to find that they DID NOT in fact have the item in stock as shown on their website. The employees could not care less. They were kind of snappy with me. "I guess there is an inaccuracy on our website" they said about the item I wanted. Also, I learned that you cannot return items there unless they were bought at another Kohls/Sephora combo. (lesson learned) There were 4-5 Sephora employees and zero customers. I thought it was odd that they never answered the phone. The employees told me that right now the Sephora there doesn't have a phone. So I'm thinking why does the phone system keep saying I'm being transferred? I talked to the store manager on my way out and he says "Yeah, we got a new phone system and none of the phones work now." That's it.....their phones don't work AT ALL. This is such horrible customer service that I can't almost believe it. There is nothing that tells the customer that you will never have your call answered. And their in stock system doesn't work either. I will not return to this store. I am a huge Sephora fan in general and I hope they will take my comments to heart.

I also needed to find the right shade of concealer/foundation. Shaei helped me and gave me a sample to try. She recommended some other products, too. I'll definitely be back. Sunday, May 17th, I found myself in downtown Auburn, after visiting old town"s vintage and antique pop-up. I walked into the store and thought-wow great merchandising! I walked around for a bit and thought what a great store. It did not seem that there were any employees there. I walked the length of the store (about 5 minutes) and found that there was a young woman at the counter. This person did not greet me, or acknowledge me in any way. They saw me, and obviously heard the click of my boots on the tile floor, they then looked me and went back to clipping their toenails(?) I asked if this was their store. They said "What?" I repeated my question, and they said "no." and I said "It shows because you did not welcome your customers." And she proceeded to say "You are welcome to leave!" And I did. There were three things I would've purchased, (their prices are pretty good), but not on that day and not with that person behind the cash register. I spoke to another shop owner in town and they mentioned that they were saddened by my interaction because apparently the owner is a very customer friendly person. It's on Lincoln Street in the heart of Downtown. Street parking or a lot up the hill. It's the cutest shop!! Think brick walls, and lots of character and built in shelves.... Treasures both old and new. A great collection of vintage pieces and vintage feeling pieces. I was happy they were in Fall mode instead of already having everything Christmas out. It was beautiful and warm for autumn. They have classes and I hope to take one. There was a selection of paper ephemera for crafting, home decor, fragrances and more. Definitely worth a visit. Can't wait to go back!

I wasn't sure what shop she meant, but when I started down the sidewalk and saw Wildflower, I knew this was the shop she had in mind. Lots of fun, cheerful decorations in the window. I was positive THIS was the shop. Probably more than anything else, Wildflower specializes in greeting cards. The owner explained that people come from miles around to check out their excellent selection. Naturally, they have a ton more gift items, including figurines as well as candles. My wife also likes the little crow figurines they have near the counter. So all-in-all, a pleasant place to visit. Really nice people with a fun selection of products. Uh oh, my wife just texted me that she needs more time. Oh well, back to the brewery.

Are all Costco's created equally?!…read more I have no idea, but I am constantly exploring new ones when I find them, and this Costco location in Loomis, California is my latest discovery. They've been open for almost a year, and it's taken me literally this long to check it out. This one just feels different and quite frankly I don't know that I can put my finger on it. Maybe it's the way the entrance and exit doors are situated, maybe it's the displays, maybe it's that still fresh feeling... I don't know but I can tell you I like it! This warehouse is incredibly well stocked, and I was able to find items here that I literally cannot and have not ever found or seen in the other warehouses that I shop at. The meat department is glorious! So many different cuts of meat, fish, poultry, I even found ground chicken packaged by Mary's. Mary's is more local to California and has a great reputation for quality poultry. The produce section was a little low, but it's also that time of year when California just doesn't have a lot of produce. Spring is just around the corner... As I perused up and down different aisles, putting more in my grocery cart than I had originally bargained for, it was almost like a treasure hunt, and I've loved every moment of it! If you live in the Sacramento area, where you happen to be driving through or near Roseville, which is just adjacent, shopping here is a great experience. Parking was easy! Yes, you read that correctly. Parking was not a problem. Finding a shopping cart was not a problem. The checkout lines, definitely were not a problem. The cashier was super sweet on top of it. I…read moreneeded purchasing eggs: I noted eighteen Heirloom eggs selling for $7.87, the twenty-four pack of organic eggs selling for about the same as the Heirloom eggs then, the typical eggs which I never buy nor bother noticing the selling price. What is prominently noted in my brain: Loomis Costco is the ONLY Costco selling the Heirloom Eggs! Will someone PLEASE explain WHY all the Costcos I have shopped never have the items I want and need at the Folsom Costco, eh?
