This review isnt about the products being sold at this location but about the employees! I've went to this location in Steele Creek multiple times because it is close to where I live and have had alot of poor experiences. From being greeted as a paying customer, being asked if I needed any help, and standing in line BY MYSELF without out being acknowledged to checkout while 2 employees have a casual conversation. Gentleman finally checks me out and doesn't wish me a good day or anything! just continues his conversation talking about another co worker. Smh I've been a rewards member for years and have spent lots of money at bath and body works to be treated like yesterdays trash is unacceptable! Do better. read more

I spend THOUSANDS of dollars at B&BW & this is the first store that I've EVER walked in to and was not greeted! Went the counter to pick up my order, wasn't greeted! Got my 30 Wallflowers and they were all just thrown in a bag! They are GLASS!!! They should have been WRAPPED like every other B&BW store I've been to around the US! Spoke to the Manager and she's standing there looking STUPID saying "okay, okay"! Then offered to wrap them! HELL NO I'm staying another 10 mins waiting for them to be wrapped when they should have been wrapped to begin with! If the MANAGER doesn't greet you when you walk in who was standing right at the door I guess it makes sense that nothing else will be right!!! B&BW RiverGate get it together!!! I have been to the store on some of their busiest days, including the big candle sale& semi annual sale. I have bought items, Exchanged items, bought gift cards, and asked several questions. Every single employee at the store has been kind to me, including when I waited outside the day after Christmas. The employee running the line was talkative, and I know she had a smile even under the mask. All employees were wearing their mask over their mouth and nose (bonus points)! When I walk into the store almost every time the same lady greets me and explains in detail where what I am looking for is and what I should do for my exchange.I go back in to buy gift cards from my loved ones, on the customer experience alone. read more

Love the store and location. They were out of one of my favorite scents only once. Very friendly customer service.

While I like most of their products and usually have great help, today was a different story. I picked up a couple plug ins in November and 1 was tagged incorrectly and I didn't care for the other one. It's been years since I've had to replace one so I'm not sure if policy has changed or the cashier was having a bad day but, one was used so I couldn't return it (ok fine, it was used for a week) and the other one (cocoa) wasn't in stock & I didn't have my receipt (they have to have a barcode which I understand to a degree ) so I couldn't return it either. This was only $6 worth of product but the cashier didn't offer any solutions (really they can't find the barcode anywhere??) could it have been found on their website? She really acted like I was a bother. I even told the lady behind me that she could go while we were trying to sort this out. The one saving grace was the employee stocking shelves dug thru many bins trying to find the barcode. I will work on switching brands. read more

Got a coupon in my email for a certain 3 wick candle on sale for $10 today only. I went incredibly out of my way to go to the store to take advantage of this deal since their candles are ridiculously expensive otherwise. Got to the checkout and the cashier says that the email was "an error" and they can't honor them. I asked for the manager and she was like "yeah sorry, corporate accidentally sent those out. Can't honor it" and just refused to accommodate a coupon that THEY sent. Very poor customer service, will never shop here again. Plenty of other places to buy candles! read more

Okay. This place is awesome! It is located in the Steel Creek area of Charlotte, in a high end retail plaza. I love the way the building and landscaping are set up. You can easily walk around as if it's an inside out mall. Enough about that.....back to this store in particular. This Bath and Body Works has one entrance (unlike some with two entrances). They have created beautiful displays to reflect the current season. Their staff are friendly and helpful. The store is clean and pleasant to walk around in. Sign up for their emails and you will receive some GREAT coupons. I used a 20% off the entire bill coupon when I went yesterday. Plus, they throw in some hard coupons in your bad at checkout. The products are great too. Don't ever pay full price here because something is always on sale. They mass produce the heck out of these things, so there is a high markup for the full price products. Use one of your email coupons to get the price down. Oh, and you can only use one coupon per transaction. So if you want to use more than one, you may want to pay for everything in a couple of separate transactions. Work all that out in your head before you get to the front of the line. there's nothing more annoying than standing behind someone who can't figure out how they want to use their coupons. I'm already a fan of this store. But one of my favorite times to shop at Bath and Body Works is during the Semi Annual Sale!!!! It's just my opinion, but this has to be one of the best semi annual sales around. Not only can you use any coupons you have in addition to the already discounted prices. But the entire store is anywhere from 25% to 75% off all their regular products (lotions, body sprays, hand soaps, candles, etc). And if all of that is not good enough, the absolute best part is that they bring back some of the discontinued fragrances. So instead of ordering it online at full price and paying for shipping you can scoop them up here most of the time for 75% off. I liked this store. It's tucked away in the corner of the RiverGate shopping center but it's pretty big and has lots of variety and products. When I stopped in there were not very many other customers so I was able to browse around and take my time. What I really like about the customer service here is that they are very friendly but not pushy. They are helpful, and offer suggestions but don't force other products on you. Needless to say, I found what I was looking for and so much more...to very full bags later I was out the door. It was so easy. Definitely putting this store in my regular rotation for future BBW shopping. read more

Well I must say after being in the store for 15 min, 2 other customers and three employees-I was never greeted which was totally fine. However just moving into the areas and excited having a BB&Bodyworks close I was excited! I couldn't find a couple things I was looking for and had to approach someone-she did assist me with my question. Then as I saw and heard her say to other customers " if you need anything, my name is Denise". I didn't get that. So upon check out I was asked if anybody assist me and I said not really because I had to approach for my question that I had and I don't want to give credit where credit is not due. I love Bath and Body Works... they have some of the BEST seasonal candles and their hand soaps are to die for. Those are just my personal favorites. However I wanted to review this store in particular. I've never really had a bad experience at a Bath and Body works store, I don't know what it is about this company but apparently they are good to work for as everyone is nice. This particular location however has been the best store to shop at. Every time I come in regardless of who is working or if they remember me or not they are always upbeat, nice, beyond helpful, and basically make you feel like you're shopping with one of your best friends. My bank account probably isn't thrilled by this as it just makes me want to continue shopping and spending but I appreciate the level of pure niceness (real not faked) that these employees exude. They never shy away from answering my questions and give me truthful answers. This past weekend I went to check out the fall fragrances and one of the women working there went out of her way to help me out and it was so greatly appreciated!!
