As someone who has problems with broken toe nails I only come here now because when my big toe nail breaks I have them sculpt it back to the perfect shape with dip powder. No matter which staff does my toes I always have a great experience. I had my nails done here also for graduation and they looked just like the picture! They offer sparkling water and wine to provide a relaxing vibe and the massage chairs are always a plus. I've had nothing but great experiences here since switching about 2 years ago. read more

I used to LOVE this nail salon, but they do not honor appointment times. The last few times I've had confirmed appointments and waited 20+ minutes with no service or acknowledgement. Today I walked out 30 minutes after my appointment and being ignored. I'll never return and don't recommend this business. We were greeted upon entry! The salon is open, clean and inviting! The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent! My Grandmother had a stroke several years ago, her nails grow really long and due to her not being able to fully open her hands it's hard to maintain them! Emily took great care with my grandmother! Everything about this place was a 10/10.Coming from miami I expect a lot but honestly this exceeded my expectations. I came on the second Sunday of their new availability and wow was I impressed. John took great care of me and my eyebrows. I expressed how nervous i was because i always get my eyebrows threaded because of a bad experience getting them waxed a few years ago but wow wow wow do i love my brows. I've been back multiple times since and I've continually had great manicures/pedicures. The staff is super nice and attentive and the space is really nice and beautiful. I enjoy coming here. The new owners are nice and friendly . They interact with their customers. The younger ladies do a good job. If you have any concern , they have no problem fixing it for you . The prices are reasonable and comparable to the others in the area. They are clean and always have the food network on which I love. Sometimes they offer you a drink (water, soda or wine) and others times not. I think they get busy and forget that part but you can always ask for something. The place looks like a Standard nail salon. My technician was efficient if anything. He did one pump foam soap from the sink, tossed in some marbles and pour COLD water. My hands were in the bowl for maybe one minute before he took them out and started working on them. He did an average job on my nails, and then a 10 second massage. My eyebrows were done horrible. I told the lady doing them I wanted them cleaned up. She left behind a TON of hair, and it looked shapeless and unclean. People were nice, but this place didn't hit the mark for me. read more

I was recommended this place from a friend, so I chose a Wednesday evening for a walk-in, just me and my cousin. Got dip powder for me and a pedicure for my cousin. Was told that it'll be about 10 minutes before I can get seated. Exactly 10 minutes later, I was seated. The nail-tech lady that did my dip powder was very knowledgeable and was very friendly. She knew exactly what she was doing and my nails looked great! Didn't hurt me and was very diligent in making sure my nails are perfect. The pricing for dippowder is only $33! That beats out so many other nail salons I've been to. Adding tips was only $5 more. I still find it worth it over any other places that usually charges me $45-$55! Everyone is so friendly here (I've heard that this place has a new owner not too long ago) and the place is very clean. I'm glad I came in and it's close to where I live! I will definitely be back! My only advice for anyone who's looking to come in is to call in to ask about waiting time. They do get many clients for walk-ins at once. (: read more

Not my usual nail salon but was the closest one to my house. Ive gone to this salon many times before and although not my favorite nail place, my nails have usually turned out okay... until today. After I checked in, the manicurist looked very let down when I told her that I was there for a regular manicure and not a gel manicure as she suggested. This place is clean, but I'm disappointed in how my nails turned out. The polish doesn't go to the edges of my nail bed. When I saw how messy the polish looked I kindly pointed it out to her. So she "fixed" it for me. See pictures. These pictures were taken as soon as I got out to my car right after she fixed my manicure. She is an experienced manicurist, as shes been at this location for many years. Staff is not friendly but not mean either. I think the lady doing manicure said a totally of 6 words to me the whole time. No eye contact. Plus side was that there was no wait on a Friday afternoon, now I know why. I sadly stopped going to this salon over a year ago now because the nail tech ruined my nails. I always got SNS and this time the tech who I always see filled my nails down so much they were excruciatingly painful without even touching them that was even with an sns coat on top. My nails, over a year later, are still ruined despite my efforts to heal them. The tech was too busy hitting on me to pay attention to the job he was doing. For perspective, he offered to massage my hands with lotion as usual. I declined but he did anyways. Instead of stopping the hand massage at my wrists he proceeded to massage all the way up my arm while I was trying to pull away and touched my armpit. Just bizarre. read more

I usually go to another place for my pedicures but went here due to timing. I know someone else who goes here and wanted to try it out. I went late on a Friday as a walk-in. I had to wait for a few minutes in the waiting area and then a little longer in the chair. Things I liked: they use the shower cap things for the pedicure basin and the pedicure tools were sealed. Also, they have TVs which was great because I forgot my usual methods of entertainment. There were a few things that left me unsatisfied. They offer complimentary drinks during service but my nail tech never offered me one. I asked for one and received it with no problem but I didn't know what all the options were and would have requested something else if I'd known. The nail colors aren't out for you to choose and it did not appear that they had a ton of nail color options. I wasn't able to get the style I wanted because they didn't have one of the colors. Lastly, they offer different pricing. I selected the slightly more expensive option that included lotion and a massage. However, I would have gone with the cheapest package because I could have done without the massage. Would I go back? Probably not since I have a place that I like. However, if the circumstances worked out, I might try again. read more

Was my first visit to this salon for a pedicure. Overall I enjoyed my pedicure. They used hot stones and gave a great massage. I took a star off because I got gel done on my toes and the polish is all bumpy and she filed my nails after the gel was already on. It was also applied a little messy where I had polish on my cuticles and around my toes a little bit. Not sure how long it will last. Great prices for the area with a mani and pedi deal being $40. It was $50 for gel toes with the delux pedi. Great staff! Depending on how long my pedicure lasts will determine if I return again. So my gel pedicure only lasted barely 3 weeks. read more

I had just moved to Charlotte and needed to find a place to take off my shellac and pamper myself with a pedicure. I saw a special for mani and pedi for $35 and thought, okay. Boy, was I in for a disappointment! The person who attended me was older.... And I just had an inkling that I would not get a good mani/pedi. First, she did my toe nails, which was not so bad (from where I was sitting). I didn't know I had to bring my own set of supplies, which she charged me for. I had shellac done previously and needed it removed. The lady had actually used a rough nail filer to rid of the shellac, and it was painful :( ! I was kind enough to tell her that my friend had told me a remedy to remove it with cotton ball soaked in acetone and wrapped with foil paper (and mind you, I spoke in my broken Vietnamese - so I KNOW she understood me). But she just nodded and proceeded to file away. I was furious inside and I was shocked she just ignored my comment. My husband was with me and had to wait ahead of time. After my mani was filed away, she asked me promptly to pay, BEFORE I had gotten my nail polish painted on. I told her that my husband will pay for it and he waited until I was done. I thought to myself, how.... weird and rude. So after I had paid for our services, I came home to find what I had been preparing myself for. The elder lady did a terrible job on my nails. There were spaces between the cuticle and nail polish on both feet and hands AND you could see part of the indentions in the nails that she scrubbed hard on! My poor nails :( I knew my fingernails needed a long time to heal.. This happened last year, and I have been jaded in going to any nail salons, til this year. I wanted to love the place. It's cozy, well-decorated, quiet and comfortable. The staff are almost too quiet. They aren't very welcoming. The lady that did my pedicure didn't really seem to pay to much attention to what she was doing. She didn't do a horrible job on my nails, but she didn't do a good job buffing them. I'm not sure why she even used the exfoliant on my legs as she kind of patted it on, a few quick swipes & took it off. Sort of the same with the lotion so I didn't get to relax as I wanted to. She did ok with my polish. I went here because the other nail place in the same shopping center had a wait & this place didn't. I think I know why. They also make you buy your emery board & buffer ($1.00) to bring back with you. It was only $21 (w/the emery board & buffer), so not horrible for the price. read more

I'm thoroughly disappointed in the experience I just had here. I've been going here since I was in high school and I've always had a great experience with the service I've received from them. I decided to try SNS for the first time today instead of my usual gel and acrylics. The tech I had was male and from before I even sat down was rushing me. My girlfriend and I were talking about what colors we should get and he kept interjecting pushing the first color he saw towards me to hurry me up. Then the male tech proceeded to ask me what shape I wanted, I told him that I wanted to keep the length and just shape them up and he seemed to understand. The whole experience seemed rushed and honestly he didn't seem to know what he was doing or care, which is pretty disappointing consider getting your nails done is not cheap. The experience left me with nails that are not the color I picked, not the shape/length I asked for, and crooked. I've been a customer of theirs for 8 years now and I don't think I'll be back for awhile. I'm so upset because I do like all the ladies there and I've so enjoyed going there for years, but I'm not paying for nails like this again. read more

I like the convenient location of Creative Nails & Tan since I'm always in the area. The service here is pretty quick and I've never had to wait to be seated. Their prices are about average. You can get a mani/pedi for $30 which seems reasonable to me. They have around 8 pedi chairs and just a few manicure tables. Their facility seems very clean. The language barrier kind of prevents the full royal treatment but they're always friendly and accomodating. I stopped in on Friday for a pedicure. As soon as I walked in they got my chair ready and sat me down. The lady who did my toes did a good job and they looked great when she was finished. We messed up my big toe a little when we were putting on my flip flops but she repaired it right away and it looked good as new. While this might not be my top recommendation for a girls day spa treatment, it's definitely a decent place to go if you need a quick spruce up. read more

I prefer this nail salon to Polished for a number of reasons... I never feel rushed during my service, whereas at Polished I feel like I'm being pushed out the door before my polish has even dried. Some of the nail techs are definitely more experienced than others and take their time. However, if I've ever had an issue with my shellac or polish, they've been quick to fix it for me. I once had my shellac start to peel after 2 days, I went back in and they redid my manicure at no cost. Since that experience I've not had any issues with my shellac. read more

Applied gel polish against the cuticle. Callous removal was ineffective/nonexistent (just light rubbing with a pumice stone). Not worth the $50 charged. I did SNS for the first time and was grossed out when my nails were dipped directly into the jars they use on everyone. The sanitary way that it is supposed to be done is either pouring the powder directly onto the nail or into a desperate container. They did an okay job. read more

I've been coming here for years for various services. I've had a tanning membership before and I've also gotten eyebrow/lip waxing, manicures, and pedicures. It's in a good location but there's never a lot of parking available. I usually don't have to wait to be seen. The ladies have always done a nice job with my waxing and they are quick with it. I've always been very happy with my toenails. The one thing I don't like about this place is that you have to buy a nail file and a scrub brush for a $1. You can bring it back on your next visit but let's be honest, who remembers to bring it back? So every time I go, I have to spend another $1. It's a small salon and a little cramped. There's nothing special about it but I wouldn't say there's anything bad about it either. They have tons of tanning beds though if you are into tanning. I believe they also have student discounts available. There's lots of nail places in the area and this is my go to for eyebrow waxing and pedicures. read more
