I understand that the name has been changed from Sally's to Sally's Beauty Supply to invite customers who may be in need of a broader base of hair, makeup, nail polishes and tools, dryers, combs, etc. to cover a larger gamut of supplies that may be needed for women. They even offer an extended product line for men, that I wasn't aware they had. So, if men are looking for a wider range of professional hair products, manicure equipment and the like than they would find in a typical department store, they can be found here. All of their products are professional grade and the staff are super friendly, answer all your questions and are very helpful. My wife had been looking for a good, quality, professional set of hair curlers and with the help of the staff, found them. It was nice to know that if they didn't prove to be helpful, she could bring them back for an exchange or full refund. While we were there, a husband and wife, two of my ESL students, came into the store. They spoke Portuguese and very little English. They and the staff helping them were initially frustrated trying to communicate what she wanted for herself. My friends were trying to let the staff understand what they needed by repeatedly typing into their smartphone for an English translation. But, when using a device for translation, you really need to have a pretty good idea of what you are wanting to say. She wanted something for her thinning hair to prevent it from breaking and falling out. That message is hard to translate. As hard as the staff was trying to get the idea, it just wasn't happening. I was glad to be in the store and notice the problem. With the little bit of Portuguese that I know, I was able to ease the frustration and help the staff understand what they wanted to buy. Although, with as much patience and effort (gestures, broken English, etc.,) they would have been able to understand what was needed. I applaud the helpfulness, and willingness of Sally's Beauty Supply to patiently go the extra mile to assist their customers.

The staff is diverse, so I appreciate product knowledge and personal hair care experience that employees are able to share. I've never had a bad customer service experience in the many years that I've shopped here. I also shop here because this location has the largest selection of gray (salt/pepper) hair products. My exact hair color is difficult to find at other supply stores. Like most large beauty supply stores, they carry a variety of hair, wigs, makeup, jewelry, purses, and hair products but it's the great customer service that separates them from the rest.

Bought a bunch of little candles for future gifts and feel good about paying less than $5 each because even though you can get larger candles for that same price, Yankee's quality is top notch and I do also love the jars they come in! I also love that the jars can be re-used b/c the stickers just peel right off, which is nice. Then I can just have a sleek un-named candle that looks a little more simple and modern. I don't go to the mall barely ever, but I will usually try to stop in here when I can to see if there's anything on sale!

Yes the candles are glass so easy to recycle, but many are paraffin wax which is icky for the environment and burns pretty dirty. I was able to find a small number that was very eco (recycled glass, soy coconut blend, and cork tops), but there were only like 5 scents. Always fun to smell all the great options and get some nice gifts for family.

I asked for a recommendation on a moisturizer, and she asked if I ever did a facial scan. Wait, what? She scanned my face in 3 different areas that took some images that were zoomed in. It said I needed hydration, and the other areas were moderate, such as pores. She made a recommendation on a moisturizer, and I was so excited. Exactly what I wanted, and I would have never found it or just stuck to my same old routine. Clearly, that wasn't working. It was right in my price point, and I didn't feel like I was spending hundreds on a lotion for my face. She also made some other recommendations on my lip pencil I was looking for and mascara. She made another recommendation on a facial wash, but that was out of the price range I was willing to spend but absolutely wanted it. She noted it on my profile in case I come back for it. The store was organized and amazing and helpful staff everywhere. My only issue is that the isles are so tight that more than 2 people become crowded. Oyin products are my personal saves right now, and it's so nice to be able to go in and just pull them off the shelf rather than ordering them online. The music selections were on point, and all of the people working there were super friendly and nice to talk to. Plus, they're very interested in feedback, which is always a good look for a new business.
