I tried both for subtle looks and found them both impressive. I was working a job promoting a MAC product, matte powder kiss lipstick. You never know what to expect. Will they be warm and inviting, will the makeup be true to who I am, will the artist be diverse. Well, I got my answer and it was yes to everything! The store was lively, centrally located, and it was a party inside. From the moment I walked in, I felt at home. Of course, I was greeted and not ignored. I allowed them to use my face as a canvas and be creative. The makeup artist each day was fast and pretty accurate. I was there 3 days. They matched my foundation pretty close to my skintone. I also learned my foundation number. For now, makeup is done complimentary, so stop by either of the two. If you going out on town, attending an event, or even just going to work - allow them to get you together. I like more natural, so it was spot on.

She scheduled me to come back at 1:00pm. When I came back, I was paired with Lydia. She was super sweet and knew what she was doing. The staff there is very pleasant, joking , laughing and attentive to everyone that walks in. Lydia did a awesome job on my face. Whenever I'm in the area, I will be sure to visit them again.

It's just too expensive…read more Maybe if it was 15 years ago when it was harder to find Anthropolgie-y kinda stuff, but now you can find similar items all over the place for a much lower price. It's still enjoyable to explore this space; you'll find cool artsy installations, pretty seasonal stuff, and the latest trendy clothes in flowing glittering fabrics. Plus they've always got cutesy, vintage-y kitchenware and home decor. After you look at $200 price tags on dresses and sweater and boots for 20 minutes those $40 candles don't seem SO expensive. The staff here is very friendly and involved. I was quickly approached and asked if I wa looking for anything in particular. I was brought options and ideas without asking. I was well taken care of. If you don't want attentive help, make sure to say you're just browsing from the start! I bought a pair of earrings and a flowy sheer dress on my last visit. The dress had a couple little holes in the shoulders so I was given a 15% discount, which I really appreciated. The holes can certainly be stitched with a needle and thread, but it was nice to get a little deal. Even if you don't wanna buy anything, come stroll around next time you need a little aesthetic pick-me-up.

I never learned makeup well and wanted someone to help me pick colors and show me how to best apply for myself. I called and they said "Sure, come on in honey, we got ya!" So you can imagine how crushed I was when it went sideways. Arriving dressed nice and ready to spend a pretty penny..... THIS happened: The young lady wanted to put reddish GLITTER eyeshadow on me... um... I'm halfway to 60. I pointed to another color and quietly said this might be more age appropriate, although I then asked if this other color would be good with my skin tone. She said "I guess." I asked if some other colors would be better with my complexion. She said, "Whatever you want." I felt I had been polite about the glitter, so she shouldn't have felt testy? I asked how to apply it. She said, "Just put it on." I asked well I see some people have a darker one in the crease... and she said, "You can if you want." I asked what color might be best for that and got "I don't know, whatever you like." Ok how was this helpful? She found the perfection foundation for me. I love it. I have since purchased it online. Then she said "Is that all?" When I arrived, I had mentioned foundation, blush, lipstick, eye shadow. Did she have the attention span of a worm? She started putting brown pencil eyebrow lines on my black eyebrows. Even I knew that was bad. I got home and showed my best friend who said words I cannot put in this review. But it basically added up to "How does this lady have a job?" I got up and asked the lady at the register if there was someone else who could help me. She became extremely agitated and started practically yelling about how they are not allowed to touch people because of Covid. She was going on and on... so much in a panic that she did not realize I said that I didn't ask for anyone to touch me. I just wanted someone to show me how to apply makeup. "We can't touch you!!!!" I asked for just someone to show me... "You have to go to a makeup place like for a wedding where they will touch you!!!!" Again, she didn't realize I repeated that I didn't ask to be touched. She said "Go to Ulta!" Lady, believe me, I had set aside a lot of money for makeup and someone else got it all. I was tempted to walk by with bags like the lady in Pretty Woman and say "Big Mistake! Big big Mistake!" $$$$$$$$$ I love my new "look" and makeup, I love the folks ELSEWHERE who helped me feel pretty, I love the fact that there is no glitter in sight. This store is weird.
