Hands down my favorite Sephora interaction. I'm out of town and had to pick up a few things and went to this location as we're staying in fort worth. Kaitlyn jumped in asked me what I needed help with, she walked me to a few different spots and recommended me products which I all love btw and boom! In the past, at other locations I've had people bounce me from one person to another on the floor with minimal to no help. Totally different experience this time. When it was time to check out, all the counters were busy but someone came along and checked me out away from the crowd with a little portable card reader thingy!! I was in and out in less than ten minutes and I had spent $130 and I was happy for it!! read more

Absolute horrible experience. "Ash" is one of the most rude people I have ever had the displeasure of having to interact with. I was not greeted. I was not helped. She is evidently a manager and was walking away from me when I was trying to find help. It was 30 minutes before closing and I had everything in my cart online already, only 5 items and I just needed help finding them. I drove to that location for a specific item that it specifically said was in stock. 35 minutes out of my way because it said it was in stock and could be ready for pick up. They did not have that product. The other 4 things I was looking for "Ash", supposedly the assistant manager, had no idea where any of them were. I found 2 items myself while she was asking every other employee where any of it was. Hiba, someone claiming to be a manager that "Ash" said wasn't specifically said she was a manager and had control over exchanges. I exchanged a few items I had purchased not even 28 hours prior and she opened and closely inspected every detail of them, yet when I was purchasing $200 worth of products, she literally threw and tossed them all in a Sephora bag right in front of me. I will not be surprised if my cream and powder blushes aren't broken with how she handled my items. This was the worst experience I have had in so long at a store. I am genuinely mind blown at how horribly I was treated and the lack of customer service. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

I usually have such a good experience here, but on the new year they closed earlier. I had no idea so I pulled up at 5:01 and they closed at 5 -- I had an online order so I thought the lady who was standing at the door could just grab it bc I wasn't shopping, but she said "uhm no, we're closed you can come back tomorrow at 10" which is fine, but she was so rude when she said it and then when others would come up to the door and she would ignore them and they had to walk away bc it was closed she would start dance at the front door, almost like she was happy they were closed. Probably needs a new job if she was that excited. Anyways, I'll go to the hulen location they're super sweet there. Very unprofessional. She continued to do it each customer even saw me watching her. The Sephora on Overton ridge is so much closer to me however I make the drive the university because the team members always make you feel welcomed and comfortable as you ask for recommendations or advice on any beauty concerns. Extremely unwelcoming and snobby staff. Right when I walked in I was looked up and down by the two employees at the door both of them with a smug look on their face. No "hello" or "welcome in". Mind you I'm in old workout clothes, a hat and no make up on. Was wandering around looking for a setting spray for about 5 minutes and no one offered to help and there was employees standing around everywhere but I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask for help because I felt judged immediately when I walked in. When I went to check out I said "hello" and she immediately snapped back with a harsh tone "put you phone number in" I replied that I didn't have one and she didn't say anything, rolled her eyes and seemed extremely annoyed with my presence. She handed me my bag I told her "Thank you have a good day" and she didn't say anything and just turned away from me. I laughed under my breath and said "ok!" and left. I came in literally in tears a couple of days before a wedding, worried that I would be the blotchy bridesmaid ruining all the pictures. I'm pretty surprised at the low star rating for this location. Nonetheless, I had a great experience and found the workers to be very helpful and friendly. I'm visiting the area from out of state and my skincare products were tragically damaged from my trip so I needed my products ASAP! The workers made sure to check to see if they had the products I needed (Laneige) and I was surprised to see their wide selection of products. I feel like other locations are hit or miss in carrying the Laneige line but this one had it all! They offered to give me samples (to last me for my weekend visit) which was very kind of them. I adore stand-alone, brick and mortar Sephoras. I feel like a kid in a candy store whenever I visit. There's no shortage of makeup, perfume, face, or hair products to try. Each time you visit you are allowed up to three samples. I've been here several times and the staff are typically polite and friendly. Some are hit or miss as far as their ability to match shades are concerned, but that's okay. Last time I visited I had a great visit. The makeup artist recommended I step outside with a mirror she supplied to check my foundation against my skin. Had I not done that I wouldn't have realized I was wearing the wrong shade! Cray! I also love the Sephora brand. So many affordable essentials from tools to makeup. They have the best travel size makeup items in the aisle as you wait to be checked out. My fav part of shopping at Sephora, in addition to the amazing selection, is the VIP beauty awards. You earn points for each dollar you spend and the points accumulate. When you reach certain thresholds you can redeem them for 100, 300, or 500 point rewards. And, you get a cute lil bday gift. Sephora = awesome. read more

Sephora is one of my mother ships, so when I needed to make a stop nearby, I of course, went here first, as sampling a new brow product superseded my need to have a wonky laptop checked out. I walked in and was almost immediately greeted by a friendly staffer, who offered me assistance, perfect! I just really wanted to sample the Kevyn Aucoin brow pencil, so I just beelined in that direction, and was disappointed that two samplers of the brunette colors were out completely. I went to find the friendly face that greeted me, but encountered two other staffers who just stared at me. Hmm... This immediately struck me as one of those dichotomous locations where some staff are friendly and others are wrapped up in their own conversations. Not the worst, not the best Sephora either. Batting .500 is great for a fantasy team, not the best for a Sephora though So the store is nicely organized, and offers a nice selection, but based on my first visit, I would come here again, but not with high expectations. Still a nice place to sample products, and I overheard a makeover at the studio, and the artist at the station was awesome. I still love this brand and will give it another shot. The beauty insider program has nice perks, so if you're not already a member and come here a lot, definitely recommended. I came to this location because it was close to my house. My intention was to try the Fenty foundation. The supposed makeup artist, Shelby pretended she knew what she was doing but knew nothing about color matching. She put me in a foundation that was for neutral undertones. We never tried it on my face she just swatched me on my hand. After getting home.... to my disappointment the makeup was awful and gray. Joanna you are a freaking makeup Goddess! I urged a friend to convert from MAC just once to have out makeup done for the Margarita Ball and this was the closest one to her. I deducted a star because the girl doing my friends makeup was not listening to her at all- we wanted full coverage, hard core drag dramatic make up, we even brought pictures. We had to have a coming to Jesus with her. With that said- my girl, Joanna was amazing. She's super adorable and really knows her makeup. I don't wear a lot of it, but I ended up buying almost everything she used on me. She educated me while she was doing my make up, explaining all the techniques and why she was doing it. Definitely request her, weather you want natural or drag. I really love the selection here. I shift back and forth from MAC only because MAC doesnt have glittery shadows. I popped in to check out the Joe Malone perfume and even though I was dressed like a bum that day, Megan so kindly greeted me, went out of her way to make sure that all my questions were answered. I went into Sephora today planning on spending at least $100 that I got for an early Christmas present. I was so excited to go because I finished all of my finals and was really excited to buy something to celebrate another semester of college finished. My car is in the shop, but I was so excited to go that I decided to walk the 2 miles from my college to buy some makeup. I have never encountered more rude people in my entire life than I did by the ladies who were working today. I was never greeted, never asked if I needed anything, and one lady even went out of her way to make me feel like they didn't want me there. After two incredibly rude encounter with the employees I left the store in tears without buying anything. Like most of the other reviewers, I have never had a good experience shopping at this Sephora location. After reading others' reviews and my most recent experience here, It seems as though if you don't belong to a certain demographic (middle aged white woman with a Louis on your arm), you will not get service here. It is crazy that this day and age this type of discrimination based on age, race, ethnicity and perceived socioeconomic class is still happening! Did your store associates not learn ANYTHING from Julia Roberts in pretty woman when she tried to go shopping and was snubbed by the snobby store associates? Are we going back 30 years in time to when people seriously acted like that? This store is straight out of that scene. I was not acknowledged when I entered the store, yet there were several associates around conversing amongst themselves. Ok, no biggie. When I needed a sample of a foundation, I approached an associate who was talking to another associate and said "Excuse me," to which she acted as though she didn't hear me though I was literally 3 feet from her. She turned her back and kept talking to the other associate. So I had to AGAIN say "Excuse me," only this time a lot louder so there was no way she didn't hear me. While waiting for the woman to get my samples, I then watched as another customer in the store was asking an associate for help finding an item. Apparently there was a language barrier, and the associate was very loud and rude about making sure everyone in the store knew that she couldn't understand what the customer was saying. I was humiliated for the poor girl. There is no excuse to treat people like this in any situation, ESPECIALLY when they are in your store spending hard earned money on these products to a company that pays YOUR salary. I have never been so repulsed by a shopping experience as I was here today. I hope someone higher up the chain of command over this location reads the feedback I provided on this store in the customer survey I just filled out. Discrimination against anyone based on how they look is absolutely disgusting and it is clear the women working here are doing just that. I will say there was one younger associate who did offer to help me towards the end of my experience, and she was nice. This is BY FAR the best Sephora I have ever been to for four main reasons: 1. The place is huge so there's a great selection of items and brands. 2. The people working in this store are all so knowledgeable about the products they carry and are very eager to help. 3. They are well-stocked. Haven't had a situation yet where they are out of the color I need. 4. There is a woman working in this store named Opal. While everyone there is good, Opal is like an all-knowing Goddess full of helpful information. This woman really knows about all of the products and makes awesome recommendations. Every time I have purchased something she has recommended, I end up loving it. If you have any questions at all about skincare, she's your woman -- she is 57 and totally does not look it, so obviously she knows what she is doing. Sephora is awesome because they will give you a sample for literally anything in the store that you would like to take home and try first before buying. I've even gotten shampoo and conditioner samples. Their return policy is awesome and lenient so you can bring back anything you're not happy with once you get it home. read more

I had a question about a certain powder, so I asked the lady, Gabrielle, at the register. Apparently that's a cardinal sin at Sephora? The girl looked exasperated and asked if I had asked anyone in colors my question. Sorry, I don't work here and don't know where colors are. I told her no, and that I didn't know who to ask, so I asked her. I asked if the powder was in stock in the back, and she said no without an offer to check or order it. I started to ask if she could see if another Sephora carried the powder, but the girl was already walking away from me. The other girl at the register explained that she was checking to see the online availability. Why didn't the girl I asked tell me that before rudely walking off? When she came back, she said there isn't any in stock online or at a store 100 miles from here. She looked annoyed at having to check and was paging someone in her headset to please send someone to the front so she can go on her lunch. I get it- I work in retail, too. But come on. I asked if I could get my birthday reward since my birthday was yesterday, and she asked which one I wanted without explaining my options. Aye. Another associate told me that I'd need to wait up to a month for the powder to come in. I said thanks and left. I understand that the powder was out of stock, so that isn't the problem. The low level of customer service and the fact that I felt stressed out the whole time I was in that store is the problem. I went to the Sephora in Ridgemar Mall after leaving this location and found the powder WAS in stock at the Sephora a few miles away! "Out of stock within 100 miles," huh? Interesting. I went in today around noon to buy some products for my hair. The lady that helped me find the products and set me up an account was SO sweet and helpful, I believe her name began with a J- she is the reason this review has 3 stars and not any lower which is what I wanted to do originally. However, the cashier who checked me out was the most cold and mean interaction I have ever encountered as a customer. I walked away feeling like I could have been on the verge of tears. She made me feel completely unwelcome and like I didn't belong and was getting obviously annoyed with me as I had to keep repeating myself because she couldn't hear through my mask. I do apologize on my part as I am rather soft-spoken. I'm a loyal customer of the store. There are things I Like and dislikes. There are a lot of staffs and not all of them are knowledgable enough about their products. You can test that by asking random questions about lotion. You come and expect good advise but you cannot trust what they say. Your purchase is all your decision. And their makeup advise as well. Use your guts to find what you need. What I love of the store is: membership policy, the store orientation, the classy atmostphere, the staff's uniforms, black and red, variety of brands and all things girls need to be pretty. But for a loyal customer, I don't like the fact that I'm not recognized in the store just because there are so many in and out staffs who aren't engaged and professional for Sephora. They should invest on quality(not beauty but knowledge) of staff more than quantity! read more

I was really disappointed in this locations customer service. Everything was amazing except for my color artist (I think that's what they call them?). I came in looking to buy a foundation and primer. So she pulls up my account and goes off a color from a year ago. I mention that it might be a bit different seeing as that color is the current foundation I'm using and it's too dark on me now. She got frustrated and rolled her eyes like I was wasting her time. Then she asks me what kind of foundation I want, and I explain to her that I have really bad skin and texture and I'm looking for a combo that'll kind of smooth and even out so makeup doesn't look horrendous on my skin. So she grabs two bottles of foundation and just starts applying it to my face with a brush. I was kind of annoyed because I had told her upfront I was looking for both, primer and foundation. She finishes and tells me to look... there were streaks all over my face, it looked awful, and shocker was too dark. I asked her if it'll look better over primer and she said, "no, you just have really bad skin and no makeup will look good til You get it fixed." Well ok then. Thanks for the help. I thought you went in to sephora to feel pretty and get lifted up, not at this location. Thanks for the obvious, I go to a dermatologist biweekly to try to figure out why my skin is so dehydrated. I came in to find something that would help it look normal or even ok when I have to wear makeup out. How hurtful that she wasn't even willing to help me find a rock solid combo for my "bad skin".
