Love coming here and they always have a few "onesie" bins where you get 30 pieces for $10! New management keeps these out regularly. Lifesaver before my daughter was born. Note that their policy on using bins is to prevent receiving bags of items infested with bugs or dangerous trash, as the employees have experienced this! It's to keep them safe! Just put your items in a box instead! Like any consignment store, they use their computers to calculate totals for what your items are worth and can't take everything they get, like any store with limited inventory space, and always give you the option of donating or taking your goods back up front. read more

I have never used a re-sell store that doesn't allow you to approve the items and price before they are tagged and put out on the floor. They also told me they only took 2 items over the phone and they definitely took more. In fact I noticed at least four items on a rack while I was waiting. I'm going to try to sell my kids clothes on resale clothes apps next time. This one is soo not worth the time and travel. For $10 worth of clothes you can get only $7 cash or take $10 store credit. For all the Tommy and Gap clothes that I sell, I'm not going to be buying the cheap junk from their store. Also, if you take only cash you have to drop off and wait endlessly for them to check your stack. And you should pray they don't get enough store credits or else it could take forever. I have been going to this store for years - only because I like a good deal and this store has no competition in the area. I grit my teeth and get in and out as quickly as possible. Today was my last day - the female manager (I do not know her name) is rude, in a rush, and had no warmth or customer service. She has probably rang me up 100 times but I'm shown no curtesy as a return customer - I'm lucky to get a smile. Today I vocalized how upset I was that I could not use my $5 cash back - she unapologetically said I needed my receipt. I have an account at the store - I have to enter my phone number twice for them to ring me up - I find it odd that they have no records of receipts. Of course the manager could care less that I was concerned and she handed my useless $5 voucher back saying "you were told to bring your receipt back ma'am." I wasn't, not that it mattered." She literally laughed at me when I walked out of the store. Word to the wise - save your money and go to Target - this place is simply not worth it - it's Depressing, horrible ambience. read more

Absolutely horrible. My wife donated my children's clothes here. First when she dropped them off she was treated rudely, the employee made a snide remark to her about watching our kids closer and gave her dirty looks. Then they said they would call us that day with our offer. They never called. I finally called back five days later for them to tell us they gave us store credit because we didn't answer. They never called! They reversed the store credit because they said they couldn't find the slip that is printed off when you drop off the items. They took a few items and gave us 16 dollars. Then she said since they couldn't find the slip that all of our items were most likely donated. I dropped off 2-3 bins full and was going to give whatever was left over to a family member. So this was just ridiculous. I told the employee who was kind but she also told me both managers (the new one and the one transitioning out) were there that day so I'd bet that they were the ones who were so horribly rude in the first place. read more

Today was my third visit. The store has a lot of merchandise, at least for girls (24 m/2T). I don't think they're really cheap, for being a resale. Just went this past week. I went when they first opened at 10am, they had a big line of things from the previous day. I left and about two hours later I received the call they were done. I got $36. I was happy. What made my experience the best was the customer service. I came back to pick up what they didn't take and my money, but all three of my children had just fallen asleep. I called Kid to Kid and asked if they'd feel comfortable bringing my money and clothes to me in the car. So I wouldn't have to wake my kids up. I wish I could give this store "ZERO STARS!" Coming from Colorado to Texas I expected to see southern hospitality at its finest. Boy was I wrong. The items are overpriced. And don't get me started about the customer service. It so rude to be in a conversation between two women and they begin to speak Spanish between themselves, clearly about me. They sold me a remote-controlled car for my son that said worked. However when I tried the car at home it barely moved. Upon taking it to the store their only answer was "sales final." I had given up on this store and said I would NEVER go back! Until...I saw they got a new owner! So I thought what the heck, it's worth at least one try. The customer service is SOOOO MUCH BETTER! Literally from a 0 to a 10! They are so friendly, helpful and just make you feel welcome! Only gave them 4 stars instead of 5, because I wish they had more of a selection of clothes for my 2 yr old. I disagree with the negative post on here. I got there right before they opened today and they were so helpful. I had my baby and stuff to trade in and she opened the door and helped me with my stuff. It was three minutes before they opened and she said come on in, I don't want you to wait out here with your baby. They looked at my stuff and had it checked before I was done looking. It only took them less than 30 minutes. They have a big selection at this store also. I love this store and I hope people go even after the bad reviews. I have been going to them for a long time. Do not go to this kid to kid. I, like another user had said, think they are in trouble business wise. I took in 4-5 new and unopened cans of baby formula, 3 brand new overalls, 5 brand new onesies and new socks and they said they would only give me $7 for all of it! I said no thanks, walked out and went to a different location and they offered me way more...and if they didn't I much would have rather donated all my unused baby clothes/food for free to charity or a church or something. The only reason I gave this place two stars was not because of the staff (they just stare at you when you walk in, give rude answers to questions, don't ask if you need help, and in general look bored and bothered with everything and everyone). I gave it two stars because the clothing options were decent. And I think the only reason they have a decent selection is because people don't know they can go to another kid to kid and get more for their clothing and toys and other baby/kid goods. Overall, I don't recommend this place and I won't be going back. I'd rather donate my unused/gently used baby clothing than have to deal with the staff/atmosphere/insulting price on all the stuff i brought in (especially unused and sealed baby formula that goes for $20 a can). read more

My first time going to kid to kid and will probably not return to the lake worth location. First impression is always the best this was the worst . Walked in the door and i had a rep look at me. Did not welcome me at the door. Stood there and was not adressed until i finally had to ask " how do i get my clothes evaluated to sell" she gave me a form to fill out. Then stood there after i was done and waited. Asked again "ok what is my next step?" I have a new under armor pink onesie and a small new white dress. Offer 3.90. Wow. I was not happy with the customer service. Lacking those very important skills for a business to be a sucess. I am pretty sure they dont need my business. The lake worth store has gone downhill. The last few weeks I have taken in 5 large plastic containers. The wait is ridiculously long. They have several working people in the store but looking at your items in a timely fashion is not their highest priority. They have nothing but kids working / they don't look a day older than 18... maybe their 20 but that's pushing it. I don't have a problem with the young workforce if they are respectful and work hard. They are not friendly and matter of fact about what they will and won't take. They took three of my items on my recent visit which is infuriating because I shop at the top stores, Nordstrom, Macy's, target, children's place, gap etc. I never have Walmart branded items. It took 4.5 hours for them to look through, how hard can it be? I saw the line of items in front of me and it was not 4.5 hrs worth of waiting, small bags of items and baby equipment. I took the cash rather than store credit because what they have in the store is not that great anymore. When the girl checked me out she said my stuff was ready to go but left me to search for it. I had 3 containers... impossible to carry all out by myself. The cashier walked up to do something else but didn't offer to help. This is where kid to kid could shine above the rest... PROCEED WITH CAUTION!! I agree with everyone else I would like to give zero stars. For starters the lady that is in charge is not very friendly and acts like she's doing you a favor to buy your clothes. She should remember that she even has this job because of people like us bringing in gently used items. I brought in 18 maternity items that were barely worn and they gave me $15. I would've taken my items back except they have a policy that if you leave your items to be priced you cannot decline their offer. The only reason I left my items was because I was told there was a one day wait ( even though they called me back 30 minutes later with their pitiful offer) and this was my third time to go into even sell the items and I didn't want to have to make a fourth trip. I guess this is their way of giving you as little as possible and you have no recourse. I could have made more in a garage sale, eBay or even in a tax deduction just giving it away.
