The available scents that they sell can be overwhelming. Not every scent comes in every product, meaning some may not have hand soap or body gel, but you are sure to find something that works. Now, some of these scents can be very strong so it is worth the time to either try the product, as they offer with the hand soaps, or smell the samples. I was able to find what I needed and check out very quickly. I found out when I returned back home (Illinois) that not all stores use the rewards app and this was one of those stores. Fortunately, the employees are in the know when it comes to their specials, it seems everything is buy a certain number/get one free or buy a certain number and get a discounted rate. Many a time I visited this Bath & Body Works store when I would shop at this mall. It's a typical Bath & Body Works. I'm not sure why the lousy reviews. I'm not visiting this Jersey City location anymore since Cheesecake Factory opened here in Queens. If I return to this location I'll be sure to take photos! read more

I went to pickup my order and they didn't have the item in stock. Granted I went before I got the email to come pickup the items, but the store associate said he would process my order. I was nothing but polite and I was spoken to rudely by the associate, while trying to get a coupon refunded for the missing item. read more

Good customer service actually still exits! I have always received good service when I came here. The deals are pretty good as all other BBWs. Word of advice wait for the Black Friday or semiannual sales. I feel the deals are the best then. When you purchase something you can use the receipt to leave feedback and receive a 10$ coupon off 30 as well. Just read the bottom of any receipt for instructions. They have a decent section of men products as well, so do not be discouraged gentleman. read more

I really like the layout of this store and staff is always friendly and willing to give you a bag to put your finds in. I went here for the recent semi-annual sale and they have a great selection of everything. Candles were my favorite! Checkout was also very quick and efficient. For a Sunday, I barely had to wait in line. read more

Nothing is more of a turn off than rude and nasty sales associates . Received email for candle sale and the ones I chose had a SALE sign behind them. But after I took 30-40 minutes to decide on all these candles, JOANN "a cashier" tells me the candles I picked are not on sale and after I share that's misleading she wants to tell me over and over it's not their fault with a this attitude like she's talking to a peer. Saying they dont choose what signage is in the store etc, Excuse me? This is what happens when you hire immature people/children. Then SHANELLE "a manager" is laughing about it with the cashier as she approached me. Makes no real eye contact, brushing it off. Now when I ask for their names to report it, Shanelle wants to talk about her being the only manager right now and low staff. Sounds good. I will definitely make a formal complaint. How dare you all think this is acceptable behavior. Bath and Body can't be that desperate to have people like them working in any of their stores. read more

This store is great and smells amazing. They always have the best customer service, and aromas available. Their selection is the best wether looking for a fresh fragrance, body care or candles. I bought the eucalyptus candle which smells refreshing and soothing while spreading throughout my whole house. I definitely recommend trying this scent. I am writing this only because of the supervisor KAT. She was extremely rude in pointing out something at checkout. I am a regular to that store and for the first time a supervisor was so rude to customers in front of her colleagues especially when she should be the one training them in how to speak with customers or probably explain the situation to the customers. went this Morning at 10:30 am and bought some items at the Jersey City Newport Mall. When I came to the counter I came across the manager and associate which the manager's demure expression was straight faced and noticed she did not greet the customers when purchasing the associate which attended me was ok. I looked at the manager and and empathized with her saying I know it is kind of rough being it was a busy season with that she quickly responded to her defense saying what do you mean. Then I stated regardless the state a person may be I was not greeted nor customers properly nor asked if our shopping experience was pleasant she then said didn't the associate say that and I said no note she was standing right next to her and I said you being Management should ensure this to all associates who works there and since the associate did not say it she being management needed to intercede in her behalf in greetings. She then quickly said to the other associate I am going to the back room. My point is this if the associate or management is having a bad day or has problems I feel they should not bring it to work leave it home or stay home result is loss of customers and hindering the reputation of the business!!!!! I was sent a promotion in my email however, when I got to the store they didn't have the promotion there. In fact, they didn't even know what I was talking about. When they called up the corporation, they were told the promotion was in selected stores but don't know which ones. If I were you I would avoid this location and maybe even this company. Don't expect kindness or quality customer service from the cashiers when even their managers behave crudely. Especially during the holiday season. Was making a large purchase or the candles i love so much, the bag was ripped i asked for another and the cashier refused then i said ok if you cant give me one can you double the bag yourself as its very heavy (with 8 candles) and ripping. Again the cashier refused, the on looking manager snickered looked at me and looked away. My husband said he doesnt mind paying for another bag as we have a long walk. "This is all i can do" was the response he received. Then i had the nerve to ask a question regarding the coupon i was using and if i could reuse, which didnt feel to me like such a outlandish question but the manager then turned around and very very rudely said they all wanna use coupons without reading. She in hand gestures said i have to rip the coupon up so the answer is no. @bath&bodyworks its the holidays, your customer service will have to answer questions and help people thats how the retail indirect works.
