During my annual visit to Niantic's Main Street, I walked into Wilks Works. The place seemed very…read morenice. It was just me and another customer who talking to the owner of the store. I found one item and wanted to ask the proprietor a question about another item in the other room, but she didn't acknowledge when I tried to make eye contact with her. So I walked around the store again to give them time to finish. I stood in their proximity again holding what I wanted to buy. Again I tried to make eye contact. Nothing again. No acknowledgement, so I left annoyed at her lack of professionalism and rudeness. I joined my friends in the store right next door (Olde Red Saltbox) and told them what happened. The owner of that store overheard me and angrily said " that's my daughter you're talking about!" I proceeded to tell her what happened at her daughter's store and she responded, " don't talk about my daughter like that . Get out of my store...now." as I left, my friends put down what they were going to purchase from the mother's store and followed me out.
