I was here because I thought they're running a sale for concentrated room sprays for only $3.50 just for today, but when I came by to the section that has them, I don't see a sale sign. I guess that you have to only purchase them online. Some sections of the store are either left empty or have products that are quite all over the place. I guess that it's a day from Independence Day and many people bought a lot of items. I also saw that the line was long. I really like the variety of smells and fragrances,that they carry. I'm taking about the hand soaps. I started buying the refill soap. Your mostly paying for the container, which most throw away after their done. I wait till they have their specials. I try to get them when they are under $4 dollars. I will give a zero if I could! I love their products, but I don't think I will go to Great Mall store anymore! I ordered a 4x 8fl oz Japanese cherry blossom body lotion at Great Mall (San Jose, CA) and when I arrived, the counter gave me 4x travel size (3fl oz) instead. And I told her it is not the right size, she gave me a look like I'm cheating. So, I have to dig in my email and show her the prove. Later, she talk to the manager and brought the manager to me and told me that they have to cancel my order and re-enter the whole entry due to I order an old packing (design of the bottle) and they are giving me the new packing which is with a higher price. So, I have to pay extra dollar instead of what I original pay on Bath and Body Works original website. I said NO! I told them, I buy from the Bath & Body works website, it is not my fault to pay the price different while you guys didn't put the correct information online. You guys can list "no inventory" on the website! And I'm not going to pay your fault on my account! IMHO Gosh darn it, I missed the sale of the year! I love Bath & Body Works' foaming soaps and usually try to hit their sale when all hand soaps are $2.95 each... (I missed it by two days...) Well, I needed to restock and had received a 25% coupon to redeem, so I grabbed a few of my favorite scents. The current promotion was Buy 5 for $27. I was able to stack my 25% off coupon on top for a good savings. I also had a special coupon that offered a free gift (worth $16.95 or less), so I added a bottle of bath wash. I wish I had gotten the name of the young lady who helped me and answered all of my questions, but she was the one who greeted me when I first entered the store. So I showed my coupon to a cashier and ask if I still can use it. She was like "What's that..." (obviously she didn't know why I have it. BBW sent it to my place!) The coupon said "FREE BODY CARE ITEM (UP TO $17.95) WITH ANY $10 PURCHASE VALID IN STORE AND ONLINE". The cashier said "You can't use it, because you got soups. It's only for body care items". I thought I didn't read the coupon well, so put down my stuff and took a look the coupon again. It didn't say that I have to buy body care items. So I decided to ask another staff, but she wasn't sure. She even asked me to ask the cashier again. I think it was one of her role to check for me though. Then the cashier raised her voice and said "I already told you, you had to apply the coupon online!!" Hello? When did you tell me about it?? Walked in. No greet. I had to walk up to the stocker and ask for help. I asked for the 4 for 20 sale items from online. She looked at me. Then said ohh the sale items. She then pointed and walked me to the 3 buckets that had items for sale. Guess what. The MALE Cedarwood, old fashioned(formerly Noire), and Oak. My scents that blend well for my skin. Talk about lucky me. I bought all. The body creme and all the mist oak spray. A few lotions. Total $72. I paid $33. Bargain for the next 9 years. I bought about 6 lotions back in 2013. 4 lotions today. I have 3 of that former 6 left. They last. I use scented lotions when I don't use body oils. Body oils are better for my skin. Just went inside to look at their seasonal stuff and was immediately profiled. The salesman insisted on giving me a bag even though I didn't plan to purchase anything. I felt like I was being watched and when I walking out to leave I saw the guys face like as if he was shocked I chose not buy anything lol. I've worked in mall retail in my teenage years so I get the dynamic that managers set for workers to watch customers to prevent stealing. Didn't feel strongly either way about this location but more downsides than upsides, I suppose. Had to wait in line to get in, about 10 mins or so. Appreciate the efforts to keep people safe. They have a station of hand sanitizers right at the entrance to use upon waking in. I might've missed it, but I didn't see a scent free option here, which would've been nice if you're planning on trying anything on. I had a list of items I wanted to check out but almost all of them were sold out/not available at this location. I only got 2 body creams and that too, from one of the associates, which brings me to my next point. I asked a female associate, didn't get her name but she was quite tall, on where I could find the items in question. This is where I expect them to walk me to the area(s) of my items and point them out. Nope. She just said everything on my list was in the 75% off section and what they have out is it. Gee. STORE: This store is inside the Great Mall. I can't complain much about the store considering it's your typical BBW store, and they're all pretty much setup the same with all the same merchandise. MERCHANDISE: They've got all kinds of scents whether floral, sultry, or fruity depending on your preference. Lotions, bath gel, body shimmer, body spray, candles, soap, shampoo, conditioner, exfoliators, hand soap, anti bacterial gel, car fresheners, air fresheners, shave gel, lip balm, lip gloss, face wash, face moisturizers, and just a ton of products for your body overall. SALES: I look forward to their semi-annual sales they have in December/January and again in June if I remember right. They deeply discount their stuff during these times of the year (see photos). My favorite is to stock up during their sales for gifts to give throughout the year. You can purchase up to $30 and get an extra discount by filling out the online survey listed on their receipts. With their semi-annual sales plus the receipt discount the prices are really good. The merchandise is very organized and it ALWAYS smells like a holiday here ! They either light up a scented candle OR switch on their plug-ins. Worst place ever go to a different location. Rude, unable to listen to protocols and should've been shut down. I'd give them .5 if it was possible. We've been waiting for 5 hours for the annual sale. The manager told us to wait around, leave, and to walk around, but we kept doing that. We ended up losing our place in line, the fire marshal was called multiple times to remove the lines and such. We were yelled at multiple times to leave by that same manager as the workers attempted to do the same. It bothered me how he had such an attitude. We took this into action and told customer service about such unacceptable treatment. They don't even have a line placement service when it's CLEARLY posted on the window. When I tried the automated system it said there was no line and we were able to walk in. Chris (the manager) is unable to accommodate to the customers, miscommunication between him and the line of customers (giving them false hope 10 minutes before closing allowing the lines to continue) and left me clearly upset and unsatisfied. TLDR: Go to a different location, they have a more organized set up as well as abide to the COVID protocols. read more

It is a tradition in my family to go to the after holiday sales and buy a year's worth of shower gel, hand soap, and lotions. I never feel that the candles are a great deal, though. I was given a coupon for a free 3-wick candle when spending more than $20, and I sent it to my boyfriend to pick me up a few candles , well the sales associate said it was already used but that is not possible because I just signed up and received that code and the link I sent to my other friends, they redeemed a new code and were able to use at another BBW in San Francisco (Stonestown) I find this very time consuming and horrible customer service and I hope as a corporation who constantly has promotions, teaches their employees to honor coupons across the board, not discrimite because my boyfriend did not talk back or argue that the coupon is valid. One of the tags from the Family Giving Tree that I "adopted" was a wish for Bath and Body Works items for a 14 year-old-girl. I'm not that big of a fan of this place. It smells like sugar. So much sugar, in fact, that by walking into this place is forcing me to get a root canal today. OK, not really a cause of the root canal, but their scents here are too overpowering and too sugary for my liking. Their aromatherapy line is better than their usual gourmand selection of hyper perfumed soaps, lotions and potions. Try Eucalyptus Spearmint for morning energizing showers and Lavender Chamomile for evening soporific ones. The price point is higher than the rest of the store, but that's a reflection of quality. This cost/value model cannot be extrapolated to romantic relationships where the emotional cost is usually inversely proportional to their value. Emotional cost does not equal emotional investment, which is a necessary component of any relationship worth having. Perhaps emotional vampirism is a more appropriate word. Christina, the store manager, was very helpful. There were also no lines at the store which reiterates that savvy shoppers don't do Black Friday or other hyped up non-deal days. Of course, if you love waiting in a seven hour line of 1,000 people to get a $4 toaster, then disregard this tip. -1 star for not providing the wooden scoop with the sugar scrub. Even for a few dollars extra, it would be well worth it. When I looked online to find the scoop it was shocking to read most people used their hand to scoop out the sugar and oil. This is not only unsanitary, but also inefficient. Still searching for additional scoops to supplement my current one that I purchased years ago at BBW. read more
