During lucky days like yesterday, they have the extra 20% off 70% clearance deals. Sometimes you get better deals at the store compared to the online shop. Regular items were at 30 -50%. Hello Kate Spade Customer Care Team, I am writing regarding a handbag (Style 35733) that I purchased from the Kate Spade store in the Great Mall ( Milpitas, CA) on May 15, 2025. The bag has developed a defect that I believe is due to a manufacturing or material issue. Issue Description: The stitching on the bottom of the flower opened.The bag materiel peeled unexpectedly. I have attached clear photos showing the problem, along with my original purchase receipt ( my credit card transaction). You can locate this purchase by my cell 415-203-7124. Because the item is still within your one-year manufacturing defect warranty, I kindly request an evaluation and assistance with repair or replacement. I visited the store, but the manager declined an exchange and considered it wear-and-tear. However, based on the nature of the defect and the time of use, I believe it is a manufacturing issue. I stopped by today since I was already in the mall to complete another errand. I thought it was a perfect day since it's a weekday (Monday) and there was no line to get inside the store. I was greeted as soon as I came in. I was browsing and noticed that they had less items on the shelves but they had a pretty good sale today, 70% off plus an additional 20% on most items. I made my round and as I was leaving, I saw a hot pink neon purse, two at that and I had to stop. This is one of my favorite colors. I was debating on what size to get and trying both of them on. The employee that greeted me asked me if I needed any help and I told her that I was debating on the sizes because they were both useful depending on the outing. The smaller one, there was a handful of purses on the floor. The bigger one, there was only one. I noticed that there was slight cracking near the zipper. I asked the employee if they had more in the back and she said yes and when I was ready that they would get it for me. That particular employee got busy and I asked another employee that was passing by if she could get another one from the back since I was ready to purchase, she said just take the purse to the registers and they will get it for you. I waited in line, there was one other person in front of me and when I asked the employee at the register if she could bring me another from the back, she stated we only sell what's on the floor. Um....since when?? I didn't state that but I did tell her that the reason that I wanted another one was because of the bend/crack near the zipper. She inspected it with another employee and said that's the way it is. Geez....I have bought another purse in this same condition and guess what, it did crack. I was not going to pay and have the same thing happen. I told the employee that if another bag was not going to be brought out then I didn't want this one and walked out. If this was the last bag in the whole store...okay, then of course you couldn't bring another one to sell. If this indeed is a new store policy of only selling what is on the sales floor, then ALL sales employees need to be trained in this policy since clearly the other employees did not say they only sell what's on the floor. I don't need or want to be waited on hand and foot here or anywhere else but just some basic customer service to close the sell. I love online shopping and I really try to shop at the stores to support their existence especially in malls that are rapidly becoming a thing of the past. But with this store not wanting to sell, I will just have to go elsewhere. read more

I've visited this store at least 3 times in the last two years and feel each time, valued as a customer. There is never a shortage of girls politely asking if you need assistance picking out a purse or someone to talk to about your concerns. I just find it funny how you tell the first girl you don't need their assistance and then a couple minutes later another associate would wander to your area and ask the same questions as the previous did. I recommend this location to all not only for the excellent customer service you'll get, but the clean and spacious layout of the store will have you marveling at the purse selections each time! read more

I needed a new wallet so I dropped by Great Mall to see if I can find something that I like. I started out with this store and left to check out a few more stores before settling on a wallet from here. The employees were super nice and friendly. There was no pressure on buying anything and someone even asked if I needed any help. I've used my wallet for a few weeks now and haven't had any issues. However, I just wish the cash pockets were a little more loose. read more

Not their usual staff this time, so that's probably why, but they're usually more attentive and willing to help instead of being dismissive. Don't get me wrong, they were not rude, but the staff didn't want to help look up if other places had an item I wanted in another size since they didn't have the size. Some things are worth the wait. I absolutely LOVE Kate Spade! The designs are so simple, elegant, and girly. I used to go to the Kate Spade Outlet in Livermore or Gilroy since those were the closest locations, but I was sooooo excited when I heard that they finally opened up an even CLOSER location! (It was worth the wait!!!) Right now, as of March 23, 2019, they have 70% off + an extra 20% when you purchase two or more items. I got 2 backpacks, 3 wallets, and 3 purses for SUCH an awesome price! After the death of the designer, I haven't been a fan of their recent designs. I typically only drop by I search for gifts for friends. Wonderful place to pick up gifts such as jewelry at an affordable price. I recently drop by in need for a gift. As I walked in, employees were huddled outside for a meeting and I was greeted by an employee asking if I was looking for anything in particular. She briefly showed me a few collections. Less than two minutes later as I was looking at jewelry, i was the. approached by another employee informing me of the discounts of the jewelry and went on to say if I needed a price check she would be more than happy to help. Sure, okay. I can whip out my own calculator and do the math. And what you know, within a minute or two later, I was asked if I needed help and I said no. Within 5 minutes of browsing I was already approached by 3 employees... hmm.. and then I as continued to browse I was approached by Brianna asking if I was doing okay I said yes... she then saw me browsing some clothes and said they have fitting rooms open. Okay, sure. Good to know. Then I continued to looked the same girl minutes ago asked if I was doing okay. No, I'm not okay. Within 10minutes in the store, I was approached by all your employees in the store asking if I needed help in some way. I was actually pretty annoyed by this time, and would have left but because I was in need of a gift, I stayed and paid for earrings and pajamas which were 60% and 70%off respectively. Brianna rang me up after helping another client and was nice enough to throw those earrings into my bag without a care. I had to asked for a dust bag because well from my previous purchases/experience, they were packed for me in a dust bag with its gift receipt. As when I left, employees outside were still huddled and one male employee broke away from the group to thank me and told me to have a great day. I'm not sure how I feel about todays experience. I felt a little pressured today as I felt the employees were a bit too available and pushy in completing sales/commissions. I get it. Only 2 clients in the store and you need sales... but it literally felt like I was being watched at every corner and was expected to buy something today. Don't get me wrong... Overall, great outlet prices on great products made for the outlet stores. It could have been better if I was not approached every minute or so while shopping. read more

Never buy Kate Spade items at full price! The outlets always have similar items for a way more affordable price. This location is super convenient since it's right in between the other two Kate Spade Outlets in the Bay Area (Livermore and Gilroy). The best deal that I have seen at this location is take 70% off the listed price plus an additional 20% off that sale price. At other locations I've seen take an additional 80% off which is a better deal than the 70+20%, but I've never seen that here. Their sales rotate, so if there's a purse you like and there's not a great sale, be sure to check back in the following weeks to see if there's a better sale! I'm sure you can just call in to see what sale is happening before you head there. My favorite place to shop is at the clearance section! The prices are already marked down and you typically apply the sale to the already reduced prices. The clearance section can be really hit or miss though, since it's items that they're trying to get rid of. You might not find the right style or color you're looking for, but sometimes you get lucky! Overall, great store if you love Kate Spade products. After the sales, wallets end up starting at around $30, and some crossbodies become less than $100. read more

Bags, bags and more bags. I was very excited about Kate Space outlet in the mall close to home, but what I like most from this brand are the lovely dresses and clothing in general. That, though, was lacking. It is all about bags, which makes sense since the brand initially became famous for their characteristic shape and color palette more intense than other counterparts. I went into the store on 1/23/22 with my sister who wanted to buy a purse from their Valentine's Day collection. I was a loyal customer but wasn't planning to buy anything during this visit as I was on a budget. But then a phone case caught my eye so I went to pay for it. As I was removing my card from the pin pad after paying, the power went out in the whole mall so no receipt came out. I immediately checked my bank to see if the charge had gone through, and it did. The manager then came out and said he couldn't let me take the case home because he had no proof of my payment and he couldn't look it up with no power. He assured me he would contact me the next day and overnight me the case of in fact the payment went through. We'll he never contacted me so I went to the store and they didn't have an answer for me because according to them they didn't see my charge on their end which meant it would be taken from my account in a couple days. We'll it didn't! I called back and the said they would look into it. Eventually they found it and asked if I still wanted the case but I asked for a refund instead being upset with the whole issue. Days passed and I received no refund so I called back. They assured me I was getting one in no later than 10 days. We'll those 10 days passed (now 2/24/21, a month after I was in the store) and rather than getting a refund they charged me for the phone case again! I called Kate Spade again and the girl I spoke to told me to call my bank "if I had time". I called my bank and they were only able to reverse the second charge and said the merchant still had to refund me the other one for never giving me the case. I called the store yet again and they told me they couldn't help me and said I should dispute the charge with my bank, which I had already done. I asked to speak to corporate and they are no help either. Said they would call be back to "dig deeper" but didn't call. I thought it was a store issue but apparently it's a company issue. Its ridiculous how they can't do a simple refund and are giving me such a hard time for it after the manager made me feel like a thief since day one. No one has been helpful and while I was understanding of the power outage at first, it has now been too long and it's ridiculous. Never going back. I would give 0 starts if I could. read more

I was happy to see the Kate Spade opened up in the Great Mall. I went to the store yesterday to buy few bags. The great Mall store offered only 60% off where as other Kate Spade outlet stores in Livermore and Gilroy offered 70% off. When I was checking out my bags they were coming up as 70% off, but the sales associate is adjusting to 60% off. I talked to the manager and asked her why they are adjusting the price at 60% and are not offering 70% off like other outlet stores. The manager said they can't do 70% because it is a new store. Kate Spade is not independently owned store to have the price difference for same exact items. If you like to buy stuff from this store go to Livermore or Gilroy but not to Great Mall, you could save hundreds of dollars. read more

I purchased a phone case apparently awhile ago according to the manager that assisted me. First, the lady have an attitude like you can't afford to buy stuff here. Gurl! Believe me I can but your attitude was horrible that make me don't want to buy. I don't have the receipt so I asked if I can exchange for another phone case since I recently changed to a new phone but the lady said she can look me up by my email. Well after I gave her my email she said it's more than 3 months and unfortunately they can't exchange it for me so I told her if I don't give her my email and if I said this was a gift then how would they know if this was purchased more than 3 months ago. She said if they cannot find me then she will let me exchange. Obviously, she tricked me and I was being honest and I gave her my information like I should. So basically I should lie and said I don't have an email. The she said she would get fired for doing it because she found me in the system. Whatever lady..... bye. I went to this Kate Spade location for the first time, and I was happy to see an outlet, as I typically go to their regular store at Santana Row where everyone's always been great. I exchanged something that I had received as a gift. I learned that the first item was purchased during a sale and I asked if that discount can be applied to the exchange. Josephine was really sweet and professional throughout my entire experience. However, I'm not sure who hired or decided to put Luna in the front. She needs an attitude adjustment and needs to learn basic interaction etiquette, especially being in retail/customer service.
