The staff is typically helpful, they never have the same staff there so attrition must play a big factor. They update their displays often, new smells and the seasons always bring the new candles. They FINALLY updated their software system, thank God!!!! The old system was slow, screwed up and the check out process would take 15 minutes. You can become a member to earn reward vouchers and you get coupons for great deals on their candles. I would only buy their candles with coupons.

I used to work for the company, so I know the general basics of the return policy. I got an older candle as a gift, and since I didnt like the scent I came in to exchange it. The associate didnt do the exchange for me due to it "being over a 90 day old candle". Ive never heard of this new rule before so I looked up the return policy and couldnt find it. However I admit I didnt look through it thoroughly so I called another store and they said that this store SHOULD HAVE done a exchange for me as "no receipt" and taken my ID (this is what i figured would happen too). So then after being told this by one store, I go back in to this store for them to say they'll only give me the lowest price of the item. So i just went to the other store and they did the exchange in 2 minutes, no issue. I don't want to be a Karen, but all stores should be consistent. If you cant exchange "older candles over 90 days" then all stores should be saying that. I shouldn't have to waste gas to go to the store that will. And if one store is saying they'll do it, you'd think the store saying the wont do it would just do it to make the customer happy and not have the customer drive around town. Its a bummer knowing my local store doesn't follow the same exchange policy that I've know for years. Im not trying to exchange a fully used candle, I'm just exchanging a gift that didn't spark my liking. This shouldn't have been an issue unfortunately.

The location is easy to find with convenient parking, and it is right next to Fluffy Fresh. When I arrived in the morning, I almost thought they were closed because the store looked pretty dark from outside, but the open sign was there and I was greeted politely when I went in. The shop has a lot of cute, curated items, with maybe a stronger focus on stationery and paper goods than the small figures or novelty items I was personally hoping for. There is also a little trinket exchange cabinet, which is a fun concept and worth checking out even if you are just browsing. Overall, the selection felt thoughtfully chosen, just more in line with stationery and gifts than I was looking for that day. One thing that stood out to me was the lighting. Even on a sunny day with large windows, the interior felt quite dim, especially when browsing smaller items. A bit more overhead lighting would make it easier to really see what they offer. That said, the atmosphere was calm and the staff was friendly without being overbearing, which I appreciated. I might not rush back, but I would definitely take another look if something caught my eye on their website first.

She throws them on the back counter and just stares at me. So I say " i'm here for a price adjustment. She looks at my receipt and goes.. "How am I supposed to do that?" I'm sorry... ask your manager? I then tell her, "I don't know how you guys do it here.." I ALSO AM A CUSTOMER. She clearly has an attitude and doesn't want to do her job today. She finally ask for help, one lady comes up, (Very sweet btw) and then the manager comes up. The first cashier says to the manager "she says she bought these products (obviously i did, since i have the receipt) and now she wants a price adjustment for them. Her manager said "Okay." looks at the receipt and looks up at me and says "I'm not sure if someone informed you wrong, but you actually need the products so we can scan them. To make it easier." Which is complete BS. It says nothing about having the products in the policy. YOU just don't want to do your job. Very disappointing

My boyfriend had points on his credit card for spending so much money on it. So with the points we got $200 in gift cards so that I could go shopping for hand soaps with it. I was only there for the necessities that I need for the house, and a couple things that I am really wanting I live in Paola and work 6am to 6pm I'm not there to make grief, I'm wanting to get in and out so I can go too bed by 9pm. I go in there I pick everything out, this lady swiped my 4 gift cards 4-5 times each. But, anytime they were swiping the gift cards it was taking the money off the total. They tell me that there machines must be down. I understood that, so they tell me to come back the next day and they were gonna call customer service and figure it out. So I do, I'm waiting behind 2 other customers, the girls at the register had gift cards! They used them no questions, didn't tell them to come back tomorrow. They went through just fine. It's my turn to do the whole checking out my items for the second time. They start swiping away trying to "figure out what's wrong with these specific gift cards." They end up calling customer service again to figure out why it's not working. Now this same lady I had the previous day (she was the one who swiped my card 4-5 times) is telling me that there's no money on these cards and to come back on Friday to go through the same trouble. This lady was pretty much telling me to ask around and make sure they were activated thinking I might've stole them if I'm having this much issues. I confront this lady and tell them, "that's funny, I just came in here yesterday with $200 on these cards ready to purchase my items I chose, I checked them. I come back in and conveniently there's now no money on my cards. Your machine took the money." Of course she's telling me that they'd never do that, questioning me if I was sure that these were activated cards, she ends up calling customer service AGAIN. She ends up telling me to write my email and they're giving me my money back with e-gift cards. Perfect situation, right? You'd be asking yourself why I only gave them 1 star and not 5 because they "took care of the situation" I only got partial money back. They lost 3 loyal customers to this Bath and Body we will not be shopping at this location again. We'll make the effort to drive the extra 10 minutes to get to the Oak Park Mall location. They at least know how to use gift cards, but they did know how because they literally had customers IN FRONT OF ME that used their gift cards without ANY ISSUES. Please take my advice and learn how to look back at transactions so you don't have to call customer service 4 times. Saves ya'll the trouble and hassle. Funny part is, is this lady claimed to be an assistant manager. You'd think somebody in that store would know how to look back at months even years of transactions, just to make sure that the machine didn't take the money. Hope people never have to live through the anxiety and very stressful experience I had to experience with you guys all because no one was willing to look at transactions just to at least make sure somebody is making a mistake in the situation. Might've saved some time.

The only time she looked at me or said anything to me was giving me my receipt which I then finally got her attention/eye contact and asked for the final time to exchange the bills and she told me that it was too late. Working in retail myself I know she could have easily opened her drawer and exchanged them, completely rude and lazy. Won't be returning to this location. A few years ago Sephora went down to 2 samples with a purchase, instead of 3. Ordering online is obviously a bit easier, but the sample selection at an actual store is better and it's so nice getting to try the products and especially smell the perfumes in person. Valarie and Lili were the associates who helped me the other day. Lili found a great shade of the new YSL foundation for me. It's a bright, clean store with great customer service- plus there are fantastic massage chairs outside the store that are inexpensive and lovely- ahhhhh
