Best staff EVER!!! I hadn't been to a Lush in years and wanted to stop by for a visit. Elliot helped me so much to rediscover old scents I used to love and knew everything about all the products. This is the only place I get my face wash from. Everything is vegan, cruelty free, and recyclable. How much better can a skin care company be? My favorite face wash hands down is LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL. I had to put it in all caps because the good times definitely keep rolling. If you buy and finish 5 containers you can bring them back to recycle through the store and as a reward you get a free fresh face wash. These fresh face washes only last 2-3 weeks but it honestly shouldn't take that long to use. Although all of the products have an expiration date because they are made with fresh ingredients, they are all quality! I love Lush and everything they stand for. read more

I order online from this place all the time. Love it love it love it....Vegan, hand made, good smelling stuff that smells like a '60's boutique. I decided to walk around Oak Park Mall,and to my surprise, there is was...the actual STORE...OMG. I knew the store was there, in the back of my mind. I'd seen it on the website a few months ago. It is a bit over priced, but to me, the quality is received. They have the most awesome hand cream, it has real olive oil, and essential oils. Yes, it is 24.95. yes, as soon as I can have hand lotion with oils,I will be buying some. I've been using Jason's Aloe Vera (cause of my diet medicine,and I can't use anything with oils, and my hands can tell it.) I dipped my hands into the hand cream at Lush, and my hands feel entirely soft. Their shower fizzies (that I break into several peices), smell really breath taking. They fizz quick,so I break them, and use them several times. The honey lip balm, my mom almost had me order some for her, before I got her the lip balm at the store. I use the Happy Hippy shower gel,and was conveniently out. It smells of bergmont. Infact, the store smells of bergmont. Their soaps are pricey, yes, but smell them. And try them. Products are consistent and so is the rude rude behavior of the staff. This is our second time at this location. Sales staff stood in a cluster catting while drinks soft drinks. We asked for assistance and neither sales person acknowledged us. I'm when we finally got their attention, that did not get up form sitting down- pointed to the other side of the store and said, "you'll have to go there to find it". At check out, when we asked about pricing, the sales person was visibly annoyed. We shop at Lush in Florida all and down the coast- salespeople are always, engaged, happy, and helpful. I've been a fan of Lush for a few years. When I was blonde I used the Monteblano (sp?) solid shampoo bar; it was lemon scented and mostly for shine. It dried my already dried and damaged locks even worse. I also used this green goo for scalp treatment. Its nice, but pricy ($25)! I always wanted to try Daddy-O (purple shampoo), but never got around to it. Today I got another shampoo bar and solid conditioner. I'm trying to tame a sensitive and itchy scalp. They've been deleting my reviews on google! But I love this store but I feel like every item I come in here I have a problem with an employee being weird towards me. The lady with pink hair and glasses would go out of her way to be near me anytime I moved to a different spot of the store. I was smelling body sprays when she came up behind me and then around me to face my direction to watch what I was doing. Even when I went to check out she went to the other register to act like she was doing something, to watch me. Made my whole shopping trip so uncomfortable I didn't even want to be there anymore. Even my boyfriend noticed she was following me. I haven't gone to this store in months because I had a bad experience with another employee and I finally get the courage to come in and this happens. And unfortunately there's no higher up in the store I can talk to about these issues, because she's a manager...Extremely disappointing that the people they have for these positions act like this. read more

Customer service in a damn bubble bath! I came to this mall on mission to buy one product as a gift and I left with an arsenal for myself. I think the only reason was due to the "karma women" Kelsey and the team were customer service centered and very much at ease helping me. I felt like I was in a bubble bath and relaxed through the conversation. The store is focused on vegan skin care products. The karma lotion was tested on my hands and worth while the experience because I got a hand massage. One thing I would state is park near the Nordstrom/ Macy's inner deck area if you someone like me that likes to walk in and out. read more

Great products and very helpful staff. I have been to the teeny store at Oak Park Mall many times. My mom loves patchouli and I always get her some soap. I love the Sex Appeal citrus soap. Love their facial cleansers and the charcoal soap, too. The product line is solid and everything I have tried works great. Lush products make good gifts, too. One time a CSR helped me pick out a gift for my aunt. She went above and beyond for me and I appreciated get help. The negative aspect for me are the prices. Lush is expensive. There are several times I wanted to try a product but had to do a doubt take when I saw the price. It would be nice to have more sales or a frequent Lusher sort of program. Just to darned expensive. However, the products are quality so you do get what you pay for. Love this minuscule store and all th products. read more

Like most other reviewers say, it is tiny inside and maneuvering around without tripping over the packs of teenagers who are sniffing bath bombs can be a hassle. I roamed around today without a single person asking if I needed any help, but several salespeople hovering around me. Kinda weird. Bought one bath bar and two small sized bath bombs. $24 later...ouch! Super awesome smells but still very pricey. I had to go down to 3 stars for "A Okay" now because... After taking my $10.95 bath bar home, it crumbled so much after one single use. Super bummer. Coloring everywhere! It's a bit intimidating to go to a place like Lush where there are so many choices and staff, but I had finally had it with TSA and how much liquid blah blah so I decided to pick up some dry shampoo and soap that isn't subject to the screening requirements. Picked up a couple options that really worked for me and some square tins to keep them in and got out in just about 15 minutes. Very helpful and friendly staff! read more

I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place. You walk in and right off the bat it smells AMAZING! Not super overwhelming just fresh and clean. The store is broken down into sections and there is at least one sales rep per section, as well as several floating around the stores. They aren't there to pressure you into purchasing things you don't want, but they help you find EXACTLY what you need based on your hair/skin types, scent preferences, and any sensitivities you may have. Literally I have never been to another store EVER where I've seen a more knowledgable staff. They use mostly natural ingredients and they have a lot of vegan products. And they make an outstanding variety of products! My favorites include: mouthwash tabs, olive oil body wash, and bubblebars. They make everything from shampoo bars to toothpaste powder and bathbombs! Here is the deal. I have a love hate relationship with Lush. I was introduced to Lush by a friend who lives in Indiana. I ordered some items and was in heaven. I visit Portland, OR at least once a year and discovered that there was a store there so I had to visit right? Right. Delightful. Friendly service, nice freebies (aka gateway goodies) to get you started, etc. Then I went to St. Louis after I moved to KC because there was a store there. Delightful. Then I learned they were opening a store here at the mall. This is where the hate comes in.... I applied for a job because I loved Lush so much! And my bubble of Lush Love was burst. I had a very negative experience with the people opening the store - a very large lack of respect for me and for my time. So, I didn't go for a long time. Finally, I needed something so I ventured back. The staff at this location was very friendly and helpful - sometimes a little more than necessary but no one can say that they weren't greeted for sure. Ok so fast forward to last Friday. At work we have adopted 4 families for Christmas. I was looking for something I could do for the families and thought hey - who doesn't need toiletries? So I gave the store a call and spoke with a manager - and I hate to say that I don't remember her name. Anyway, I explained the situation and asked if maybe they had items that they couldn't sell or that maybe had been damaged in shipping. With no hesitation, she said absolutely come in on Saturday or Sunday when I can get something together and pick it up. So, Sunday I went in and they had a big bag with 4 beautifully wrapped boxes ready to go. I was thrilled. I am still thrilled. So I am over my beef and I have to sing their praises. Products: Very nice. Love the bombs, love the bubble bars. Staff: Very friendly, very enthusiastic, and very generous. Store: Very small store in a large mall but everything is laid out and you can find it. And if you want samples - just ask! They will let you try before you buy. Thanks, Lush. The hippie in you loves that everything here is natural and fresh. The girly girl in you loves all the delicious smells and how everything is so pretty. Your inner tightwad is not ever happy here because she knows you'll be laying out some coin to get all the wonderful products you've sampled. I don't listen to my inner tightwad here - instead I listen to my decadent self and just go with it. This particular location was an unexpected find for me in the KC area. I am happy to report that it lived up to my other Lush experiences - which is saying a lot since I usually go to Lush in Santa Monica. Their staff was friendly, helpful and were knowledgeable about the products. I happily subjected myself to the standard hand treatment (mind out of gutter, you Lush fans know what I am talking about) . I was also interested in some of the new cleansers. I appreciated that they gave me a good sized sample of one of the cleansers I wanted to try - they sell it by the 1/4 lb. at $12, so if I am going to spend that kind of money, I want to really try it out. Of course, I didn't leave without grabbing a bath bomb (or two) - these are an essential for your bath-loving self. Warning: DO NOT buy a bath bomb from Lush that gushes glitter into your hairy partners bath, unless you want him to look like a walking human disco ball for more than week......if that's your thing, go for it! I love to spend money on anything that burns into the air, melts into a bath or washes directly down the drain. Seriously. Therefore it's hard not to love Lush. I love their product and the scents. My favorite product is the Big Blue bath bomb. It's turns the water the deepest blue (so blue that you can't see your hand under the water) and shoots out seaweed, all with the most amazing smell. I've tried a lot of product and it always puts a smile on my face. The thing that doesn't put a smile on my face though is the pricing. It's way high! It's filled with natural, fresh ingredients, free of harm to anything etc....but it is pricey stuff. I used to order online before we got a store in town. I think I prefer ordering online than going into this small small store filled with way too many employees. It's kind of uncomfortable to have 5 to 7 employees standing in a room the size of most kitchens, filled with product. I love Lush on principle--but I have this sensitivity toward scents that makes me second guess my entrance. Basically, you can smell Lush from a block down... I am not letting this issue influence my review because honestly, Lush is a great store. Making soaps from fresh organic fruits and vegetables, having little stickers of the person who made the batch (and the date it was made!) on each item, and always giving profits to charities for animal/human rights and the environment, Lush is a little company that can. Plus, I love those bath bombs with quirky names, the hippy soap that can be used as shampoo AND body wash (love the 2 in 1's), and love how luxuriant their soaps are (your skin feels AMAZING after you step out of the shower). So I have to suck it in (literally, hold my breath) and brave the strong scents so I can enjoy my splurge of awesome soap. Luckily they have little bowls of coffee beans to clear out your airways, letting you have a breather moment to get your senses (or sense) back. read more

I absolutely LOVE Lush! I discovered it about 7-8 years ago in London and was hooked the minute I saw "Buffy the Backside Slayer" sitting on a little display in front with a wooden stake sticking out of the top. Lush had my geeky heart forever. For years, I ordered faithfully from their website because there weren't any stores close-by. The soaps (Rock Star) are fragrant and lovely, the bath bombs are...well, the bomb, and the lotion (Sympathy for the Skin) is light and refreshing. And nothing makes a better gift for the gals in your life than a smelly box from Lush. But then Lush opened up in Oak Park Mall and I thought I'd finally reached nirvana. My dreams had come true! I could go whenever I wanted! Lush was only a 20 minute drive away! I could buy Lush in the summer!!! (Ordering from the website during the summer is difficult to do because it all melts during shipping.) But as soon as I saw the store, I deflated like a 5 cent balloon. It's so TINY! And every time I go, it's packed with more people than it can handle, along with the 20 employees that are hovering over you at every display. I can't handle that kind of personal space violation. At larger Lush stores, this isn't a problem. But at Oak Park's 20 square feet, I feel like I need to adjust my clothes and have a cigarette when I leave. As if that weren't enough, because it's always so crowded, it gets pretty warm. Warm temperatures plus 50 different strong smells tends to make me nauseous and I have to leave before enjoying the full experience of a Lush store: trying products, getting samples, smelling all the goodness, and getting tips from the employees on different uses for the products. I'll stick to ordering from their website where I can get my beloved Lush products shipped to my door and avoid the unintentional gropings and after-glow migraines from visiting this location. read more

I love Lush because there are alot of organic products out there, but Lush is super cool because they hand make theirs and send fresh product weekly. They do not store product and bulk ship. Of course prices are more expensive, but their Rub, Rub, Rub body scrub is worth the 26 bucks! I hate dry skin in winter--I spend a ridiculous amount of cash on lotions etc, and I like to exfoliate every other day. I can never find a body scrub I love; they are either too harsh or not harsh enough(I know, my problems are heartwrenching..) So I tried to make my own with extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepperment oil. It actually worked pretty good until I spilled it in my shower and almost fell to my death. Lush's scrub replicates mine, but is better and properly packaged to avoid being a statistic of those "bathtub" accidents my Mom always warned me about. I tried a sample of one of their shampoos and didn't notice an awesome difference like i did in the scrub but my friend Jocelyn swears by their hair products. The staff is always super friendly. I have also tried one of their mosturizers for the face. I have been using Kiehls for years and could not be swayed. I just love the whole concept of fresh products and handmade (a lot of times vegan) stuff is better all around! read more

What I really like about Lush is that fact that everything is all natural, but still has that 'contemporary' feel. Everything is handmade and is often preservative free (They also have vegan products and don't test on animals). They have everything from hair products to 'bath bombs' -they're like fizzy bubble baths you just drop into the tub. They also have 'solid shampoo' which is a disk of shampoo (instead of a liquid) for about $10 that you rub on your scalp. It is supposed to work just the same as regular shampoo yet is saving the plastic packaging it would normally come in. I thought this was a great idea, especially if you are travelling. This way, you don't have to worry about shampoo leaking into the rest of your makeup bag or suitcase. AND, you can take it on your carry-on if you are flying on an airplane. Even though the products are all-natural, LUSH is still pretty affordable, considering the booming market for these types of products. Some items can get up to $30, but that is often what you would pay in a salon for normal beauty products. Overall, although many of the items may look 'weird' by normal standards (less packaging; things coming as solids instead of liquids), I think that LUSH has really hit the target here. There is a definite market for these types of products, and they've commercialized it all over the world. This is a fun store, and you should check it out if you want a more 'organic' beauty routine. read more

I was introduced to Lush when I went to San Francisco. I fell in love with the store immediately and loved the fact that it was all natural. Of course I bought a ton of items and brought them back home with me, then I started ordering online. Then I got word that they had built a Lush inside of Oak Park Mall (not a fan of malls but you gotta go where the product is). The staff is extremely knowledgeable of the products that they sell and they can answer all questions that you have. This is something that I really enjoy about Lush, they seem to hire great people which makes it extremely easy to buy a product. I have been a Lush fan for years and have made a point of going to their stores whenever I was in a city that had a Lush store. I was thrilled when Lush opened their store in Oak Park Mall. Yes, it's teeny tiny, but it still does the job. Sure, I'd prefer a big store, but a little store that makes a great effort to please its customers is pretty great, too. The staff are sweet and helpful like at all their stores and they're always ready to give you a hand massage or send you home with some samples. LUSH is so great. I love their products and their staff. I hate it when employees just stand around and watch me waste time trying to figure out either what something is or what to decide on buying. LUSH's employees aren't like that, they're right there to describe what the different products are and help me decide what's best for me. The two products I've used are Seanik and Squeaky Green, both of which were awesome on my still maturing dreadlocks. The prices were pretty reasonable for being all natural and each bar lasted several months. They even have little containers for the solid soaps so you don't get soap every where after you're done using it. I would recommend LUSH to anyone looking for an inexpensive bar soap suitable for dreadlocks. read more

Lush is a fun place to look around, but sometimes I wish the people there would lay off and leave me alone. I can smell each thing on my own. Really, I'm good. Go away. I just feel so pressured when I go in, otherwise I would liek to go in there more. Everything, ok not everything, smells so good. Things are kind of pricey for the temporary nature of their existence (bath bombs, bubble bars...), but occasionally, I like to spend $10 on my bath to have some good "me" time. My husband likes to keep the bath bombs out before I/we use it, because he likes it as air freshener because they smell so good. I hesitated to review this Lush store because I'm a Lush fan but the tiny size and overcrowding made me stabby. Sometimes I have not even gone inside because it looked like a human jigsaw puzzle, especially near back to school and holiday season(s)! HOWEVER, I just saw that they have opened a new LARGE Lush store in this mall on the first floor at the end of Feb 2017. So the next time I visit should be a way better experience. Honestly even as a longtime lover of Lush products (especially their face scrubs, shampoo and conditioner) I don't love the in-store experience at any of their stores. It just isn't me. Too messy and touchy-feely. But when I need to restock this is convenient and they do a great job of always having fresh products with the full line available (even in the previous way-too-tiny shop on the second floor). read more

I started buying random items at LUSH for the last few years, but sticking mostly with my normal products. I would head to LUSH when I was craving a really good bath bomb. In the last 6 months I started buying regular products there, everytime the staff giving me new product samples. Almost everytime the sample was better, so I've moved to the new products. Next trip I am going to buy their new perfume and bubblegum lip scrub. Some of the products are medium priced and some are higher, but I love smelling like chocolate after a shower and don't mind paying $5 to buy the bar of soap that gives me that. I recommend the face masks as well. Love the smell of the store and feel like I must go there almost every time I'm at the mall. I have not regretted 1 purchase there. read more

I usually buy online from their UK site because it's cheaper, but sometimes I like going into the store to actually touch and smell the products. Yummy. The store is small and the claustrophobic in me has a hard time going in there on busy days, but, on a slow day, I can spend hours in there. The customer service is great. I love this place. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's usually busy. Yes, it's in a mall. Yet I still love it. With a few exceptions (sulfates in shampoos), the ingredients are real and recognizable, which I really value in the products that I use on my body. I'm a huge fan of the lotions and body conditioners. The staff can be somewhat overbearing if you're not in the mood, but I generally find them to be very friendly and helpful. Numerous times I have gone in thinking I want one specific product (thanks, Reddit), and after talking to one of the staff, I end up walking out with a product that is better suited for my specific needs. Came here visiting from Seattle. I love the Lush in Bellevue Square Mall in WA. When you enter there is music and more than one employee greet you and ask you what am I looking for. I need that because I need to know which soap make bubbles or not, etc. Not this store! Came here and it was empty..there were three employees, no music, no hello, no how may I help you.
