As soon as I walked in the store, I was greeted with a friendly hello and a warm smile. The store, was so organized and clean and smelled, beautiful, with all the wonderful fragrances, that the store has to offer. They, have some new fragrances, out for this fall and I'm loving all of them. Bath and Body Works, has always been one of my top stores, to go and just shop around and enjoy the refreshing sents, both at the same time. I am taking time to write an epic review because of the highly inappropriate behavior of store management, which ignited the spark for my decisive Bath & Body Works revolt... This was one of the worst experiences I've had at any Bath & Body Works. Buying, and even exchanging candles, should be relaxing and enjoyable, not stressful. I brought in brand-new, never-burned fall candles that that are currently on the shelves. When I received my online order after blind buying, I decided that I did not like several of the scents. These were brand new candles, I had my online order number, and my Bath & Body Works app contains my complete purchase history. This should have been a simple drama free exchange. Instead, Marley instructed what an apparently new employee to process the transaction as a "no receipt" return. I immediately said I was not comfortable with that because I did have proof of purchase. Customers should not be asked to process legitimate purchases as "no receipt" returns simply because the company's online and in-store systems don't communicate effectively. Throughout this unnerving lengthy interaction, I did not raise my voice. Marley, however, repeatedly raised her voice and becoming increasingly agitated. She proceeded to waste even more time "mansplaining" some policy to me that has never been my experience doing an in store exchange. instead of listening and trying to resolve the issue, she kept this incessant verbal loop going. I even told her there was no need for the situation to escalate over a simple candle exchange. The interaction took place at the front cash wrap, in full view of other customers, making what should have been a routine exchange feel like a public ordeal. I left feeling embarrassed and singled out. To make matters even more confusing, after processing the return, Marley rang up the replacement candles as a new purchase and showed a total of approximately $65. I had brought in current candles to exchange for other current candles of the exact same price that were on the sales floor. To save my sanity, I asked her to simply give me back the candles I brought in because I had used a 20% coupon. She told me I could not buy them back for the same price. This was my final breaking point with Bath & Body Works. Just a money grab... Bath & Body Works mass markets to what they call "consumers," not customers, to purchase seasonal collections, "limited-edition" fragrances, and online "exclusives'l many of which are blind buys because customers cannot smell them before purchasing. If that is the company's business model, then the exchange process should be easy, respectful, and customer-friendly when someone simply doesn't enjoy a fragrance. Instead, what should have taken just a few minutes turned into a 40-minute ordeal. It was 40 minutes of my vacation time that I will never get back. I walked into the store excited to smell more of the new fall collection and exchange a few candle scents. I left feeling upset and embarrassed over what should have been a routine transaction. More importantly, this ordeal was not fair to the other customers waiting in line. If I had been one of those customers observing this ridiculous drama over a simple exchange, I would have put down my basket and walked out. I have seen shoplifters running out with overflowing baskets being treated better than I was in this store. This experience has made me seriously reconsider shopping with Bath & Body Works. Premium customer service is about treating loyal customers with courtesy, respect, and professionalism. This company will never move beyond its current status given the increasing lack of service as made blatantly obvious in this store visit. read more

I love to smell everything in this store! It is great that they usually have special pricing if you buy a bigger quantity. An example would be the hand soaps (foamy and gel). Regular price for one is $7.50, but you can get 4 for $20 or 6 for $27! Pocket hand sanitizers (Pocketbacs) are 5 for $8, regular price $1.95 each. Small spray hand sanitizers are 3 for $15, regular price $6.50 each. They even have some fun Halloween products and scents, like Vampire Blood and of course the Fall pumpkin scents are here as well! I love how they are always bringing out new scents, but I really wish there was a way to access some of the scents from years gone by. But there is only so much shelf space! read more

I had such a great experience over here. I actually walked in for a return from a different store and I wasn't pushed any products but since I insisted on what sent I liked, they helped me smell sent very naturally. They told me to smell it on my way out Very nonchalant not pushy at all and I appreciate that. I love loving the sun and I think I would definitely rate the Store 10 out of 10 and I would love to go ahead and have my future purchases from Bath & body at this location. I am tired of hearing how my girlfriend goes here and is treated like she is less than. The customer service here is attrocious. It's random-sometimes they are super nice, then they are giving attitude to the next person. Nobody wants to come here if the people are rude half the time. There are some good people here and management needs to figure who acts which way and just adjust some attitudes or find people who are friendly to the customer more than half the time. read more

The  Product I return is call clean slate by bath and body works 3.7 oz / 104g. The can spray nozzle wouldn't spray. I asked for a manager because I was going to buy additional products from your store and the manager Caitlyn came to the register. i ask Caitlyn the store manager if she would apply a  inconvenience fee, to the Products I was about to purchase, due to the fact that I had to take time out of my day, drive a distance away, and return a product that I had originally purchase several days prior at your Town East Mall store location. The store manager advised me "NO" that she couldn't do that. (adding a inconvenience fee) to the Products I was about to purchase additionally.  I have always had favorable outcomes at your store establishments. I'm a continued customer of your store location and felt appalled by your store manager actions. P.S., on April 11, 2023, I called the 800 869 0158 Corporate Number.  I called to get a email address so that I could send my complaint statement.  Unfortunately,  the representative kept me on hold for whale over 25 plus minutes.  The representative then disconnected and I had to call back. My favorite location. When I get a great coupon or sale notice, I'd rather not mess with huge parking lots and winding walkways. This location works for me because I go in knowing what I want. So I don't know what's going on with this store now. This new batch of employees are terrible. I am literally sitting in my car typing this....I went in to get a gift and to get some room sprays. Well, I was not greeted at all, and there are several employees just standing around engaged in personal conversations and blocking merchandise. I was attempting to get rooms sprays and there was an older woman organizing this section as she is loudly talking with another employee and her friend. I had a little basket of wallflowers and body care items. I left it on the counter and walked out...I'll just order online. Marley please get your staff in order or you are going to lose some faithful customers due to the lack of customer service. Clean store! It is very well put together and everything placed beautifully. Conveniently located, no hassle of going into a mall and finding the store. I do feel as though the woman's body care selection is very limited. Only one small wall with your standard sweet pea scent and other classics. I did not find what i was looking for in that sense but loaded up on men's stuff and of course their famous candles. the staff is super friendly and makes it a point to greet you as soon as you walk in. I think her name was Vicky who assisted me, when i got to the counter she was already telling me what coupons they had before i had a chance to mention it. Great location and staff! read more

Who doesn't love this store!? I get daily alerts that drive me crazy by the hour but when the timing is right. I take advantage of the semi annual yearly sale. Things go from 50-75% off and you can walk out with coupons applied only spending half the original cost.Not to mention you will be stocked Up on candles, hand soaps, perfume and lotions for months. This is a addictive store. I landed pretty decent handful of goodies. And of course saved!!!! As always they have some plenty fragrances my favorite is merlot read more

Believe it or not I actually walk into Bath and Bodyworks on a mission. I stay focus. The employees here don't seem to understand that. They are obnoxiously loud, pushy and rude when it come to trying to sell me things. I understand it's there job but one (majority) of the employees doesn't seem to know what "I got this", "Im good", "I like to shop alone" means. Every time I walk in this location everyone is super extremely helpful and nice! Today I called to inquire if they had a sweater weather candle in stock. They don't, however the lady on the phone was so super nice and helpful that I felt inclined to leave this amazing review. I have never once had a bad experience shopping for years in this location and I just came here to say that. Our PTA shops here annually for teacher gifts (bulk shopping) and they are always so helpful with us at those times as well! read more

Shopped this location today as I received an email about a soap sale. All hand soap is $2.95 for two days only. Upon entering the store, I was not greeted by anyone, however there were 5 employees working in the small store. I immediately went to the wall with all the pump hand soaps. There was a sales person (Sharika) who was stocking the already very full shelves. She informed me that new scents were located on an opposite wall. I asked her if the scents on this wall were also located elsewhere and she said no. I was not interested in the new scents so I continued perusing the shelf as best I could. She was taking up a lot of space with her box of soaps. The shelves were already full stocked and many shoppers could not access the shelf without reaching around her. At this point at least 4 shoppers are trying to grab soap from the shelf and she had no plans to move. I could not understand why she insisted on standing there when it was obvious shoppers were not able to reach what they needed. At this point, she threw her hands up and said "Covid is still a real thing!". We all just stared at her in shock. I work in healthcare and know more than anyone that Covid is real and present. However, if she was so concerned, why was she not wearing a mask or why did she not move? Furthermore, why is she working in a small retail store?! I responded to her by saying, well we are all trying to shop. Her response was, well I am trying to stock the shelves so you can shop. Again, the shelves were fully stocked. She could have paused what she was doing and moved temporarily. Another shopper voiced the same when she said, it's a sale, the shelves are not going to be perfect! At this point, Sharika left the area but left her box in our way. Nonetheless, we all resumed shopping/browsing. At some point, a ceramic mermaid foaming soap dispenser fell on the ground. It had been sitting precariously on the shelf and one of the shoppers must have knocked it off. I bent down to pick up the broken pieces and return them to the shelf. I then heard Shakira talking about how I broke the mermaid and just put it on the shelf. She was talking to Vanessa and another tall employee with dyed red hair on the ends. I turned to tell her and Vanessa that I did not break the mermaid. I was so shocked by how this quick stop into Bath and Body Works was turning out to be so disappointing. I asked Vanessa for the manager and she said she was the only supervisor in the store. I doubted she was a supervisor and if she is, Bath and Body Works needs to revisit their hiring strategy. In mid sentence to Vanessa, she turned away from me and began speaking to another customer. I said, excuse me I was speaking to you. Vanessa then rolled her eyes and wrinkled her forehead at my me. I asked her then who the actual manager was and she said Marley. I learned at the cash register that Marley would not be in until 2pm (I plan to call her then). I also learned that Angela is the area manager or general manager of this store but she is on vacation. The only kind person in the store was at the register. I wish I had gotten her name. I planned to purchase more than I did but wanted out of that store immediately. Today, Bath and Body Works lost a bigger sale and a customer due to their staff's lack of customer service. I get that the world is short staffed and we should be grateful to those who showed up BUT we are also suffering from inflation and headed into a recession. Disposable income for things like Bath and Body Works is dwindling and you should really be grateful for you customers who showed up! read more

I went in for a gift for my mother-in-law's bday and explained her situation, this nice lady knew her products inside and out and gave excellent recommendations. When I went to check out, she wrapped everything in gorgeous wrapping, she also peeled off the price tags for me! Wow. You're a fool if you don't go to this Bath and Body Works. Went to avoid having to go to a mall or Mockingbird Station and it was the right decision. Parking was ample, the store was organized, and was in and out in less than five minutes. I love Bath & Body Works - their fragrances have gotten yummy and I have a thing for soap anyway - beautiful soaps are an affordable luxury and are nicer gifts than candles. People are candled out. Having said that it can all get pricey fast and some of the merchandising here can be confusing and it's not uncommon for me to get something that's not quite on sale because a) I love it and b) I can't keep track of it all. I never feel bamboozled though, just clueless. I've gotten good service here, i love a location that's not at a mall and this one is right by my Tom Thumb. read more

Went in to use the coupon for free "Fun Size Signature Collection Item" up to $5. I attempted to use on a $4 fun size signature collection fragrance spray, and was smugly told that it did not qualify. No where on the coupon does it say fragrance bottles are excluded, and I was within the amount limited on the coupon. The associate reiterated it was store policy, and overall had a foul attitude with no regard for customers wishing to make a purchase. I left the store without making a purchase, I will either go to another Bath and Body Works, which I assume will have better customer service and honor the coupons they send out. I know for a fact this coupon was honored for fragrance in the past. Inconsistent customer service is perhaps the worst thing about the retail industry.
