Everything is good until it is not. My online order was cancelled for no reason after the $5.95 offer was over, and on reaching out to the customer service, I was told to make the same order again and it will be price-matched from the backend. After getting multiple confirmations, I placed the order for thrice the original price - only to get an email DAYS later that price-match promise will not be respected. This store stands out, on the second floor of the mall. It is huge and brightly lit. As soon, as I came to the front of the store, I noticed the brightly colored sale signs. So, I knew I was in for a treat. As I walked through the store, I could smell the aromas of pleasant scents. The shelves were generously stocked. There was something for everyone. I found the 75 percent off table with some reasonable scents. I like the sink where one can try various lotions, soaps and perfume, then wash their hands afterwards. My daughter and I shopped there a week ago and the entire staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. On top of that, it turns out that I left my water bottle there while shopping, but did not realize it until yesterday. So, I called the store this morning and asked if they had found it. They told me yes, which I was so happy to hear that they had cared enough to save it. I asked them to put my name on it, and that I would be there sometime this weekend. I ended up driving there today to pick it up. They indeed had put a sticky note with my name on it, and the staff member who handed it to me even complimented the stickers I had on the bottle. read more

Worst location I ever been to manger is so mean and not vary understanding to. Went to Bath & Body Works on 11/28/20 at Hawthorn Mall. Select aromatherapy items were on sale for $5.95. I was trying to check out the the eucalyptus spearmint body wash and the cashier said it wasn't on sale. I mentioned that the board advertised said "body wash" on it and she recommended the body wash + foaming bath as an alternative. I went to look and asked another associate to clarify. This one associate named Sean/Shawn shrugged, and said "let the cash registers do what it does" and walked away. TERRIBLE customer service. Plus, I noticed Bath and Body Works does not have a customer feedback or survey section anywhere, hence the review here on Yelp. read more

The sales people are also very rude and not at all knowledgeable of their job. I went to this location to cash in an award - she did not honor it - treats the customers very badly and has an extremely rude personality - she definitely should not work in Customer Service - hope she gets fired. My future mother-in-law gifted me some B&BW products for my birthday, and I wasn't too keen on one of the scents she gifted me, which was Moonlight Path. See my previous review for Moonlight Path. Man, smelling that brought back memories of my teenage years when I was a crazy boy-obsessed youth. I have no idea why I thought slathering that one with bring all the boys to my yard. #epicfailsauce Anyway, I went back to B&BW to exchange my items for something else. Now, I anticipated that I'd have a hard time since I'm not very much into their scents anymore. I did, however, notice some candles. While browsing at the selection, I was greeted by one employee. We spoke for a while, before she left me to browse. While I was there, another employee, LaShaun, approached me. I mentioned that I had received gifts that I wanted to exchange them for something else since I did not like the scent. I asked how it would work if I wanted to exchange them for candles. She told me that the price for the gifts would be applied toward the purchase of another item. She asked me what kind of scents I liked, and I told her that I preferred something with a clean & fresh scent - nothing overly floral or fruity. She asked me if I liked fruity scents, and I said I did, so long as the smell wasn't overpowering. She asked me if I liked coconut, and I gave her a resounding "Nope, sorry!" on that one. LaShaun took me over to a section with clean & fresh scents. She understood my desire to have a more subtle scene, and she mentioned that her mother can only handle certain scents at B&BW, since most give her headaches. She recommended three to me, which were Beautiful Day, Endless Weekend and White Citrus. She sprayed the fine fragrance mist onto cards for me so I could smell them. I decided that I liked Beautiful Day and Endless Weekend the best. Next, she applied some of the Ultra Shea Body Cream onto the back of my hand, so I could get a better sense of the smell. She gave me a great tip to help the lotion last on my hands longer, which was to finish it off with a light spray of the fine fragrance mist. She mentioned that I wouldn't have to touch up my hands as much if I sprayed the mist on it. I definitely had no idea that you could spray fragrance onto your hands - I've only ever sprayed it onto my neck and wrist before. To me, the two scents smelled almost identical, so I knew I'd have a tough time choosing between them. They had a promotion going, which was Buy 3, get 1 free or Buy 2, get 1 free. She told me that I could mix & match scents, so I didn't have to get three from the same line. Before she left me to browse some more, I asked her for suggestions on clean & fresh smelling candles. She suggested that I try Turquoise Waters, which is one of their newer scents and is a blend of sea spray, sunlight and beach grass. I immediately fell in love with it, since it met my requirements for having a clean & fresh scent. They had a deal for 3 mini candles for $12, so I went with that instead of a big three-wick candle for $22.50 in case I didn't like the smell once I burned it. Then, I went back to the clean & fresh body care display and selected a White Citrus Ultra Shea Body Cream, a Beautiful Day Ultra Shea Body Cream and a White Citrus body gel. LaShaun checked me out and processed my exchange quickly and efficiently. She made it so that the exchange was even. I also inquired whether the two scents she suggested came in a hand soap, since I hadn't thought to ask beforehand. She was great about it, asked me what scent I wanted, and what type of hand soap - deep cleansing (with antibacterial beads) or gentle foaming. She brought both out and explained the differences to me when I asked. I went with the gentle foaming since I wanted something easier on my hands. I ended up paying just under $20 for the three Turquoise Waters mini candles and the White Citrus foaming hand soap. Later that evening, I burned the candles, and adored the scent. LaShaun's customer service was outstanding, and one of the best I've experienced at that store, and in general. She was so helpful with her suggestions, and she took into account my needs & wants. She was extremely knowledgable about the products, and she was incredibly patient while answering all my questions and inquiries. I highly recommend seeking her out for help. She's a true professional and extremely wonderful at what she does. And, in a way, she managed to singlehandedly change the way that I view B&BW and I may find myself returning there in the future - I definitely will come back to stock up on the candles once I finish using them. read more

Love love love this store!!!! It's a decent size location with lots of product. I almost always find everything I want when I go there. I'm always greeted by a sales person as I enter the store. They make sure they have a sales person in each section of the store. They are so sweet and helpful. They have enough staff so you never have to wait to long in line and once again I'm greeted with a smile and great customer service by the people at the register. I really like all of the products as well. They have the best candles that smell fantastic, burn clean and even. The body cream is decadent, home fragrance plugs ins are good too. But I never realized until Covid how much I love their hand sanitizer. It's by far the best you can buy. The scents are so great. I love that they are making larger sizes with a pump. I keep those around the house and in the car and then of course the small pocket size are great for your purse or pocket. Extremely rude employees. Didn't even say hi. Asked them if I could use two coupons at a time... no answer. Asked if they could see my coupons through my reward card and the employee replied to me saying "It doesn't work like that." Snobby and rude. My candle smells good though. Just the people working are absolutely careless. Deer park is much better. Go there instead. Or even woodfield. Wow! This company spends so much on advertising and sending out coupons! I try to use a $5 coupon for a fun size- I get to the register and I can't use it a a $6 item that is a fun size- I offered to pay the $1 difference - "their register won't take it" I tried a $4 "fun size" but I was told the register won't take that either!
