The gift bag section was a bit lacking but the sales associates were very polite and knowledgeable on the product lines they carry. I also noticed the sales associates actually interact with customers and walk the floor (a rarity this day in age). The price points on products were comparable to other nearby brick and mortar stores. Though I don't think it was necessary to knock down The Old Country Buffet (RIP) I think this store is good for greeting cards and mugs like Worlds Okayest [insert whatever title you want here].

I spent some time looking and checking out the different brands of colognes and I looked over the counter to see if the attendant would come and ask if I needed any help (most of them are behind a glass shelf). This guy had headphones on and for the entire time I was inside the store, he did not take his eyes off his phone, he did not acknowledge my presence at the store nor he tried to make any eye contact. With staff like that, this store is not going to make any sales and it will go out of business fairly quickly. Sad...

I went for a Yelp event and it turned into a full-blown obsession. The second you walk in, it hits you--in the BEST way possible. Every single scent is SO good it's almost overwhelming (in a "I need one of everything" kind of way). Nothing smells artificial or cheap--everything is fresh, clean, luxurious, and straight up addictive. We left with a full bag of goodies because self-control simply did not exist in that moment--and honestly? BEST decision ever. The dressing room attendants were friendly and offered great feedback, even running back into the store to get different colors and sizes, and also pieces they thought would compliment the look I was going for. I ended up leaving not only with a great outfit for the event, but also with a few other pieces to wear to work. I was already in the plaza and I had gone into every store not knowing what I wanted to get as a gift, so I came into Yankee candle. This location is a bit small , but super clean and super attentive and with a very nice worker. Sharon was the employee who helped me and welcomed me very nicely and was my helper for the next hour. I browsed the store not knowing what to do, explained to Sharon after I wondered around for some time and BOOM, she mentioned they have this thing where you can place an image on a candle and presto an amazing idea I printed a picture with a quote with an amazingly delicious smelling candle and it made a beyond perfect gift. My sister LOVED IT! At first I thought it was going to be tacky but nope! The image came out perfect and the quote I chose was just right. Sharon even wrapped it up nice nice for me with a bow an all. I had a really great experience in this location and I was beyond happy after I left. My sister has yet to light the candle because she doesn't want to waste it she says HAH!

The store overall had the same layout as others, with a large section for summer items, canned goods, health and beauty care and home accent items. At this Ocean State Job Lot, "I'll check the back" resulted in the employee actually finding what I was looking for. Maybe for the first time in my life. Nice! A whole stack of party supplies, from tiki torches to salsa, ran me $100. I couldn't believe how much I got for the price.
