The two men behind the counter are very knowledgeable when it comes to fragrances. They were nice and respectful letting me smell different fragrances they recommended. They have almost every cologne available but I am in the market of cheaper brands/ dupes and the ones Joe's had available have hit it out the park for me. Way better prices than the mall. Ultimately left with 2 fragrances in 2 days and will going back for my 3rd tomorrow. read more

Bought a bottle of Versace, the young man took it to the register, reached down and what I thought was he was changing out the " tester" I had just used for an unused bottle, he wrapped it in tissue. I got home and there was a different perfume in my bag, I bought the green version, he wrapped up the yellow version and it smelled cheap. I'm wondering now if the " fake" perfumes this store is warning about are actually being sold in this store. There is a no return policy. I will toss it and chalk it up to experience, you get what you pay for, only go to reputable sellers, not discount outlets. I would give zero stars but that wasn't an option. read more

-Poor selection. -They had my daughter change in some dimly lit, creepy back staircase behind the register. -They sell communion bridal gowns on the left side of the store and on the right the most random assortment of items for sale... ie Irish spring bar soap, deodorant, fabuloso cleaning liquid, shoe laces lol -Store worker was snippy, rude, and overall unprofessional. Don't buy perfume/cologne from this joint I repeat do not buy perfume/cologne from this joint. Was in the area and figured I'd stop by to buy a scent I've been wearing for YEARS! I know the smell better than I know the smell of my own farts. The bottle I bought smelt good for about 10 minutes and then the scent no longer projected or even smelt like anything. The scent should last all day and still be present on clothing the next morning and sometimes even skin the next morning. So with that being said common sense to me says the reason it's so cheap is because they water it down refill the bottles and then repackage. But hey I'm just some asshole on yelp wtf do I know right. read more

Stopped in here today after going for lunch, just to check it out I had nothing in particular to get. The inside is pretty big, lots of designer perfume and cologne at discounted prices. They also have some nice watches in the display cases, decent prices but not cheap. They have the most random stuff like personal products, leg warmers and gadgets. Reminds me of a mini flea market really. Overall nothing crazy but worth checking out. read more

Was hesitant at first but ended up finding this place has a HUGE selection of name brand cologne and perfume. I saved at least $40 bucks compared to buying the same product at the mall stores. I also got a gift bag for my purchase that was very sturdy for only $1! And a few sample size perfumes for $1 each! This store is also a children's boutique - I saw confirmation dresses / outfits, baby's first booties, party hats, etc. The service was very fast considering the lines and if you happen to pick up the wrong scent - if you bring it back in the original packaging, unopened, they will exchange it. Odd place but we bought our son's christening outfit here and we're quite happy with it. The women who helped us were extremely helpful as we knew nothing about the different styles available so they helped us choose the perfect outfit, including cute matching shoes. I say the place is odd because aside from christening outfits and other kid's clothes, they also sell items like perfume/cologne, watches, deodorant, shampoo, etc. Their prices, esp. for the perfume/cologne, are pretty cheap so I have to wonder where they're getting their inventory. Oh well, it's not for me to know and I'm sure I'll be back this coming holiday season for my cologne! read more

This place is hands down the best fragrance store in RI & Massachusetts. I am a men's fragrance addict and I can assure you that any fragrances you like from Nordstrom, Macy's or Sephora you can get here for at least 20% less in price. If you buy more than 1 bottle you will receive an extra discount. If Joe doesn't have the cologne or perfume you are looking for then it's not available anymore. He carries everything from Cool water to Dior all the way to Tom Ford private blends. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a fragrance for themselves or as a gift. I am Mortified at the experience I had here yesterday. I have never in my life been spoken to so poorly the way the staff spoke to metoday. I went with my daughter yesterday to go shopping for her First Communion Dress. I also brought my friend with me as well. When we first arrived my daughter had to use the bathroom. When asked if she could please use their facility they advised us No she could not and proceeded to tell us to go 2 blocks away to a restaurant called Marchetti's to use the bathroom. Seeing as they cater to children I thought that was rude/odd. But I let it slide. As my friend drove to the restaurant to bring my child to the bathroom I stayed behind to try and find some dresses for her to try on. The lady behind the counter who was trying to help me was extremely rude. She made me feel stupid for not knowing exactly what size my daughter was. (After all, some Designer dresses can run small/big, which would make my daughters dress size vary)   On top of that, the owner of the store came up to me and asked if my friend (who had previously been there to look for a dress) had already purchased a dress. When I told her yes, she actually found one today at another store......she proceeded to turn to the woman behind the counter and point to her and say in a extremely sarcastic/childish voice....."I told ya, she came here for a trial run." Then proceeded to turn around and storm off. When I asked the lady behind the counter what that was all about, she said...."Well we took a lot of time with her the other day looking for a dress." And I said to her...."But you didn't have the dress she fell in love with and purchased. So what was she supposed to do?"  At that point I was utterly disgusted and walked out of the store. I have NEVER EVER been treated like that in my life.  For those of you who have never been to this store let me tell you how they operate. This store won't let you try on any dresses that isn't your child's size. They won't let you touch the dress or even put the dress on your child. THEY put the dress on your child. And they also won't even order the dress for you if you want to purchase it in another size.  Needless to say I am extremely disappointed and will be warning others about my experience. read more

My sister told me she has been hearing from other moms about Joe's Place store. So here we came from New Bedford, MA to buy my God Daughter's First Communion Dress. When we came into the store we were immediately overwhelmed with the amount of dresses that they had. I did not envy my sister at all, but the sales women there really are great at their jobs because they listened to what my sister and my niece asked for and showed us at least six dresses that were perfect. When we chose the most perfect dress, Karen helped us with choosing a veil. Needless to say, my niece was a Vision of Beauty! We are elated and can not wait to return to choose her shoes and accessories. Thank You Joes Place so much for such a wonderful memory. They all made it very special for my God Daughter and my sister. I will be telling all my friends that have children about your store. Great Find!!! read more

Very disappointed in the customer service at Lori's Little Ones Boutique. Finding and buying a first communion dress for my daughter is something I have looked forward to for years. It is a special mother/daughter moment, unfortunately ruined by the rude and disrespectful customer service at Lori's. I arrived early on Saturday morning, shortly after they had opened. My daughter and I quickly picked out several dresses that both she and I liked. We were waiting for my mother to arrive as she wanted to be part of this special moment as well. Several rude comments were made by the sales person, who also happens to be the owner's mother. She made several comments about the number of dresses we had picked out. Yes, we had picked out about 10 dresses but I did not think this was excessive. Also, there was only one other little girl in the store at the time looking at and trying on dresses (and there are 2 dressing rooms). Finally, I asked the sales lady if she wanted me to put some of the dresses back. She said that typically girls only try on 6 dresses and find the one that they want. I find this hard to believe since the other girl that was there shopping was there for her second visit and this was our second visit as well. I asked her if there was a policy regarding the limit of trying on 6 dresses. If I had been told that she could not try on more than 6 dresses from the start, I would have adhered to the policy. Also, if there had been a sign about the 6 dress limit, I would have complied. The sales lady then went on a rant since the majority of the dresses we had selected were on the mark down rack. She said "some of these dresses - we only make $10 on and we still have to pay the employees." Really???!! I was in shock as to how I was being treated. I have never had such poor customer service in my life. She was so rude. She definitely ruined this special event for my daughter and me. I was so upset by how she treated us that she had me in tears. read more

So disappointing!!! I have been going about 2-3 times a year and look forward to my trips since I buy for me and gifts. I have always benefited from the knowledge and experience of the staff. They really know there stuff. However, I recently went in and had my very first absolutely horrible experience. And the store wasn't even busy. No one was in line so I took the opportunity to ask about scents I wanted to give as gifts. Well, it was immediately clear that the person helping me didn't want to be there. Like one word answers, it's strong or mild. And the kicker, the box is closed so you can't smell it. What perfume store doesn't let you smell a sample? I couldn't sample any not only the one's I requested. Then when I asked if my scent was available, it was short and curt, "No, don't know when, they make another and it's $80" Like what does that even mean. So I didn't get a deal on the one scent for me and cautiously purchased a few small bottles of unknown scents. After spending a modest $108.00 I left feeling bad that I made the person actually take a few items out of the case. I would have felt better if I was simply referred to someone who wanted to help me. I'm pretty sure this person was one of the owners which is scary. I really hope they haven't stopped letting you smell the scent first because that is how I bought many a scents. And what was more insulting was while I was choosing, the person took one out opened it smelled it and put it back and when I asked what it was I was told" I already put it back in the case". Joe's place has to be one of best places to shop for that special item or person. In addition their children's section surpasses anyone's expectation of meaning of special. The ladies that own that portion of the store are amazing and so gracious. They helped my daughter pick out a Christening dress for her little girl and believe me it was no easy task. They both had the Patience of Job and helped my daughter in every aspect of her trying to make that perfect decision. After taking out over 20 dresses to look at my daughter was so confused. The owner suggested that she go home. think about it overnight and then make a decision. That is exactly what she did and she chose the most perfect dress for her little girl. They also assisted her with accessories and didn't try to oversell her on any unnecessary items. They were both wonderful. I believe they are a mom and daughter team and it was a great experience. Joe of course is always so helpful and offers you the best price for whatever you are buying. I have been shopping there for years and very happy. Wonderful Place....... read more
