It is filled with good light, good music, & good smells. Yes, of course, it is a store. They have meticulously curated their collection of stones & crystals, jewelry, bulk herbs & homemade incense, books, pendulums, candles, & more. However - what makes The Veiled Crow stand out (& why I am confident in saying that it's one of my favorite places in Rhode Island) is that it's an EXPERIENCE. Both Loren & Tracey are masters of their craft & are so willing to share their precious knowledge with anyone who asks. That's the key, though. You have to ask. "What herb should I make tea with if I want vivid dreams?" "What incense should I burn if I am grieving?" "Which stone should I keep in my pocket if I am anxious?" or even just "Where do I begin?" I was already in the plaza and I had gone into every store not knowing what I wanted to get as a gift, so I came into Yankee candle. This location is a bit small , but super clean and super attentive and with a very nice worker. Sharon was the employee who helped me and welcomed me very nicely and was my helper for the next hour. I browsed the store not knowing what to do, explained to Sharon after I wondered around for some time and BOOM, she mentioned they have this thing where you can place an image on a candle and presto an amazing idea I printed a picture with a quote with an amazingly delicious smelling candle and it made a beyond perfect gift. My sister LOVED IT! At first I thought it was going to be tacky but nope! The image came out perfect and the quote I chose was just right. Sharon even wrapped it up nice nice for me with a bow an all. I had a really great experience in this location and I was beyond happy after I left. My sister has yet to light the candle because she doesn't want to waste it she says HAH!
